Rick Tobin is an author, painter, photographer, podcaster, and sometimes musician acting as an entrepreneur through the emerging Luna Gold Art flagship. It will be in full operation in June of 2023. The Luna moth is the brand's logo, as it sails past the full moon on a warm summer night...something I experienced firsthand once in Arkansas as an armada of them floated around me in a field filled with flashing red and yellow fireflies. That is why I think of the Luna moth as a magical mascot.
Speakeasy Boogie-Woogie

Start with a wide rolling pan from the point of view of entering a speakeasy bar in the 1920s. The small room is packed with many men and women dressed in drab winter clothing for winter in Chicago. Clouds from cigarette smoke drift over the room from the ceiling as many people are smoking. As the camera goes in for a semi-close-up of the long bar, many patrons are sitting around it drinking from small glasses as a burly, balding bartender serves them. Behind the bartender is a wall with recessed lighting displaying a large variety of types of alcohol in many different colored bottles displayed on three shelves. The bartender is wearing a brightly colored shirt with his sleeves rolled up on his forearm. As the camera moves left it moves toward a close-up of a young black man with short hair playing boogie-woogie at a standup piano in the back of the room. He wears a simple brown suit with a white shirt and black tie. Several patrons are sitting around him listening while two couples are dancing at the side to the piano music.

I am in El Paso Tx on the border with Juarez. If anything happens do you think we should head south?? Or will North ( like NM, CO) would be a better choice??
I'd recommend high ground, with a water source, and a cave if you can find one. Considering your location, you might give Alpine a visit, It has drawbacks, but it is an interesting location. It's too late for me to make plans like that. I'm too old and beat up.

Just look at the high-level individuals that have passed, naturally or disappeared...and those who suddenly stepped away from top spots of leadership. Just stay awake in 2023. It's becoming clear that with all the brain and consciousness theories out there, the proof will be in the pudding. By this I mean, can any particular theory be used to create a human adult level conscious machine. My bet is on the late Gerald Edelman's Extended Theory of Neuronal Group Selection. The lead group in robotics based on this theory is the Neurorobotics Lab at UC at Irvine. Dr. Edelman distinguished between primary consciousness, which came first in evolution, and that humans share with other conscious animals, and higher order consciousness, which came to only humans with the acquisition of language. A machine with primary consciousness will probably have to come first. What I find special about the TNGS is the Darwin series of automata created at the Neurosciences Institute by Dr. Edelman and his colleagues in the 1990's and 2000's. These machines perform in the real world, not in a restricted simulated world, and display convincing physical behavior indicative of higher psychological functions necessary for consciousness, such as perceptual categorization, memory, and learning. They are based on realistic models of the parts of the biological brain that the theory claims subserve these functions. The extended TNGS allows for the emergence of consciousness based only on further evolutionary development of the brain areas responsible for these functions, in a parsimonious way. No other research I've encountered is anywhere near as convincing. I post because on almost every video and article about the brain and consciousness that I encounter, the attitude seems to be that we still know next to nothing about how the brain and consciousness work; that there's lots of data but no unifying theory. I believe the extended TNGS is that theory. My motivation is to keep that theory in front of the public. And obviously, I consider it the route to a truly conscious machine, primary and higher-order. My advice to people who want to create a conscious machine is to seriously ground themselves in the extended TNGS and the Darwin automata first, and proceed from there, by applying to Jeff Krichmar's lab at UC Irvine, possibly. Dr. Edelman's roadmap to a conscious machine is at arxiv.org/abs/2105.10461

I just ordered 12 cans of No-Salt-Added Sardines, packed in water, just in case. After seeing your video, I'm going to order more. I like the idea of Sardines because of the lower mercury content compared to Tuna. This will help round out the variety of canned and freeze-dried meats I have hoarded since early 2020. My husband is not screaming at me as loudly as he has in the past about buying "crappy food", because he has "wakened" somewhat to the New World Order agenda, the impending food famine, etc. It's been a struggle.
