ur using the wrong radar screen, its better to switch to the rectangular radar screen so you can actually see aircraft closer up. also youre getting too close to the AO, those things have way way more launch range than that, its best to be 20km away when finding a target and being 10 km away when u launch.

With the ground radar you can also launch R77 at the enemies but logically they have the proximity fuse so it only works with light vehicles only sometimes

Its such an oppressive plane, and the Kh-38MT is the perfect missile for CAS. A funny thaing is that it nakes for the perfect anti helicopter missile as well

I love this thing, I love playing it, but holy shit is it disgusting. Su-25SM3 was more than sufficient to never ever ever be touched by the enemy in any form or capacity, simply because it could fire from just above its own airfield, providing simultaneous protection against enemy jets (AA fire) and enemy SPAA (sheer distance). This thing flies faster and carries 2 more missiles, which means it delivers them even faster, which is ridiculous, and it also gets its own AA missiles, so it's not totally defenseless against the inevitable F-16s and F-15s. The second match showcased this perfectly - two SU-34s basically destroyed the enemy team's entire second spawn, including their CAS/CAP, without needing to land to rearm. I moved over to playing USA top tier a few days ago to experience the other side of this. It's just about the most frustrating experience you can come across.

7:33 Another way you can tell if you have a lock is to see the "TRACK" text next to AGM on the side panel. TRACK = tracking a target, such as a tank. POINT = no tank locked, locked on a ground feature.

the Groms in real life are just variants of the satellite guided version of KH-38. but with a wing kit on it. so you can look at it as an extended range KH-38. (real life the KH-38 has a stated range of 70KM whilst the Grom-1 has a stated range of 120KM) the grom-2 has the KH-38 rocket booster removed, and replaced with a second warhead. so the grom 2 is the increased blast glide bomb version of the KH-38. it pays for that extra warhead weight with range, which is stated to be 50KM, 20 less then the default rocket powered KH-38.

The reason to use Groms is the fact that they have a huge payload and can fly a stupidly long range. I haven't seen anyone test the max range but I expect it to be much higher than the 12km currently available on the Kh38T.

Oh, this was a year ago. It is for sure mid now. I love some soviet tanks and vehicles however it is mostly lower tier stuff 5.0 and lower. got 20 kills with the Yag-10. Got 17 with the t-35 today which makes me feel like I paid to win, and I don't care. lol

the Khalid actually also has second gen thermals and a commander thermal. while the mbt 2000 has girst gen and no thermal commander sight
