It's a disgrace the seals tried to steal his honor and do it even today...why this video even pops up...the seal took the honor and Chapman didn't get his recognition until the Cia feed came out...getting his recognition 16 years later is complete bulls hit ...Seals left two on that mountain and John made it possible for them to get their guy back. Finally took the Rangers to get him off the mountain and I can see why other spec units don't like the seals

Willie certainly looks the part and cuts a dashing figure as they say. Skills Willie. My dad was in the first NZSAS Squadron, 1st Ranger Squadron, he too was a quiet guy like Willie and never complained, i bet that is what Willie is like and guys like that are great team players because they always have great morale which is the best thing for a team when things get a bit sticky. Couple of points, heard what you said about activities of your youth, pig hunting in Willies back yard would make that carry seem easy, the other aspect was summed up in a song by the Hollies "HE AIN'T HEAVY, HE MY BROTHER".

A veey big Navy BZ for snubbin' 'ol Hill, my arm would have to fall off before I'd contaminate my hand by touchin' hers. For the record: Theu weren't jist Navy Seals.....they were NAVSPECWARGRU...or more commonly referred to as Seal Team 6...Tier 1's Tier 1. They lmew exactly where she was and they HALO'd from 32,000ft. so the planes engines wouldn't alert the "trash". In my 25 years of Naval service, I've had the privledge of sharin' a few cold ones with guys from Teams 2, 4, & 6 im the Chief's club on Little Creek Amphib Base....what they did that night in Somalia was just " "Takin' out the Trash".

I hope James Earl Jones rests peacefully knowing his roles are still loved by generstions to come. It still doesnt feel real that he's dead, he voiced my childhood. I thank James for everything he has done

Mate this is awesome. I can't wait to do exactly this with my little girl! What a great tribute to James Earl Jones too. Such an Iconic actor and with that voice it's no wonder they got him to voice Darth Vader. Perfect casting.

I had the good fortune to show my daughter this movie in a big-screen theater, when she was about 10. She sat glued to the screen for the entire movie. The moment Vader said this line, she turned to me, looking mad, points to the screen and without thinking, shouts "THEY STOLE THAT FROM TOY STORY!" I burst out laughing, as did everybody in the theater. I gently explained it was the other way around. . To the only man who could truly have brought Lord Vader to life. ANY tall, muscled-up bodybuilder could have filled the suit. But only you could fill his soul with such depth and menace. Sir, if you were English, you'd have been 'Sir James Earl Jones'. R.I.P. .

The problem with all these SF type selection courses is, no matter how well you can run, how many push ups, sit up, chin up, how much you can get wet, cold, sleep deprived, none of that is remotely the same as being in a gunfight and realising your likely to actually die. At that point it gets real and it sounds like Luttrell ran. None of this hell week style training filters for the final courage to stay in combat, there's way too much glory and acclaim attached to being in one of these SF roles, which means it is likely to attraction some of the wrong type of people.

Dood you gotta understand the difference between civilians and not just trained soldiers but trained special operators. The problem with Marcus covering his ears and quitting is that he is the medic of that team. He’d rather have the enemy kill his friend to stop hearing cries for help than do his job. You’re absolutely right that that’s a normal civilian reaction but when it comes to being a valiant service member, Luttrell himself knows he’s an embarrassing puppet who sold himself to be such to keep the truth from his failure to give his absolute best to fight to save the 1% of life of any of his members next to him who obviously would fight to the death to save him when the roles are reversed. I feel bad for him that he knows he has to live with the truth every night he tries to go to bed or every time he looks in the mirror.
