I have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee and I've got a knob on my dash that if I turn it it can either make the lights in the ceiling bright or turn them off and my advice would be if you got something like that leave them turned off when your car camping that way if you want to leave your door open when you're camping or boondocking somewhere and you want to get a little more air flow you can leave your door or your hatch open and you don't have to worry about running your battery down
Wal Mart parking lots are too busy for me. Too much activity to rest well.
Also don't mistake niceness and kindness and weakness All three are totally different

I live in Taos and it's great to see your take on our Wal-mart! I tried to sleep there one night just to see how it went and could not sleep. People up all night scoping me out, I'm too much of a hermit to be comfortable with that. Not alot of choices but there are National Forest cg up the canyon on Kit Carson Rd., hwy 64 east and a few probably full ones along the Ski Valley Rd.

Taos Walmart. Been there. Take 68 ten miles south to Pilar, Orilla Verde Rec Area. Turn on 570 and you'll find $7 campgrounds. The showers at Rio Bravo CG were working last I checked.

Taos' Kit Carson Park by the ball field has awesome shade trees.
Here's a tip when you're going to be spending the night in a Walmart parking lot try to find out where the employees park and park among their cars because they're going to be inside all night unless they come out to their car to smoke a cigarette and so you won't be bothered by someone parking next to you and being loud and obnoxious and waking you up.
I'd ask the afternoon Walmart Supervisor if they permit overnight camping and where they suggest you park. Usually find a spot on edge of where the night employees park. Advantage of Walmart parking is they have camera's.

I prefer to stay at a local hospital. Never had a problem at a hospital. mid to large cities usually have more than one hospital.
I’ve done it once. With 2 dogs it makes me stand out a bit more than I would like. That’s why I don’t do it often. But yeah hospitals are a great option to stay at! Thanks for watching and sharing the tip!
