Why do you think the way you do? The Jeem Experience is about understanding the root of our religious and philosophical beliefs and how they impact society and culture throughout history. Here we also discuss proper theology versus metaphysical speculation, geopolitics, occultism, economy, and more. Author of the Misunderstood Bible and a soon-to-be-published horror-fantasy novel set in Al-Andalus.

Very Nietzschean critique of Neoplatonism.

FYI not all baptists, even most, don’t believe in the trail of blood theory.

"The Sabbath was made for humankind, and not humankind for the Sabbath." (Mark 2:27)
"The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank you that I am not like other people: thieves, rogues, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give a tenth of all my income.' But the tax collector... said, 'God, be merciful to me, a sinner!'” (Luke 18:11-13)
"There is nothing outside a person that by going in can defile, but the things that come out are what defile." (Mark 7:15)
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." (Matthew 22:37-40)
Well said
But isn’t Marx a materialist? Hence, dialectical materialism?
@@jmmanley not an expert, but it might be that materialism is neoplatonic.
Thanks for the concise overview.
Why can't you have incense in the Sabbath service? Because you are forbidden to kindle a flame. Prove that little tittle was abolished before the commencement of the new heavens and earth.
Looking forward to this sir. God bless you!
People say women are the weaker vessel but they automatically think it means our souls are weaker
Buddhism isn't all about oneness and unity and Nature and such. In the Pali Canon, the Buddha is asked whether there is a difference between the soul and the body, and he effectively says it's unworthy of speculation and applying the tetralemma to it wherein a distinction is made neither for existence, nor nonexistence, nor a reconciliation of the two, nor a double negation. So instead of entertaining a conceptual bridge between the mundane and supermundane like with neoplatonism, this is totally avoided. The salvific nature is thus rendered incomprehensible by the ordinary mind, and thereby faith is an absolute demand. This means that a Buddhist isn't saved in name by their belief system, but by actual temperance. This makes a healthy distinction between the common man of good merit and the saint. The man of good merit can hope to be a saint, but he is not afforded the conceit of self-reliance in terms of belief, so if he has defilement, he is still defiled, and absolutely so at that. No action he takes will change that, unless that change happens at the level of fate. This is important for separating high mystical authority from common priestly authority of defiled worldlings. When this isn't the case, you get overly intellectualized rhetorical modes of "salvation" and feminine reactivity in the form of guilt and shame. Allowing the commoner to think they can be saved by anything other than supermundane temperance comes with severe consequences.
tell us how is it in Lebanon after the treaty
I appreciate your work, Jeem. Thanks.
juicy & powerful
Your framing of Neoplatonism is utterly foreign to its thinkers. Have you read Iamblichus or Proclus? What you're describing the complete opposite of their worldview.
He's a former Muslim so his framing of it is from the Muslim neoplatonism.
We love you jeem!
jeemerch!
“The road is a Kafir, and I cannot communicate” that quote from like a year ago from the platonism explained video. Should definitely be on a shirt.
bro, pls do analysis on syria today. I read that an isis inspired extremist organization backed by turkey & israel are invading syria right now and took over current leader. Lord have mercy. what is the motives?

Big miss in the historic behavior of North West Europe inre how they regarded daughters as well as failing to note that the elite marrying off daughters is pretty universal from Japan, across Asia, Russia, Africa and elsewhere. North Europe in particular was more egalitarian than their Greco-Roman contemporaries.
Love you jeem
Thank you for this, Jeem.
Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
Failure to recognize the reality of the other which is exemplified in the feminine. That's why they were all homosexuals. Read Emerson and you will realize neoplatonic idiocy is the ground of American republicanism too.

Hey Jeem, is there a short list of the laws we should be keeping as Orthodox Christians that tends to be overlooked? I always thought that if we keep the fast, attend the vigil on Saturday and keep the feasts and morals that we are completing the law. Is there anything that stands out?
The law has been fulfilled. Love God, and your neighbor is the entire deal
Pagan philosophy corrupted the Christian soteriology
Jeem would you say Jesus abrogated polygamy? Or can Christians still be polygamous outside of the Orthodox Church?
Polygamy was never condoned in the Bible.
in Matthew 19 i would say He did
