I just started learning danish im so excited
Hi there 👋 Love your videos and your vibe ✨ I’ve been bingeing them lately because I might have the chance to move to Denmark next year, so I am trying to prepare and make decisions. And knowing how essential the language is, I want to start learning as early as possible. The tone of this video surprised me though, compared to your other ones! I totally get the importance of learning the language, but it’s not enough to just try hard. As non-native speakers, our Danish will *never* be as good as native speakers’ (aside from a small group). So even working our asses off will never be enough. I understand in jobs like nursing, lives are on the line and it’s a different standard. But I do think for other jobs, there should still be some leeway for people who don’t have perfect Danish. Even for the most motivated language learners, it will take years and years to get to a very fluent level. In the meantime, it should still be possible to have a job that fits with your experience and pays you fairly, so you can live a satisfying life and be part of society. If anything, being so so strict will just push people to the edges of society, which is the opposite of what we want if we say “learn the language to be integrated!” These are just some thoughts cause you asked 😆 Obviously I don’t live there yet so I don’t have as much of a say, but I do live in a nearby country already as a non-native speaker, and there’s a lot of the same conversation here! Thanks for the videos 😊
2:08 Jeg ved det faktisk ikke - In Danish the word know requires an object.
As a Dane I actually finds it "insulting", when a restaurants forces me to - eventually decide to pay an - extra tip on top of the price paid (Danes are the most users of Cards in the world! And the Payment Machine offered, has an extra Restaurant, intended Button for this!). Food in a Restaurant in Denmark is normally not cheap, actually it is very expensive, and Tips are - Officially included in the price, so why should I pay extra, for - just being served what I have bought? Finn. Denmark
Haha, same 😅 But I think it mostly happens in the centers of big cities where there are a lot of tourists, especially those from countries with a strong tipping culture. For those tourists, leaving a tip feels natural, and for the restaurants and their staff, it’s a nice way to earn some extra cash. Why not, right? (but I'm not a big fan of it anyway, haha)
This video is perfect for me cause i am visiting denmark next week! Thank you for the recommendations ❤ you are so beautiful, please keep posting, hugs from Italy ❤❤❤
enjoy your time in Denmark 🇩🇰 💙😊
What is it?
where? 👀
Cute video and good tips <3 :) also love that you mention other parts of denmark than copenhagen :D
I live in denmark it is so pretty here😊
Love your videos, You're a doll! Lots of love from Greece
haha, thank u so much 🌟☺️
I prefer to read Young Adult and detective novels in new languages. The themes are more relatable and the patterns are more predictable. And my state of confusion and partial understanding is appropriate and comfortable in the mystery genre.
a very nice strategy 🔥🦖 good job 🌟
Thanks for the video! 😄 Just started learning Danish with a tutor.
I want to know more about it! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏳️🌈
Haven't moved, yet already started 😂
good job 👏 ☺️🌟
@@dannydelvis do you have any advice? 😁
@@Kkotto353 sure! I have some videos about learning danish on my channel, you are welcome to check them out 💙
@@dannydelvis tak! :)
Hi, is it possible to take studieprøven without PD1, PD2 and PD3. I speak and write Danish fluently but have been living abroad for the past 4 years so that’s why 😂?
I guess so; you just need to pay for the test and choose a date. The next Studieprøven will be in November-December, so it's not obligatory to attend classes or anything like that.
1000tak 😊
Beautifull Video❤
So, when you moved to Copenhagen you definitely had to pay that 5 month advance payment for the apartment? Is salary of a hospital worker/assistant enough to pay rent in Cph?
well, as you may see, it is enough 😅
Your so good at talking danish keep up the good work ❤️❤️❤️
1000tak, det gør jeg ☺️🌟
The video is long. Open the download 🥺
Rigtig godt klaret. Flot 😊
1000tak skal du have ☺️☺️
Hey Danny is there is any IELTS presentation center in Denmark. Keep shining
hey, sure! there are couple of test centers in Copenhagen, so you can sign up for an IELTS course or an exam there
You're really inspiring, Danny! I'm Brazilian of Polish and Ukrainian descent, now I'm trying to learm Danish, the pronounciation is quite challenging, but thanks to your channel and your experiences, I feel even more motivated! Thank you so much for sharing these precious tips!!!🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much for your kind words! It's amazing to hear that you're embracing the challenge of learning Danish-it's definitely not an easy language, but your determination is inspiring too! I'm glad my channel and experiences can help motivate you on this journey. Keep going 👻 You’ve got this! 🙏😊
do you also speak Polish and Ukrainian
@@chasekemmerling1676 Yes, I speak Polish (I actually studied IT at university), I've been learning Ukrainian for two years, and the knowledge of Polish helps me a lot, since both languages are similar. I love slavic languages. I've also studied some Bulgarian.
awesome video the whole thing was really fun to watch :)
thank uuuu ☺️☺️☺️🌟

I am from denmark and your danish is good😊😊
😂 It’s too adorable.
you should learn german since Denmark boarders Germany that would be pretty cool.
Congrats and good luck on your new journey with your master! I'm sure it will go super great <3 and thank you so much for sharing! There are so few videos about danish and the official tests
Thank you so much ☺️ I'm pretty sure, it's gonna be a cool time 🕰️ hehe I feel you! I also wanted to find somebody on TH-cam who would share their experience of living here, learning the language and trying to assimilate, but I couldn't manage to find any channels about it, so I decided to create one 😁
An extremely huge inspiration for me ❤️ Удачи в образовании 🙏🏻
Det skal nok gå ☺️🌟
@@dannydelvisinspiration 🎉 congratulations 🎉🎉 can get delivery jobs in denmark before module A2???
@@Mrskhan_YT I guess so, sometimes English is enough, I believe; but it really depends on the company’s requirements You better check it out on the website of delivery companies. In Copenhagen there are plenty of jobs in service, where one can work in English
@@dannydelvis ok thanks 👍
@@dannydelvis please just make a video on odd jobs, like delivery jobs and cleaning one and kitchen assistant or daycare , kindergarten teacher assistant like that... Also mentioned links of companies please for delivery and cleaning jobs. Hav en god dag 🌟 will wait for your video 👍
Are you going to learn more languages later? I love languages and I'm really impressed of how much language u can speak! :) good luck
Thank u 🥹 I do appreciate your support 😊 I'm not planning on it, but maybe I'll try to learn some Norwegian at some point since it's similar to Danish. For now, though, I'm focusing more on learning Danish because it's essential for my assimilation here 🤭
@@dannydelvis oh okay i understand, well, good luck! And have a nice day! :))
Held og lykke med din uddannelse.
1000tak skal du have 😊
tillykke med det rigtigt flot sådan!! :)
takker ☺️🌟
vildt flot godt klaret :)
1000tak ☺️☺️
Hey, are you studying SSA to work in a hospital? Would be great to see a video about your educational goals and potential path to PR.
Hey there, no, I'm not 😅 but I'm about to take my master's in Service Systems Design, so I hope I will make some videos about education and student jobs in general 👻🌟 maybe also at some point we will talk about permanent residence, if I get one 😁
Hi, I love your videos! I've recently finished the Danish course on Duolingo and I'm moving to Denmark in two weekds (!!!!!). Do you think it's best to start language school on Modul 1 or would Duo's level help me skip ahead? Tak!
Awww, thank u ☺️ I do appreciate your words 😊 well, to be honest it’s usually the teacher, who decides where you will start your language journey because the first thing you will have is an interview, where they will test your lvl of danish. Back in my days, I got an opportunity to start with module 2, but I decided to go and start from scratch, so I would be not curious whether I had missed some grammar rules or pronunciation tips. So if you have time and wish, I would recommend you to start with module 1 😉 welcome to Denmark 🇩🇰 😊
@@dannydelvis du2 eller du3?
DU3 😊 and I have finished all 6 modules, so I have passed PD3 and Studieprøven
@@dannydelvis Tak! I was also scared of it being too basic and feeling unmotivated, but I'll definitely keep that in mind.
Are jobs easily available in other cities if we come to other city of denmark rather than copenhagen?
depends on the city, because there are still English speaking jobs in Aarhus or Aalborg or Odense, but I would say, that job opportunities are really limited, comparing to Cph. as a rule, no, there are just few jobs in Jutland or Odense and the vast majority of them are in Copenhagen + the chances to get a job with no danish outside of Copenhagen are not that high in general. you can check it yourself on Jobnet or Jobindex, so you will see how many jobs are available on the market and how many of them are in Copenhagen. Good luck 🍀 😉
@@dannydelvis thankyou for your guideline 😇🙏🏻
Also as an importent note, there is a big difference between a red trade union and a yellow trade union. The red are often seen af the real trade unions who negotiate the saleries, benefits and working conditions, as well as providing legal support. Where as the yellow one mostly give advice. The yellow unions are cheaper but not seen as real unions, since the fundamental difference between the red and yellow is that the yellow unions don't see a power imbalance between the employer and the employee, which the red unions do.
