I have never understood why there are always these certain types of people in fandoms who have some type of superiority complex because they've consumed the media longer than newer fans, it's honestly so gatekeepey and cringe.

I haven't read this story yet. It looks and sounds incredible and I am looking farward to the anime. It saddens me that bl doesn't seem to be taken serious even within it's own fanbase, like comeon symbolic sex is stil sexual and it doesn't/shouldn't take away anything when done with a narrative purpose. Queer stories should be allowed to be told without people doubting that it is in fact queer why is that so hard for others to see? I mean It happens all the time Yuri on Ice is my best example to this day I still see people arguing about the censored kiss, because god forbid we mix Bl with sport or any other genre😂 Thank you for this video.

This is one of those things you enjoy alone. I don't care about anyone else's opinion, what people on tiktok say, or what others interpret it as. i LOVE the Manga, and relate to certain scenes and stuff. I just know the anime will be good, and I'm really excited for it!

What OG fans want: 1- This manga should not get an anime so that the manga is not offended. 2- They don't want new fans to come just for the ship. 3- They don't want the fandom to get famous, just average, so the fandom doesn't get problematic, but they want to enjoy the daily fan content!

Ngl I was upset when I heard that it was going to get an anime because it would be misunderstood by people especially some scenes that they would interpret as yaoi which they are not, because yaoi is content for straight weird girls.. but I realized that it should be interpreted in more than one way!

While there are people who do it out of some kind of egotistical “I’m better than you” mindset, the majority of people who make black edits are just trying to have fun with redesigns (and also want more representation in media they like) If they are claiming to have “fixed” the source material, that’s when it’s problematic People redesign characters ALL THE TIME And I’ve seen plenty of redesigns do the same editing format (search mlp redesigns on TH-cam shorts or TikTok and see how quick you find ones with the format of: original design -> redesign edit using the original as a base) But nobody notices it until it’s black edits, which is a bit telling in my opinion… Most of the time they’re just artists who like anime and want more representation, so they redesign their fave characters to look more like themselves You can criticize them without accusing them of being narcissistic Also grouping all black editers as some kind of monolith is??? Also interesting! I agree that selling black edits for money is… Weird. Whether you like it or not that’s tracing and you shouldn’t be making MONEY off of that But not every black edit is for money or to feel better than other people Some people who call out black edits are genuinely racist (ive see it) but not all of them are??? The fact that they focus on a gay person and thinking a gay couple is overshadow a lesbian couple. They aren't fan, they don't seem to care about the plot. And I dont think even care for the lesbian ship. They are just toxic people, who wants to stir the pot and bully a poor creator

The whole situation is stupid to me because there are literally people out there saying they “Fix” anime characters (Make them white not even asian) that have darker skin because they assume they’re black when really most of the time they’re Indian and don’t receive any type of backlash, but other then that I feel like people are doing the most it’s literally fan art it doesn’t effect the story at all if you don’t like it then don’t look at it it’s that simple. (I wish people would have this much energy when it comes to actual important stuff that’s happening around the world) Fan art is meant for the fans to express themselves, like this is nothing but pure brain, rot, and stupid.
