That's Yukiho's character trait, she's afraid of men and dogs. But she does slowly got used of Producer in both the anime and the continuation in the games. You should also check out Shine Post and idoly pride, they are closer to idolm@ster's treatment of men. The male manager helps the idols out in a lot of things, which is more grounded on how managers/producers work.

I’m not sure if anyone has explained this for you, DeliveryMat, but there is a reason why Chris reacts strongly when somebody touches her, especially in the first two-three seasons. After enduring the abuse Finè inflicted on her and her past abusers who took advantage of her as a child, she got extremely sensitive to skin to skin touch thinking it’s intimate, even if it’s a friendly gesture touch.

Keep that last scene in mind for the rest of the season.

I agree to the fact that Idolmaster did stand out among other idol-focused anime by not alienating men as they were plague. I also like that Producer-san is part of the main story rather than just a background person for being a good help to these girls for their growth as idols. The next episode will have four of 765PRO in... well, you'll see when you start watching them. If "cooking" was used long ago the way it's used to this day, then the people behind this anime did cook something delicious it really worth tasting it. Anyway, you might now seeing a pattern here, so I'll just say it referring to the next ED: prepare your heart for that beautiful song, for it will live in your head rent-free. (Ah, now it makes me want to rewatch the entire season again the nth time. I really can't grow tired of watching this anime.)

Yukiho is a girl who can push herself as hard as she can for other and producer is simply a nice guy to be with, I would want a guy Iike him to be my producer too.

Im a parent and unfortunately you hear this a lot where other parents are entitled and believe there child is better than the others. Im in the uk and it happens but its a whole lot worse in asian countries. Im chinese and i feel like i have to prove my worth as a parent to my relatives by the accomplishments of my children. The pressure on parents to make sure their kid is successful is huge.

@27:33 - Technically there's Ritsuko, she's the 13th idol in the games, but they made her a producer in the anime. It also ties in with the im@s 2 game, where due to scheduling (and mismanagement) Ritsuko, Azusa and Iori seiyuus weren't able to fully commit to the voicing the characters for the game. And you answered your own question.

Honestly, there's a lot of history about the im@s series, and I salute you for starting out now despite it's 20 year history. idolm@ster is the longest running idol series that have various spin off with the different "branches" and how there are dedicated "Producers"/fans for each of them. People that only consume the anime, you are only enjoying about 10% of the content of the last 20 years. While the OG anime still holds up today, you have the games and the stories contained in them, we name them commus, that really fleshes out every idol's character traits and personality. If you think 13 is big, it's nothing compared to the Cinderella Girls roster of 190 idols. After you finish the OG movie, there's a split in the continuity. You can go down the SideM route and enjoy the stories of the male idols. Or go down the Million Live route, where the anime only came out a couple of years ago, and it follows the next generation of idols in the 765Pro agency. Then you can either go with the spin offs - Cinderella Girls or Shiny Colors. Cinderella Girls's first cour is a carbon copy of OG's S1 where you get introduced to a core set of characters. 2nd cour is where it splits and the themes differ a lot. Honest opinion thought, I like Cinderella Girls 2nd cour more than OG's 2nd cour. Shiny Colors anime is an OK experience, and to be honest you get more mileage out of Shiny Colors if you have kept up with the game's story and lore for the past 8 years. The game's lore and stories are really on par with many good VN stories. Lastly there's Gakuen idolm@ster, the newest of the im@s branches but there's no anime yet. Basically it's Love Live, but the idols don't hold their punches when they roast each other. Watch the various translated commus of the game's main story. The traffic light trio are a riot and have the best comedic interaction so far. Sorry about the long post, but you can tell I'm a long time im@s producer, so there's a lot I can go on about. One other thing you should also check out are the live concerts from all the branches. They are an experience, and anime onlys are definitely missing out a lot.

There are several aspects in which this anime stands out compared to other anime of the same era. First and foremost, it goes without saying that "A-1 Pictures" is an excellent studio. Second, during that time, the anime industry was transitioning to the adoption of 3D CGI, but this work remained committed to traditional hand-drawn animation. As a result, the level of detail and effort put into the animation is significantly different from other shows. Lastly, The Idolmaster is an adaptation of a game, produced by the largest toy company in Japan. Because of this, the show already had a certain level of anticipated sales, allowing for a greater amount of funding compared to other first-season anime. Additionally, since many songs had already been produced for the game, they could be lavishly incorporated into the anime, which also contributed to its exceptional quality. (Oh, there was an anime before this one? Never heard of it.)

The Macross franchise is one of the franchises credited with making the missile Trails thing stick and showing how cool it looked. Highly recommend checking out that one if you ever get a chance. Trust me it's got some amazing music in it if you're a fan of stuff like that.

Hard to understand how the order to kill Araragi happen? Firstly, Oshino Meme predict that there will come a time where Araragi will be force to rely on Shinobu power then eventually someone will order Tadatsuru to kill Araragi. 2nd, The one that order Tadatsuru to kill Araragi is Ougi. then, Gaen learn about this so she order Tadatsuri to ready to revive Araragi if at some point Araragi dead. 3rd, Gaen then order Yotsugi to kill Tadatsuru (without telling her it was an acting since no one knew beside Gaen & Meme that Tadatsuru is just a puppet) 4th, Gaen decide to follow the enemy plan (Ougi) by killing Araragi so he can be revive automatically his Link with Shinobu cut off. As a result, Kiss Shot Acerola Heart Under Blade return. ps: Hachikuji return too is the only thing that Gaen didn't expect.

The fact that THE iDOLM@STER went from an Arcade game to a franchise for nearly 20 years is just crazy.
