My advice to you based on my learnings is to find a strabismus surgeon sooner rather than later so you can get their opinion sooner rather than later. I kept thinking the doctor I was talking to was a strabismus surgeon, but they weren’t and that delayed things while they tried other stuff.

Hi Sir, My name is Teresa. I am 58 and was diagnosed with GD at 57. I did not take the vaccine. I was diagnosed with GD in 2022 November. My symptoms started in July 2022. I have been diagnosed with TED in March 2023. My eye started getting bigger in June 2023. You are spot on. Think about it, they developed Tepezza over the past 2 or 3 years. How did they know it would be in such high demand? You are a smart man. I was in the service. I knew the entire C 1 9 was propaganda immediately. All of the major corporations having pre-made commercials stating, "We are in this together." They did the same thing we do to the countries we invade for regime change wars. Psychological Operations. Never! Trust them again. I am so sorry you are going through this agony. My journey with this has been over the past 9 months. One eye bigger than the other, one that doesn't move with the other. Such a pain in the eye! God Bless you for having a sound mind and the ability to see the truth. I believe my GD was induced by all of the vaccines we took in service. No more!

    • @rickburns4572

My only significant problem was and is double vision. My eyes weren't bulging out to bad. My left eye not at all and my right eye only a little bit. My uneducated understanding is that decompression surgery is more for the bulging issue, but I am really guessing a bit there. All my doctors that had TED experience (3 of them) only recommended Strabismus surgery. The good news for me is that the strabismus surgery is the least invasive surgery.

Thanks for the update. I do hope you post again after surgery. And I hope it goes great...I saw a strabismus surgeon but for the time being I'm not going ahead because I do not have double vision. He actually said surgery could cause double vision in my case. My problem is that both my inferior rectus muscles are "scarred down" so I have no up gaze. However they are symmetrical. It's really bizarre. I can't roll my eyes. And it's really uncomfortable going into big shopping centres because I can't look up and scan my surroundings. But of course that's not important in the greater scheme of things.

No double vision in most of my usable sight picture. Peripherals still suffer, but I can deal with that! Recuperation was way easier than I thought it’d be too. Hey Rick! Been wondering how you’re doing on Tep round 2. Keep your head up and know that the surgery will absolutely change your life for the better. I’ve had one already, and it was within 2-3 months after my last infusion. It did wonders and restored about 60% of my vision to a singular picture. Dr. said that he can do better with a “fine tune” and so I’m happy to go under again the week after Thanksgiving. It’s not perfect and it never will be, but with the right surgeon I’m here to tell you it will get much better. My procedure was the adjustable suture strabismus surgery and it was in both eyes, even though I thought only one was jacked up.

I’m Canadian and Tepezza is not yet approved here. I have Graves and TED. I went through a course of high dose IV steroids for TED.,, but it didn’t help at all. I am told there is nothing else that can be done except to wait for a year or so to get past the active phase of the thyroid eye disease and then they will do surgery to try and remove scar tissue and correct any eye bulging. (Potentially). Meanwhile, my double vision first appeared in June of 2023. It is now Oct 30th and my vision has deteriorated to where I wear a 13 prism diopter film on my right eye to make me functional. Without my glasses I cannot function at all. It has only been 4 days since I got the 13 diopter film and already I can tell I my sight has deteriorated since I received this prescription. Since August, I’ve been going in every 1-2 weeks to have my prison lens prescription increased so I cannot imagine what vision I will have left in a year if it continues to deteriorate at the rate it is now. To say this condition is taxing is a gross understatement. For all those out there also suffering with TED… my heart is with you.

Rick, good luck with Tepezza round 2. Just wanted to give you a quick update in case you find yourself where I did. I had adjustable suture done 2 weeks ago (ended up needing it on BOTH eyes despite what I thought) and here to tell you I wish I would’ve done that months sooner. It was nothing near as bad a surgery or recovery I expected, and according to my Dr my right eye was among the worst he’s seen in his decades of experience. I hope if you end up needing surgery that it goes as well for you. I was in and out in -5 hours. Double vision is at least 50% corrected, and I expect it to get better as I exercise my now moving eye.

Good to hear from you and good news on your results. I’m headed in that direction. Plan is for the surgery about March 2024. Thanks for the update.

I got Graves and TED after I had a monoclonal body infusion for COVID treatment. I never had any health issues before that. I think you are absolutely correct in connecting these things. I've been having the same suspicion all along.
