First drift session with the FC! Ignore the hood rattling against the hood pin...I do. Welded up the diff myself and it seems to take the abuse. Car is still on a basic tune but was safe enough to beat on a bit. All first gear stuff and was great to learn the movements of the car. Also let one of my best friends rip the car around too! Thanks for watching! More fresh content on the way!

    I'm just curious about using ATF instead of power steering fluid in the PS pump. How has that worked out? RN I'm using Lucas Oil PS Stop leak because my PS Rack has a small leak. 370,000 original miles 97 4Runner 2.7L 4cyl. Doesn't use a drop of oil between changes. Having same problems that steering wheel valve nipple broke and the owner before me diy it. And screwed a bolt on the end of one of hoses . I failed my smog due to that now trying fix it . I replaced the part but just can’t figured where the other hose was once connected

  • @JacobCulverhouse
    @JacobCulverhouse ปีที่แล้ว

    I had the same idle problem check for shorts in cables like the wiring harness also check your MAF. Since you said you blow smoke, unfortunately could be a head gasket. Also most definitely a vacuum problem look for a factory service manual. Or find a video, pictures or diagrams of the hoses

      idk if you've figured it out yet but, I'm still quite confused on how the previous owner did it. all i've been able to find is the blue wires jumped in the video behind the glove compartment, instead the previous owner attached it to an ignition wire so when you turn the key it gives power im assuming. When i bought the car all he saiid was "press the ac button if you're over heating, it kicks the ac fan on too", and didn't go into what he did. But ill check the high side pressure switch tomorrow to see if thats jumped. Ill come back to edit the comment if it is jumped and where to find it

      @@John-pp6xy I couldnt get this to work for my 93 miata and i ultimately wired in a toggle switch just for the fans and i must say i like the switch way better. nice switches are literally just a couple of bucks and youll need several feet of 18 gauge wire but it literally only took me an hour to complete. i put the switch on the left side of my steering wheel next to my cruise control. theres a lot of good videos about how to wire a fan switch and i can also post one of my work if youd like

    So, at the moment, I'm chasing an overheating problem. I came across this video and thought maybe a previous owner did this to my 90 Miata. The fan doesn't kick on automatically, but the idle jumps to about 1200 and stays there. I saw another comment say that his jumps too, but as far as I could tell, the engine is bogged down while on and the idle never settles like you said to him. Plus, his is boosted while mine isn't. I thought it was a broken fan sensor connector, but this video made me think a previous owner did this to bypass and just have manual fans. The AC was also removed, but I know nothing in terms in wiring so I have no idea what to look for or where
