I just finished rwby when i search in the internet for volume 10 they said that rt shut down so im glad that i saw this that rwby will be continuing guess ill just wait for a year

Fantastic video, I loved your analysis of the score & how it tied into the various story arcs of V4. As well as how this scene ties into Ruby's overall arc and how the burden she carries was set up in Volume 1. I also totally get where you're coming from with almost choosing Volume 7's final scene, that one might just be my personal favorite final episode of any volume! Thanks for making this video, Was a very enjoyable and insightful watch.

My prediction for RWBY volume 10 is Blake And Yang will breakup off camera because there is no fuck off those two anymore so yeah I think they will break up and the riders will give Yang a boyfriend and will make Blake also have a boyfriend and I think the new home of RWBY will be glitch production. It will be most likely glitch production will be the new home and I think there will be two crossover episodes in the volume 1 RWBY x Ben 10: aliens and Huntress unite and call me crazy rwby x mystreet because I think volume 10 will be released late 2025 and with mystreet coming back. Also in late 2025 you will be a chance of both series to have a crossover with Ben 10 whatsoever. I think they will make it a movie while rwby x my street a 3 part episodes I think it will most likely be released in late 2025

i was just listening to the volume 1 opening on Apple Music (they are now credited as "Williams Archive") and noticed that the artwork changed, got curious about rwby again and omg im so happy about these news, i really hope a change in studio gets the show to newer audiences, or even if we don't get something as big, knowing that the series are no longer in the void leaves me at peace, its a really good IP

I hate to say it, but I think that RT was the thing really holding RWBY back. Noting how badly this volume was cut to ribbons really shows that, especially with how Eddy confirms it wasn't the writers, but management's fault. I'm hoping that VIZ lets the show breathe the way it was meant to after all this time.

Im really hoping they at least keep it the same kind of style. I've grown pretty attached to the current style of the show and it always makes me smile when you see how far it had come from volume 1 to 9. So excited this show will continue. It's a favorite and honestly a comfort show for me

So Volume 10???

Looks like I need to bolster my portfolio because I just graduated and I SO want in on this project. Is anyone aware of which positions they'll be hiring for in the art side of things or is it too early to tell?

I am not optimistic. VIZ is a licensing company. CRWBY no longer has a studio with which to animate. This means that the stakes for making RWBY is significantly higher then under WBD. Not only does VIZ have to foot the bill for employee pay but now they have to shell out for a studio to actually be used. The smart thing VIZ should be doing is just license out RWBY to established studios but given that Arryn nearly killed Ice Queendom with her public spat with the lead writer on the project and likely ruined the relationship with SHAFT. SHAFT is normally a godtier studio so the rather subpar animation shots makes one wonder how much CRWBY interfered with the production process. Because of this, I fully believe that Kerry will interfere in any attempt to license out RWBY and likely part of the deal with VIZ will likely try to include bringing CRWBY to finish the abomination that caused RWBY to fail and kill RT. If VIZ doesn't exert control to correct during or post Vol 10 if it ever happens, I expect CRWBY to start 'shopping around' again for another angel investor for every volume until they ether finish or burn all goodwill.

I wish I had found the time to respond before now. I hope you still get this, Robin, as this online essay touched some nerves with me. I am of the thinking that not one of us in the fandom or hatedom own RWBY, despite what some of us might think, and we need to accept that CRWBY will deliver to us all the messages and morals that they deem appropriate in their narrative. RWBY is the pinnacle of contemporary popular culture, in my humble opinion, and moments like the final scene in Volume 4 reinforces Ruby's arc which unravels in Volume 8 and concludes with Ruby's Volume 9 rebirth. Volume 4 was my favorite year of RWBY predominantly because of a greater focus on Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie. They are the reason I love RWBY and it might be ironic they supersede our four girls given the namesake of the show. Renora forever :) That final score is one of the finest pieces of music ever composed and I am likely the greatest fan of the likes of the sadly missed god-like pianist Warren Zevon and Billy Joel. I even purchased the personal journal of Zevon in a public auction. But I digress. Your thoughts on this score made me smile, Robin. Thank you for your thoughtful insights. Even though I accept and love everything CRWBY delivers to us just for the sheer graciousness of being allowed to be a part of the story at all, I have my own minor criticisms of any arc of RWBY. While the final battle with the Nucklevee and Nora's dive from the bell tower was one of the finest moments in RWBY, there were some minor failures in storytelling I have attempted to fill blanks for in my own fan fiction. CRWBY never once mentions Nora's father. CRWBY delved into Lie Ren's past, but failed to share it's story's predecessor namely Nora's origin. They don't even reveal Nora was allegedly abandoned by her own mother to flee from the Grimm until much later in the series. (I, for one, refuse to believe this happened at all) This was a glaring mistake which I hope will be rectified. Monty Oum shared a beautiful masterpiece with us all that his compatriots have cultivated into a series that deserved reincarnation after the death of Rooster Teeth. Monty once wrote "I believe that the human spirit is indomitable. If you endeavor to achieve, it will happen given enough resolve. It may not be immediate, and often your greater dreams [are] something you will not achieve within your own lifetime. The effort you put forth to anything transcends yourself, for there is no futility even in death." I think it is safe to say that Monty gave birth to something that some very talented compatriots took forth into the remaining five volumes of this show. Yet this is a world where children are taught to murder. Many of us lose that contextual reality when we inspect RWBY's flaws. Remnant is not Earth circa 2024. Children kill monsters and those that worship evil's might.

I'd prefrer and like to think it would be cheaper to keep the same art direction as 3D and carry it over to the new studio with the same engine and new animators but also since Volume 9 ends with Team RWBY going into a literally Portal back to Remnant it wouldn't be that far of a stretch to see the rest of the series as a 2D anime inspired by Ice Queendoms art style. And for the manga side we could get side stories for lore and world building beyond the show Either way it's a blessing that it's a continuation

I'm so glad RWBY was saved. I would've been heartbroken if such a good show ended while it is getting so close to the end. Cheers to the future of RWBY!

So exciting!

Viz is the perfect fit for RWBY. They done plenty of anime projects in the past including Naruto, Sailor Moon, Bleach, Zom 100 and Hunter X Hunter. While I normally don’t LIKE when people just JUMP for excitement. We need to be critical in this important time when RWBY is going through these changes. I’m listing of my own predictions but I’m being hopeful, yet honest with my predictions. Don’t keep your expectations too *high* 1: Viz is exploring new things for RWBY so we might get a 2D animation of the new chapters (Like IQ.) I hope we get more manga discussing some of the cut scenes from RWBY. (I.E the final bits of volume 9 hopefully that extend the more emotional scenes.) They have connections to Shuisha and Jump and RWBY was on a Jump Magazine so getting IQ together with RWBY original would be fucking nuts as home release. I just hope it would be as a affordable as the previous RWBY releases on DVD and Blu-ray. 2:I hope Viz guts some of the former staff. Because Viz has so much time and effort they can put into RWBY (pay your damn animators. Please.) Viz has always had plenty of good teams putting effort and time into bringing the shows to the best potential. 3: decent Casting: Now for casting, since Viz is good spirits with most VAs (don’t get me started on crunchy’s shitty abuse of VAs.) Viz has some extremely good connections and well good spirits with some VAs. I.E Johnny Yong Bosch, Michelle Ruff, Erica Mendez ETC. The studio that Viz usually contracts has some decent casting skill and will likely rehire the entire former RWBY cast and that includes Tyrian’s VA hopefully. Grelle is extremely vocal about things, and Viz is usually pretty chill about things. (I mean look at the One Punch Man anime, Hunter X Hunter and Bleach.) Onto, the not good things. 1: Viz becoming a contractor instead of assisting and making the show better: Since Kerry is coming back as Show: co-creator. I’m hoping that Viz brings in some better writers to hopefully make the show at least somewhat connected to the high action spirits of Monty’s animation. If they continue with what Kerry and Eddy had in planed for each season/ redundancy. It’s going to the be the same without any form whatsoever and that includes the story and people being critical of it. We need to keep our expectations low because RWBY as of right now, has some bad blood between former fans and super fans of the show. 2: Bad.. casting/ scripting/ localization: contrasting to the 3 good point. Viz over the years has gotten.. sloppy with the localization and scripting part of things (don’t remind me of the OPM manga/ Old (that was funny tho) Salior Moon Dub. God, that was fucking awful. ) The whole wendee Lee shit with Another actor going absolutely batshit crazy over a fictional character and the fans being.. well, fans. There has been some controversy in regards to localizers as of recent, and if they do RWBY manga the Same. It’s probably not going to effect it. Tbh but it’s still a point I like to make. More recently, the former voice of Kenpachi stated Viz didn’t pay him enough money to come back to TYBW. So, if they can’t afford a contract between original casting. It’s going to be a *bad* time for fans. Viz has a shitty history of not doing a *great* job with casting and direction, but they do pretty good for other anime such as Sailor Moon and Hunter X Hunter. 3: Shilling. RWBY as of a right now is in some bad blood; but hopefully. However shilling is one of the biggest things I’m afraid of, businesses tend to do that when the fans need more or when they put specific things together. I mean, look at bumblebee; a fan created ship that the creators 100 percent did a business decision. Now, I don’t think it’s bad or anything. But shilling can ruin and destroy stories. I mean, look at Star Vs/ Steven Universe. Fucking awful. If Viz follows through with Shilling, we can definitely say for sure it’s not going to end well. That’s my points I like to make. We need to be concise and honest with ourselves and hopeful that this show brings the best.

Seeing Team RWBY being under the same place as some of my favourite anime and manga icons of my teenage years fuels me with intense joy Seeing Ruby alongside Ichigo Kurosaki, Naruto Uzumaki and Monkey D Luffy.. it makes me giddy

Honestly out of all of RT's former IP, RWBY was the one I was least worried about. Between brand recognition, multimarket deals, and a large and loyal fanbase, RWBY always seemed like the best bet to get picked up by a different company. Still, good to have confirmation

Huh… I honestly thought they were going to do a Reboot, I would have been interested to see how a Reboot of the RWBY series under Viz Media would look like, like how of it will stay the same and what all change and what additions will be made to the series, but that’s just me I guess
