Now, there's something delightfully ironic about driving a Town Car as a daily, especially for someone like me who doesn't exactly fit the typical owner profile. How much louder are all terrain tires? BFG KO2 vs Highway tire
มุมมอง 12Kปีที่แล้ว
Are all Terrain tires really that much louder? In this video I use a decibel meter to discover just how much louder an all terrain tire is compared to a highway tire. I changes to a slightly larger BFG KO2 from a Bridgestone highway tire. I was not able to tell a huge difference my self at highway speeds. At lower speeds of 40 MPH I could tell there was a deeper tone, the lack of highway differ...
Why are hospital outlets upside down?
มุมมอง 1.5Kปีที่แล้ว
Hospital outlets are often installed upside down as a safety measure. Placing the electrical sockets in this orientation helps to prevent debris, and other foreign objects from falling into them and potentially causing a short circuit. Additionally, having the ground prong facing upwards reduces the risk of electrical shocks, as any electrical current will travel to the ground rather than to a ...

Is your roadside kit enough
มุมมอง 74ปีที่แล้ว
an over-prepared roadside emergency kit is like bringing a bazooka to a knife fight. Sure, it might make you feel better, but in reality, it just adds unnecessary weight and clutter to your vehicle. And in the end, when you're stranded and in need of help, you probably won't have the tools you need. Your car and your sanity will thank you. Good job
popcorn ceilings, you got to wear mask, it can't be good for your health
Does this get smell out?
I bought a Grip 6 belt not happy with it, perhaps I should have bought the wider one but I just don’t like they the way it fells wrapped around me. It feels like it’s to thin. However the Grip 6 socks rock, they’re the best socks I’ve ever had!
Those are the best vehicles ever made for reliability. I just don’t see the point in owning one if you don’t tow anything or go extreme off roading. Thats what they’re made for and why they have engines that only get 13mpg.
Why not show how you actually took the leather off
The following is just my opinion, worth what you paid for it. I have not tried the Grip6 belt. I have been tempted, but my intuition tells me that it is overly hyped. Even if it remains "rock solid" throughout the day, which I doubt, I often make small adjustments, and this design seems clumsy in that aspect. I was talking with a guy wearing one this week, and I did not care for it aesthetically. After trying every type of belt except for the Grip6, I prefer ratchet belts. I tried the Kore Essentials holster belt, which is similar to the Mission belt shown here, with no complaints. But the belt / buckle on which I finally settled comes from SlideBelts. I combine their Wide Buckle with their synthetic Survival Strap. I now have several combination of strap color and buckle finishes, always buying when they are on sale.
Thank you so much!
Safest is the residential way where the ground is protected and stay connected if the plug falls out. Little more research next time.

I'm thinking of trying something similar. What exactly stopped you from trying to remove the plate? Also, exactly what Rustoleum product did you use? I found one that says it protects up to 1200 deg F.
Like the tape and cut out. I wondered if any paint mist got in where the water goes. If so then I’ll cover that part with a bag or something when I try this!
Hi I want to buy same steam machine, pls suggest where to buy
far better versions on amazon, any clothes steamer
The all-terrain would perform worse in every measurable metric on the road. grip, noise comfort. would have to be a very old tyre.
Use zip ties
Thank you!!! I'm off to the store to get supplies!
So Im about to blow your mind, but, the reason the tires hold so well with just a small point of contact is because there is more weight in a smaller area. If you spread the weight out more you will get less traction on wet roads. Changing the tires 15,000 miles before its time is pointless. If the tire has tread and the wear marks are not even with the tread, its still gripping just as good as a new tire.
Not true, contact area is independent of grip. Changes in an off road situation though.
They were flipped to ensure the ground that protects users of appliances by making sure the ground is always connected should the cord be partially angled to disconnect the top of the plug. With the ground on top the first conductor that will get disconnected should the plug partially fall oit would be the ground. Leaving the cord live with no ground protection on the appliance to protect the user.
Thought you said this was gonna be Simple 😂
Right? 😂
Lol excellent video, i also bought a 100 series land cruiser this week, for similar reasons 159k miles 2006
Mercedes-Benz strongly recommends to its customers that tires should be changed at 6 years regardless of tread wear. Sooner if sun rot has started to show in hair line cracks in either the sidewall or tread areas.
I changed mine 4 years in Texas heat
Awesome job. Can you tell me more about the cement? Brand? Do you just put it on the center foam pieces? I'm going to order all this stuff now and do this to my 01 Land Cruiser with 218k. Thanks
I just used 3m spray contact cement, it works great, you can get lots of different foam on amazin
What does the cement do?
@@alexclark7533 if you add foam to bolster up some of the old foam its a great glue for it
Oh you’re using it as an adhesive to add additional foam, now I’m following thanks
I am here for the one year followup video that was promised. How is your coffee pot holding up?
like shit, the paint wore off in about 3 months
it was about 6-9 months before it looked as bad as it did in the first part of the video
Nice GShock!
Also consider SL (passenger) vs XL (LT or light truck), but mostly we consider load capacity as well. If you do not tow and want a more comfortable ride then a SL might be considered. If one is going to be hauling and towing, then one will want a LT with a higher load capacity depending on use case. I have two Jeep XJ Pioneer's that I daily drive, with one having some 236/75R15 General Grabber AT2's which I can hear the difference that has some miles that are several season old here in NW Washington. And last year I got some used cheap Travlestar EcoPath 245/75R16's for the other Jeep XJ Pioneer which have a AT designation on them made in Thailand, but are not a LT but a SL tire which are quieter. I decided on the AT2's over the KO2's at the time as the AT2's were lighter but I sacrificed one sidewall layer. If one looks, one can see those two tires are basically the same in tire pattern at that time. But feel free to use the SimpleTire website to compare tire sizes and weights, not that I'm advocating them as a vendor. I also use the tire calculator on tiresize dot com when I want to see the difference as well. I had been considering 235/85R15 to replace the 245/75R15's as they'd give me a bigger rolling tire with a narrower tread width. aka "going skinny" As to avoid some possible rubbing by going to a bigger tire. But there's a weight change as well.
If you had a guard on that wouldn’t happen
Steering rack is a tough job, am planning do this soon myself but wondering if I should take it in
All terrains are way louder, I’ll never use them again
Don't try mud tires your ears might bleed. I don't even hear my tires over the drone of the exhaust.
Better than new…
Both Lasfit - T series T15 and GTR-Lighting - Carbide series T15 are the same. I like the dark finish look better lol. But Lasfit and this GTR-Lighting these led bulbs are ultra bright ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Whink rust stain remover will remove that rust from your glass
Vinegar and dish soap works too
You are my favorite TH-camr of all time.
Did you know?
Paints are not recommended by mfrs of hot water plates, because they can chip and peel, causing bits and pieces to end up on floors - - where kids and pets can get them - - walls, eyes, and even drinks. Use a 40-60 grit sanding sponge, available in most hardware/lumber stores instead of a drill; it's more work, but, easier to control. Alternate a minute or two of sanding with cleaning with wiping of a lightly damp paper or cloth towel to get rid of the rubbed-off rust and scale. Continue doing this until 90-95% of the rust and scale are gone (you'll never get rid of 100% of it, and the pitting will not go away, either). Then, after wiping it clean and dry, put a sheet of aluminum foil over the maker's metal; it won't eliminate the problem, but, will delay it for a while (if you buy it new, put the aluminum over it, immediately!!!). Also, while you're at it, clean the water tank with a mixture of 50-75% water with white vinegar, lemon juice, and CLR (or similar liquid lime cleaner; do NOT use ANY corrosive materials stronger than that), then, pour it into the coffee maker's water tank, and let it sit for at least two hours. Then, run the coffee maker as usual. Then, run the coffee maker with PLAIN water at least three times to clear out the acidic solution. If you can't see any discoloration or smell anything after the third time, then, you're good to go with normal brewing.
Like the sander and vacuum idea!! 😀
what solution do you use in the spray bottle for the soles?
Great explanation thank you for your video
why not leave it bare metal?
the bare metal will rust
@@loutwo i just threw it out and bought a new one for $15. it's a drip coffee maker, how fancy can it get.
Love you suv
Very expensive here in Australia !
How does the paint reacted with heat cycles? Did it smell bad , stick to the pot?
after a few months it began to peel off, with daily heat cycles after the first day or two the smell went away
can you make unbox video, may I know your gmail?
That looks sketchy AF, either way up to be honest. That said, I can think of one valid reason for wanting the two flat prongs at the top: gravity pulls down on the cord, so you want as many friction points above it to prevent it from falling out of the socket, i.e., two prongs vs one earth prong. The other problem here is that US cables need to be twice as thick because they carry twice the amount of electrical current than in countries where mains voltage is 230 V, which only exacerbates the problem since cables will be heavier. The safest plug is undeniably the ridiculously over-engineered UK plug.
Why coffee maker manufacturers don’t recognize this problem and make the burner plate out of stainless steel is beyond me. We have a Cuisinart coffee maker that is in the same predicament. Our $25 Mr. Coffee brewer in our RV has a stainless burner for crying out loud.
I agree, I also have a cheap Walmart coffee maker thats very very old, and the plate is stainless.
We got a krups last month and it’s already starting to happen
@beboboymann3823 I think it's deliberate, to make people go out and buy a new one! This is one I did with mine over the last two days: I filled the plate with White Vinegar, and let it soak several hours. I was able to scrape some of the corrosion out, then every few hours I cleaned it out and added more White Vinegar, then started using steel wool pads to get the rest of the corrosion out. It appears that what's under that black paint IS stainless steel! I'm not going to paint it over with that high heat paint this time, and see what happens!
Would that belt support my Dessert Ealgle? Sometimes I like to wear it when I’m mowin the grass
Ordered these and about to install tonight. Great video. When they arrived I see they are white light covers instead of the clear ones. I think these are the 2400 lumens. My shop is similar to yours. Do you think these will be bright enough or should I order the 5000 Lumen clear ones?
My opinion is that the leather was good quality however, something being sat on by a 150-200LBS person everyday for 20 + years, I would expect ripping/tearing/drying out etc.
Nice job
