The Vaccinator take bugs me a lil bit. I'm a Heavy main, and being told "well use your melee to counter the Vaccinator" clearly comes from people who've never played Heavy for more than a couple hours. And the "change class" thing is just straight up stupid, like "if you want to counter it change class" - people are fine with the idea that an unlockable completely negates the fun and possibilities of classes with one damage type, and that your only tool as a Heavy/Demo is to go back to your base and stop playing your desired class? aye okay sure
I feel like the guns in this game are designed like this on purpose because it’s silly and it makes gun experts pull out their hair. Also it oddly makes some weapons like the scattergun more satisfying to use

pretty sure the revolver actually used to have a animated cylinder and hammer when you fired but that obviously isnt the case anymore because they replaced the v_models with c_models in gun mettle
agreed with most. rest its opinion which everyone has their own so if someone doesnt like it they can suck it up :D. but yeah you arent that wrong
for heavy, I'd argue the sandvich is by FAR the most overrated slot pick, maybe in the entire game. It has so many good alternatives that just go unused because it's 'always' the best pick. the tomislav at least has the silent rev, which can allow for a stealth/jumpscare heavy playstyle and can be super fun in a lot of cases

As a slight correction, Indivisible particle smashers do exist but go under a different name, that name being particle accelerators. The Pompson is a particle accelerator and it’s still engi’s worst primary.

real grenade launchers arent like revolvers, I don't know why you made that comparison, also you are telling me you can do research on everything else except the grenade launcher, well okay heres my two cents about grenade launchers, like I said they ain't like revolvers, they make look like it but they aren't therefore they don't exactly work in the same way as a double action where pulling the trigger is slow due to having to pull off two actions like rotating the cylinder and the firing itself, the grenade launchers in real life require you to wind the cylinder like a music box because it runs on a coil mechanism therefore you forgot to point out that not only does demoman have to reload the chambers but wind it up as well in order to fire realistically, and yeah typically the action on grenade launchers are fast which makes demomans grenade launcher in that specific aspect to be accurate because instead of when pulling the trigger it cycles the next chamber using finger pressure it uses the coils pressure making it significantly faster to follow up more shots since the double action is much faster by having to eliminate the factor of the finger pressure being required to move the cylinder, its like a regular magazine where it has the spring pressure to chamber the next round except its a coil and its on a revolving cylinder.
The way you talked about the Tomislav is such a breath of fresh air. I'm so tired of people being so objective with how they rate weapons. The whole point of how TF2 balances its unlocks is allowing you to form different playstyles and using what you personally like the most. Good vid. I don't agree with all your picks but overall your thoughts were well-explained. Small tangent, but I definitely think the "e-sport-ification" of TF2 (Meet Your Match) contributed to people taking the balance of weapons way too seriously and focusing way too much on winning and topping the scoreboard (as you mentioned in the Scout section). I mainly play TF2 Classic nowaways, but I queued into a Casual 2Fort lobby recently for fun because I just wanted to play around with the Classic rifle for a bit. The amount of bitterness, rage, and sweatiness in the chat was mind-boggling to me. Someone was lambasting my team's Medic for not being "good enough", people all around were raging after getting killed, and in general it all just feels so vitriolic and miserable. Felt like those Skial rage videos to me. There were definitely sweats back in the day before MYM, but holy crap it's just gotten way worse since that.
I believe the reason the Stock grenade launcher has a Cylinder Capacity of 4 is do to balancing? If im correct the Grenade launcher had 6 shots but was likely nerfed in either one of the earlier patches from 2007 or was a feature in the beta builds Oh and another thing the L'Etranger technically reloads wrong as it's based on the Russian Nagant M1895 which holds 7 rounds in the cylinder and is technically a gate loading revolver like the Single Action army. Also it's likely Spy is using a Nagant “Officer’s model” which is Double action over a Nagant “Private's model” which is single action.

@carnageraby7590 that is a slang term more applicable to much larger caliber cartridges, such as for field guns, tanks and artillery (far as I’m aware). Although they do encompass the same general idea, so the term “shells” being in place of “cartridges” isn’t incorrect, at least not in the same way that clip and magazine are used incorrectly.
Spy’s revolver actually used to be fully animated with a moving cylinder n all. They removed this in 2015 when they added skins to tf2

Baby face losing boost is seen as such a negative thing. 360hu/s is fast, and with any boost you're probably at least 400. 520hu/s is VERY fast. That's 30% faster than Scout normally; the run speed cap. Spy gets an extra boost from cond 32 compared to other classes for mysterious reasons (cond 32 wasn't adjusted after his 20 u/s speed buff), so he goes at 505hu/s after a big earner stab. This effect feels more potent bc of the motion lines cond 32 adds. Meanwhile, BFB, besides being held to the standards of the speediest class, communicates better the loss of boost as a punishment more than the gain of boost as a reward. You don't primarily feel good from a meatshot because you can go fast now, and many just feel a rollercoaster of opportunity anxiety, others no satisfaction. I don't rly use the BFB, but I can't help but feel like a scout weapon with -2 ammo and -10% speed that just gives you a speed boost on kill would be seen as better, even though that would be a direct downgrade from the current BFB.

The problem with scout and his stock is that scout is the only class that suffers from the "I see multiple ppl on my screen and have to kill them, so i need all the shots i can get" problem. Every other class either has splash dmg, range or instakills with a relatively ez get away. So every other scatergun having smaller clips is just a huge downside.
Imo the most overrated Pyro weapon is the Phlog. People either love it and use nothing else, and despise it and want it nerfed into the ground, but imo it's just... meh. It's a very boring weapon that revolves around a very boring and restrictive playstyle, with none of the flexibility Pyro is known for, and being very dependant on the Scorch Shot as a clutch to even be any good. Phlog Pyro basically consists on spamming the Scorch Shot at a choke point until you have the crits, then you hide somewhere, and wait until you can enable the crits and kill some distracted players. And for a more aggressive playstyle, you need a medic constantly glued up your ass. I mostly like playing Pyro with the Dragon's Fury and either the Detonator or Flare Gun. The Dragon's Fury does absurd amounts of damage without depending on some gimmick like the Phlog does, and it still has most of the versatility of the stock flamethrower, still having the ability to airblast, although not as fast, but if you time your airblast carefully instead of mindlessly spamming it, it's perfectly serviceable. And if not the Dragon's Fury, it's also pretty fun to combo the stock flame thrower with the Flare Gun. I also experiment with other combinations of primaries and secondaries at times, but I can't bring myself to use the Phlog + Scorch Shot combo, it's just mindnumbingly boring without even being as effective as people hype it up to be compared to the other options.

@@magic_milkman3434 I understand that’s the case in the lore. Look at them side by side, no two parts are the same. The buttstock is different, the barrels aren’t the same shape, the hinge is in different places, etc. If you took a broken pulled apart a Chevrolet, and then assembled it back with Ford parts to the extent that not a single piece was Chevrolet anymore, it’s a Ford isn’t it? The repair work I can see is the tape and bands holding everything together.

12:29 The reason why people dislike this so much is because this requires team coordination in a game almost entirely designed around players mostly working around their own selfish agendas, and teamwork mostly being emergent. Most people log onto this game to just play their favorite class and getting frags or a killstreak, and for most of TF2, that's perfectly fine as long as you're not stacking more than two spies. The vaccinator punishes the enemy team for having that kind of individualized playstyle, and that's not what most people find fun about TF2. The other strategy for dealing with the Vaccinator is going for melee hits, and for most players, that means switching to Spy or Demoknight. Problem is that weapons that force the enemy to switch classes in order to beat also fuck with the game's design philosophy, as it means switching off the class that's your favorite and that you want to play. Aside from not stacking Spy and making sure your team has a Medic, TF2 mostly tries to avoid forcing players into those kinds of choices, and Valve's said that directly. It's not OP, people just don't find the counterplay fun cause it turns the game into Overwatch.

Eyelander being the overrated weapon is based, but playing it for myself, I kinda realized that playing to keep a killstreak going isn't as fun as getting lots of charge or getting health back on kill. Demoknight is much more fun when I get to be aggressive and allowing yourself room to die is more fun. I don't really play Demoknight for killstreaks, I play him to obliterate Vaccinator Medics (or other important picks). With other swords, it's more worth it to risk going for a sentry, as long as you know how to fool them... and as long as there's only the ONE sentry. I know Solarlight said the same thing in his video about Demoknight's best sword, but it's an observation I made on my own before his video dropped. Full health back on kill is really fun.
Everything you said about the tomislav is wrong. The difference between stock and tomislav is huge! The thing is, neither is better, they are both good but for other reasons. First, stock has a lot higher dps, which results in you being superior to the tomislav heavy when you are constantly in the face of your enemies or there are so many of them that your worse aim doesn't really matter. Another con would be tomiheavy vs stockheavy. You will simply not deal enough damage to out dps him. I had games where I switched to brass beast in order to out dps stock heavies with medics! BUT! This would mean that tomi is inferior to stock but it isn't the case! Tomislav allows you to jump and rev your gun, so you can always be ready for unexpected encounter (huge strat for heavies). You can also more effectively jump around the corners to ambush someone. Heavy should push with the team or camp so the silent rev is extremely valueable too! just hide in the essential corner and ambush people, you can't do this using stock! In fact, that's how you play heavy casually, that's how you have fun without rushing the objective! Tanks irl stay in strategical places too you know? Not to mention, it often is your last hope when you know that you are outnumbered, just sit there and wait for them and kill as many as you can. In conclusion, tomi is my go to weapon when the enemy team doesn't have stock/brass heavies. It really is the best heavy gun, anything else is just situational. dragon mouth gun when you play payload or there is a lot of places to jump from to ambush players while burning them, natasha against the scouts and demoknights, stock when the enemies are constantly in your face, brass when you need to outdps other heavy or you're defending sentry style. you just don't know how to play heavy.

All counters, it's not hard to stop a demoknight at all actually, they have resistances yeah but you have time to react unless they're already chopping your head off. 11:36 yeah no, it doesn't. Any explosive or mildly high damage enemy can outpace your healing, especially once you start having to reload. 12:37 WRONG you can stack all three at once you troglodyte. Not to mention, you can constantly have resistance to ANYTHING BUT MELEE. And it's not "an extremely exploitable medigun" in the way you said, it's extremely exploitable for the med using it, not for the enemies 14:43 no. No it isn't. It's genuinely the worst knife, you're much weaker and it has few benefits. More health? Cool, or I could use the YER or big earner and not NEED extra health because I'm gone anyway. Not to mention that all the other knives provide more than a single benefit, the Kunai (and stock tbf) don't.

"Even if you're fighting alone, if one is giving you a hard time, you can switch to Soldier or Pyro so you have two damage types on your person." Why should one weapon have the ability to turn off my interaction to another player? "Allow me to remind you of the insane power of stock UberCharge or even the Kritzkrieg. In the right circumstances, you see team wipes with those mediguns somewhat regularly, and never once in my life have I seen a vaccinator medic carry a push on his own." Yes but would you like me to tell you how many Ubers/Kritz I've nulled due to the vaccinator? "In some situations it's annoying, just like anything else. I mean, you can't really have something be perfectly balanced in every situation-that's impossible." That's the point of side grades to be stronger in SPECIFIC circumstances. The vaccinator is very annoying in a majority of situations. "For being so 'overpowered' and in need of a nerf, it's a very exploitable medigun." Fair enough but it is still too strong in pubs with random players who may or may not know how to properly exploit it. "People who cry out to the heavens begging for a nerf on this thing? I cannot see your logic." Their logic is that it limits fun more than any other weapon. Ya like running a banner? Too bad the enemy medic is using vacc. Like flare punches? That's an ez 6-18 seconds of building to turn that fun combo off. Hit a nice quickscope just before you died? Eh, he was on bullet res so he's still standing.

the vaccinator argument you made is flawed. medics can pop all 3 damage types at once if he got the uber for it making whoever theyre healing basically invincible for those few seconds. i met a guy on casual a year ago who had made binds for the vaccinator so whenever he pressed those binds the vac would pop either flame and bullet or blast and bullet at once. it was impossible to kill him and his healing target.
11:39 funnily enough the more i got better at the game the worse the wrangler seemed to get cus your positioning sentries in better spots where the wrangler's upside of extending your sentry range matter less
@99999bomb the range extension is not my issue with the wrangler, I don’t hate that part. The damn shield makes it impossible to kill head on. You have to have a clear shot at the engineer **and** kill him faster than the sentry kills you, then kill the sentry gun. It’s ridiculous.

28:16 You are correct actually, one of the comic explains that (wrong animations aside) A lot of the weapons, shotguns included, are defective and malfunctioning garbage that the Team buys for cheap and are extremely prone to breaking and exploding
However intentional or not, the guns being so loose on reality is fitting for the cartoon world. Guns in shows are rarely ever that accurate, just enough to be recognized.
