Live In Largo Maryland, in The Capital Center,July 8 1979, this one is from the dynasty tour,Ace playing a really funny guitar solo, fireworks, lights, smoke coming out of the pick ups, pure fun,and don't take it so serious because it isn't mean to be that way,so just sit back and enjoy the show.

the police at gateshead , What can i say? this is by far the best version i've ever heard in my entire life, i just want to share it with the world so, enjoy!!
Beautiful band ❤️
✝️💙🌈⚡
Saw them at The Edge in Toronto March 1979. I had never seen anything like them before or since. Just sublime. Sting wore his one piece plumber's suit. We were lucky the pipes didn't leak that night. Also saw Nash the Slash there. I loved the late 70s. Admission was $5 cdn may be 100 people there max.
Do what Sting does here is FN HARD. Playing that bass and singing with very different metrics... headblowing.
Dommage que la fin n es pas était à la hauteur des débuts
Sting Stewart Copeland et Andy Summer
J aime depuis 1979
The one and only Space Ace!!!!🤟🏼🎸
Molto bella
that was horrible. crap. why has he gotten to god status is beyond me. anyone who thinks this is good playing has a childish appreciation of music. i grew out of this garbage when i was 12. found jimi hendrix. led zeppelin. deep purple. the who. etc etc etc
Just a super cool looking rock star period. And that he can play that well is icing on the cake.
Thank you the Corrs; their title led to this better one, hence the increased number of views! 😂👍🏻
Such a unicorn of a band. They could twist it around and backwards and inside out anytime they wanted. Like silly putty. Super complex silly putty.
Amazing oniric fascinating charismatic mathematical scientist 1:02
Detroit rock city, was the common up his finnality, so what else?
Is work very good in guitar❤❤❤❤❤
It’s ridiculous how good this song is.
Once I was walking around NYC in my teens, it was early 2000s , and I saw Stewart Copeland. I said “ holy shit it Stewart Copeland!!!” Of course no one in my friend group knew who I was I was talking about. Stewart turned around and laughed and gave me a sort of acknowledgement.
Almost as good as RUSH 🎉
Now I'm not a mudician and know nothing about playing guitar, but my understanding is Ace Frehley can't read music but plays by ear. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong
I don't know how he can sing playing those complexe bass line not even on the same vocal line, this guy is a bit an alien
The Rockpalast version from 1980 is better!
the power.. of the tele
What is it about Rose Cousins that keeps us coming back? Her magical voice? Her ringing acoustic? Her spot-on cover of “I Want to Dance With Somebody”? Cousins is a 🇨🇦 treasure
Still underrated in 2024 despite their commercial success decades earlier.
What a sublime performance - thank God without any intrusions from the horn section that Sting added to the line-up on this tour. As Andy noted in his diary, "they're all very nice people, but I'm not sure what they have to do with The Police".
Gets better as time goes on; accrues meaning, association, depth and gravitas: the chords, the intricate percussion patterns, the bass line complexities. The real poetry and lyricism. The best. The future is but a question mark; it hangs above my head there in the dark.
Fantastic!
This band is genius. I’m sad for anybody else who can’t recognize it.
Ace made me want to play guitar... Then I did, he sucks, but he's still one of my favorite guitarists lol.
Copeland a Golden God here with that turnaround.. Just incredible. And the rendition here is mesmerizing.
2:20
Am I dreaming or they attack the 1st chorus in a total counter-tempo ?
His solo s legitimately freaking rock man it's not like the guy said they're not extremely technical but man he just puts together the whole package and it just blows the freaking lid off your head it absolutely enthralls me man every time I hear one of his solos I mean it just does something to me even though you know I'm a huge fan of guys like Frank Zappa Al Di Meola John McLaughlin Robert Fripp Alex lifeson Steve Vai and Buckethead do I need to say more but this guy is still incredible to me is truly from another planet. He's like a smoother and more powerful version of Jimmy Page in my mind
Damn Sting is in that pocket And singing too Phenomenal
Bring on The foam
Ace & Peter are the only ones😮 I can stand from kiss.
La puta madre Gracias Dios por hacerme hincha de the police
,70s ace can't be touched
so ritchie blackmore didnt exist? jimmi paige? eddie van halen? etc etc etc. ace is the worst player ever. kiss sucks hard
Ceratti 😊😊
Full of sniff
I'm a total fan of The Police. They are top notch performers, also. But... Is it me or there is a bit of de-synchronization around 1:19?
This was just a spectacular performance. Can’t help but wonder what Garry Gilmore would have made if it all! The song survives but the story behind this cover version of the Last Exit track is pretty much forgotten to history
First guitarist I ever saw live, 1978, Riverfront Coliseum, Cincinnati Ohio.
Lucky you.!!
Magnifique Paul 🎉❤🎉❤
Don’t know what to say listening to this. Anything wouldn’t do it justice. Sickening how talented they are - as a trio there is no better.
RUSH maybe
Ace fucking Frehley!!! Oohhhh yeah!!! Kick ass!!! 🤘
They were all over the place on the chorus lol, they mutilated this song🤣🤣🤣
It’s amazing that Andy Summers can play that 1 note for an extended period of time without missing it.
Little more than one note
@@johnrpenny2156at the very beginning of the song I meant. The 52 second mark shows him laying that one note down. Amazing!
Did Spielberg and co. get royalties? 😂
now how do i make my snare drum sound like this
