Not mentioned in the video, this method does not require blocking your squares! There is no sewing required, either! Join as you go means that when you finish the last square, you're done! However, it's not a very portable project, which is a major drawback to this method. However, I find it fun and hope you give it a try! You may find it fun, too!

Really good tutorial! But it was kinda hard to follow the stitches on the dark colour yarn for the dirt, you were going so fast too 😅
@vaishnavisprakash6046 the dark color is always a challenge! 🥴 I should have done it on a lighter color. If it helps, TH-cam does have an option to slow playback speed so I don't move so lightening fast 😄

That is an adorable square. I have no desire to make a temperature blanket, but I do want to make a solid color or pastel colored blanket for my bed. This would be beautiful for that purpose.

I'm going to give this a try. For a lefty I'm thinking the starting square that you mark would end up at top right and not top left. Any thoughts?
My daughter is actually making one and she's a lefty! The sequence of squares are the same, she works each row of squares left to right, but how she joins looks backwards. She does a 1 sided join from bottom to top instead of top to bottom and a 2 sided join from the bottom, up, and to the right rather than i do starting from top working left then down. I hope that makes sense but I can make a video to show you if necessary 😊

I recently learned how to stack a single crochet, and now I don't think I'll ever go back to using a chain in place of a double crochet. I love your tutorials! They are so easy to follow even if the pattern you're doing isn't super simple, and I appreciate that.

My oldest daughter is a lefty, too! I taught her when she was 3 and she just switched hands to her preferred (left) hand and took off from there 😆 I think that's a great idea, doing a wedding present for a friend! I'm sure they'll love it!
"You have two feet, you need two shoes." ahaha that brings back memories; I think I said the exact same thing to my daughter. This is by far the easiest-to-follow fern pattern I've found, which is perfect since I'm still pretty much a novice.
