    I don't know if you believe this or not but the reason BLM and the forest service plug up mines it's not for safety it's to keep us from taking what they think is theirs. Not the government we grew up with but the new government is blocking all access to all resources especially Minds that can still hold gold. If you look around you'll find mines that are dangerous as all heck but they're not blocked off why because they know there's no gold in them

    A very well-done video but I disagree with you on one minor point. At 02:09 you state that humans produced the first copper from malechite ore. Not correct. The first copper used by humans came from native copper deposirs, which are nearly pure hydrothermal deposjts exposed at the surface by millions of years of erosion. Such deposits have been found all over the world. In North America, successive Native American civilizations mined the native copper deposits found in Northern Michigan.. At Ajo, Arizona, early Spanish explorers found native copprt deposits that showed signs of having been mined by the Hohokam people, whose civilization dissapeared around 1250 a.d.. A beautiful sample of Ajo native copper in on display at the Mine Museum in Ajo.

I use Libraries a lot for books, usually if they don't have a book I am interested in they will borrow from another library for me. I'll typically go through about one book every two weeks, so Libraries save me a lot of $$$ and space. I've never read any e-books before, so can't help you with that. I can't think of any specific titles, I usually just browse through them until I find something interesting to take home and read.

    Carbon is removed from pig iron to make steel, not added. Iron contains over 2% carbon, while steel is less than 2%

    • @LowBudgetExploration
      @LowBudgetExploration 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Dave. Thank you for the comment and I agree with you. What I'm referring to in the video is your ancient Bloomery type furnaces. Where they needed to get the oxygen off the iron and put it onto the carbon in order to make the gas carbon dioxide, which will be driven off as smoke (known as ‘reducing’ or a ‘reduction reaction’). At the same time introduce a little carbon into the pure iron, so that it produces an iron-carbon alloy, thus creating steel. This is what I'm referring too when I say, "add carbon to the Iron". I've read accounts/theories of different ancient groups adding the bones of their ancestors to the Iron to infuse the metal with the spirits of their dead ancestors. The bones inadvertently added carbon to the Iron, creating the alloy needed for steel. Not sure if any of that is true or not, but very interesting and a really good theory about the origins of steel. It reminds me of something you would see in an old Conan movie. Thanks again for the comment and hope my clarification helps.
