I feel like with my video, and doing this for the first time, someone should be able to finish the job in 2.5 or 3hrs. Let me know how long it takes you when you finish!

@@joesdiy4260 Thank you for the reply. Yeah, I've been debating on doing the job. Where we live it's not really necessary to have the heater in the seat, but for a couple of months it would be nice. I did call the dealer out of curiosity and they were hesitant to do it since none of their techs really had experience doing it and they said it would be like $600, so no thanks. I'll add this project to my never ending list of projects.

@jamesb5863 The dealer cost sounds about right. I also bought the part from some random online retailer and sells genuine Honda OE parts. Ah yes, the list that never stops growing haha I wish you the very best. Take care.

The same SSD won't fit. As he said, G1 takes the 2242 size M.2 SATA SSD, while G2 takes the 2260 one. Dunno the answer to your 2nd question tho

I think at the time of this video there was a power steering pump + rack and pinion leak and a rear main seal leak. I fixed the first two, then the truck was stolen haha

Lol torqueing to spec. But honestly, it may look like I hammered on it, but I didn't tighten it that hard / much.

Truthfully, you never know until you run the part on the car. But things you can look for when you are in the yard to give you a high level of confidence that whatever part you are pulling does not have issues are: - Does it look new? - Does it have a reman sticker on it? - Is the part covered in fluid? If so, can you identify where the leak is coming from? Maybe there was something above that leaked onto the part you want. - Can you physically move the part in a way where you can tell that it is bad/broken? In the case of the rack that I pulled, I employed all of the above questions and I had a high confidence that it was OK. That's what you're suppose to do with any oil filter. My oil filter even comes with a paper saying to change the ring

Ramps are safer but they are not as versatile as a jack and jack stands, but that is my opinion. @joesdiy4260 Thanks, rear rotors are hard to find, but I found 2 along with everything else from Rock Auto and GM parts Online. I am so mad at myself for not buying this car brand new, but I am definitely loving it.

@pjh1776 I ended up getting FVP rear rotors and some GM brake pads (not OEM) and I wish I just paid the premium for the OEM stuff. I brake pedal feels different, not as much bite in the braking. I also flushed all my fluid at the time of the brake job.

Hello, thanks for watching and commenting, simply put, in the 18yrs of working on cars, I have never once opened the bleeder when pressing in the caliper piston back, I just leave the master cylinder cap off. I hope you found the video helpful and good luck on the brake job!

Every manufacturer (Fram, Bosch, Purilator, MAHLE, Mobile, etc) has a different model number for the same size oil filter. If you simply call an auto parts store and ask for a filter, they can help you out. Hope this helps and have a great day!

I really wish I didn't sell it. But I honestly do not know who makes all of what you are looking for, I thought the 4g63 drops right in 🤔

Hi, thanks for watching and commenting, because you say that you are not mechanical, it is hard for me to recommend a mod for you to do. But with that out of the way, I know people would use the bottom end (engine block, pistons, robs, crank, oil pan) and place a 4g63 head on top and create a stroker engine with the 4g64, but I do believe there is some mods that need to be done to the cylinder head, like oil or water passage block offs. I am 95% sure that the 4g63 engine drops into the car, but I could be wrong, I would check out the Egale Summit FB group, lots of smart guys on there that have done a 4g63 swap on these cars. IF you decided to do something like that, I would think you need play with the wiring. I know this is a daunting task and I hope my video makes it easier. Have a happy holiday!

I first would like to say thanks for watching commenting. It really means a lot. 😁 yup, I left the stearer tube long because I knew it would go into a different frame. I absolutely know I won't be building wheels for a living lol, I just wanted to let others know how long it took me since it could take someone shorter, as long or longer to build their first wheel set. I one million percent needed to dish the wheels, haha. I did a poor man's dishing by putting the wheels in frame and measuring left and right between the fork tubes and the back of the frame. I was able to get them dished pretty evenly. I will definitely not be building another set, but anytime soon, there is no need to right now. But it's fun to understand the process, and it is always a humbling experience when you learn something new.

From my 18yrs of experience working on cars that are generally 15 to 20yrs old and have lived their entire life in the rust belt (north east), I never ever lift cars from the pinch welds. They are the first things to rust and get very, very weak. This car is only 3 years old at the time of filming but I wanted to film with a lift point that I KNOW will be OK for 20 years. So, if anyone watches the video in the future, they can do the job safely.

Hello! Thanks for watching and commenting, I did a quick Google search and it says 5qts with filter. But I would still start the engine AFTER filling it with oil, let it run for a few seconds and have the oiling system prime the filter, turn it off, wait a minute to allow the oil to drain back and re check the oil level. Hello! There are multiple ways you can identify when to change the oil. Either 3000 or 5000 miles, milage depends on weather you use conventional or synthetic oil respectively. Another indicator is the oil life monitor, I generally change a cars oil that is equipped with an oil life monitor at 30%. You can wait until 0% but I always find that the oil has a very burnt smell and is very black indicating it is over used.

My mechanic told me to change the oil on this vehicle when the oil life monitor is at 50 per cent. He said this engine has a lot of problems especially with the oil line going to the turbo becoming clogged. That is why he recommends frequient oil changes for this engine. He said believe me it will save you a lot of grief with this engine.

@scrambler69-xk3kv that is amazing information and I would say that around the 3k mile mark, your oil life indicator will be at about 50 or 55%
