The problem is they are not from space, but a crazed bot named David.
can we have the analysis without the introductory BS please?
I will write a comment based only on your review, because I haven't watched the film and already spoiled it with some recaps, but in his final scenes isn't it actually proving God's existence and the power of belief, because if somehow the killed girl have come to help her friend and make a final sacrifice for her this means miracle are possible when you have true love and pure heart and if this is only what the second girl sees after she was also being killed, than this means that there is literally life after death, so both cases prove the heretic wrong. Also religion having common elements doesn't make them the same. The main goal of let's say Christianity and Buddhism are quite different and they idea of spiritual development as well.
There’s too many guns in America show this to even happen in real life due to the fact that no person that’s only new guy name is letting some teenager with a mask in a knife take them out😂
I completely HATED this movie lol..... I might have enjoyed it better if it wasn't promoted as a "horror" movie. They was just no horror involved. It just felt like a rabbit hole of a Twitter conversation. All the elements of horror are completely made up by these young paranoid kids 😂😂😂
Death gives life meaning. That our time is short. Ancient one
I just saw this movie yesterday. I think Im going have to see it again to get a better understanding of the movie. Alot of cross themes
The real religion is control? Straight from Karl Marx. Nothing original in the religious debate.
I thought we would see Romulans in this movie
Youre video are great you will blow up one day continue bro
Throughly enjoyed the movie today especially in light of my Ma’s Catholic burial 1 month ago. Without faith or belief, even in one’s self what is there 🤔🫶🏻🎭
Too loud on the music but otherwise nicely done.
I thought the movie was pretty one-sided so I thought it was lame. They made the missionaries come off as naïve and unprepared. Not to mention, the opening scene was of them sitting on a bench talking about porn and they had a bunch of kids pulled down the missionaries skirt. That was totally unnecessary.
What a colossal pile of steamy poo. They’ve managed to turn Alien into nothing more than a teenage horror flick. Are we ever going to get a worthy follow up to the first two classic films? Apparently not. Sad.
Interesting analysis but the background music is too loud which is distracting and making it hard to hear what you say
🎉🎉
Great movie with very interesting concepts. You still have to think about the fact every religion is man made and men are so badly flawed how can anyone believe messages passed down from a time any modern science is back then would be deemed a miracle. Think about this; a lot of people are in born into religion and don't get a choice of what to believe.
Thought it was decent until the last 20 mins.
I just watched your Black Phone video and then this one, and i think im addicted to your channel. I LOVE when people breakdown movies and media to dig for something deeper and you do it in such an entrancing way!
Ah thank you! Very kind. Welcome :)
I’m hoping he never got freaky with the victims because I like his character
I really enjoyed this movie. It wasn't the best ever but I thought it was a lot of fun
I think joe and stephen have a thing for esp and precognition. And with joe we have 2 characters who have visions in nos4a2 and the black phone
Took a character described like john wayne gacy in the story and made him a dilf
I wasn't overly impressed with the film. It was good but not some masterpiece film like some seem to believe it is. Also this fellows analysis of the film is a bit boring as well. He seems more interested in setting a mood and retelling the story but without coming to the explanations of the films main character and his objective and why he does what he does.Thats the type spoiler I want to here and for heaven sake come to the point a little more quickly my good man. I don't need a story retelling.
well done, well done. I had the same question post the movie.. it's still so open ended, despite the whole movie explaining the point on control. and exactly, if it's about that, there is no need for such an elaborate story!
Great voice!
Humans keep telling those stories you mention from 5:50-6:20 of this video because the aliens who visited us (or them rather back then) told them all of this. Those aliens were at war with each other (advanced civilizations) and the heroes came about and contacted/communicated with us. There are no gods….just advanced other planetary species that contacted us 50,000 or more years ago.
I’m a fan of the franchise and this is the first time I see someone make a video essay with a more “philosophical” take on Alien and the interpretation you give it it’s amazing. There’s so much more to them aside the brutality and the whole aliens vs humans. Loved it and subscribed!
love your content man super well done
The Mormon church ended the practice of polygamy mainly because states had made the practice illegal. Not out of any moral obligation.
It's like Apple. "We invented this!"
What a great review!! Me and my friend just saw this movie and I was struggling to articulate what I found so thought provoking about it, and this was perfect. I also like that you included your Christian beliefs in the video ✝️ Christ is King
You're right, Egyptology doesn't disprove the existence of Jesus. The complete lack of any and all evidence of him does.❤
Religious folks don't get the "it borrows some elements" and instead think: "It's not true, it's slightly different!!!" 😆
I think scream hinting at the argument that horror movies cause more violence and that it gives people who have that capacity to do such things ideas funny, considering the “scream” murder in Pocatello, Idaho where after watching the scream movie two high school boys decided they wanted to see what murdering someone felt like. They did it very stupidly, and were caught pretty quickly after killing a classmate. 🤷♀️ super meta as sad as it is that it happened.
I was so upset by the drunk father beating his daughter in the kitchen (old style) that I couldn’t concentrate on the rest of the film.
Old style? Y’know there are worse ways to get beat
Plot hole is that I think the LDS would have sent 2 men to Mr. Reed, not 2 women.
I was a Mormon sister missionary. All missionaries are assigned to areas with strict boundaries and did not often compete for territory unless we came across Spanish speakers, in which case we would pass those referrals along to Spanish speaking missionaries, who might be male or female. I have taken referrals for single men and absolutely taught lessons on the front porch in the freezing cold because there was no woman at home.
It was far from a discussion. It was pretty one sided if you ask me.
❤
I could never get past the fact that the blind aliens had such amazing hearing that they could move at the speed of sound through a dense forest without hitting a tree. However, they couldn’t hear people if they tiptoed? nope
After being thrown down The well, the story is the opposite, there was no forgiveness. Then again, there was death, rather than becoming the pharaohs right hand man.
I agree with Mr. Reed that branded religions are used as tools of control and profit, but that doesn't mean they aren't pointing to a deeper reality. That's why they are such effective tools, if you can convince people it's the only way to obtain what they already posess
It is a surprising to see a quote from Mathew Pageau book. I’ve read the book and it was great
I have a suspicion that 6 will be focused on descendants of survivors from a historical ‘accident’. Maybe these descendants were also in the big ‘accidents’ of the 5 films. Death moving backwards from the immediate loose ends to the original ones.
Love or hate M, but ya can’t denied that this man is ORIGINAL.
As a medical professional, I can say that most people, before death, fearing death or even in a lot of pain, are quite religious. Atheism requires comfort.
Isn’t the beast of the sea, the leviathan and the beast of the land the behemoth? It seems like those names are taken out of newer versions of Revelation and now I’m wondering if I read them at all
It took me this long to realize that the two actors were also in Sinister
So how many times did you watch the movies??
Why does there have to be deeper meaning lmao.
Thank you. I enjoyed this movie but it also disturbed me. Thanks for the perspective
My neighbours LOL. I used to live in the middle of nowhere, not far from Cerne Abbas used to pass the Cerne giant all the time. Walked up that hill on May Day.
