Cleaning A/C Evaporator Coil (Air Conditioner) and Drip Tray / Condensation Drain
Demonstration showing how to clean an Evaporator Coil (this is the one indoors, not the box unit outside with the Condenser Coil). Remove foil tape, unscrew access panel, spray down coil, drip tray, and condensate drain with cleaner of choice. Rinse with water, then reassemble and reseal with new foil tape for ductwork. Remember to check for air leaks.

    I just had the arrestors added however, they were installed above washer on wall and washer still hammers? Do you think it would make a difference if they were installed on the washing machine? Also wanted to mention... had a pressure tank installed and water pressure regulator added (hope I got names right?... I think you'll know what I mean) , before arrestors (above the washer,) because water pressure was reading too high and thought this would stop water hammer in washer.

    • @FASTmaster789
      @FASTmaster789 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for your comment, sorry I just saw it now. If they're just a hose-length away, I wouldn't expect it to make a huge difference. One thing that I think is possible in this case, is that perhaps you're hearing the valves rapidly closing? By contrast, the water hammer is the one that is louder/deeper and sounds almost like it shakes much of your piping when it happens. It's also possible that the arrestors are too small for your given water pressure, but I think this is unlikely. I suppose you could always add another pair of them on the washer itself, but I wouldn't think this is necessary.

      Hello, in this video, this is not something I did since I only needed to clean the main wheels. To remove those sensors that block the wheel pins, you would first need to remove the inner panel that you can see around 10:48 of the video. This is the one that is a darker, gloss black color, and has deep holes for some of the screws that hold it. Once it is removed, I believe you should be able to access the connectors for the sensors.

    What Honda Fit u got mines doesn’t have the button I have a 2013

    • @FASTmaster789
      @FASTmaster789 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      2020 (3rd generation Fit). If I'm not mistaken, the 2013 (2nd generation Fit) does not have this button since it has a totally different TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). For the 2013, there are small pressure sensors inside each tire, behind the valve. These sensors transmit the tire pressure to the car, which then turns the light on when the pressure is low, or if the sensor is not working or is out of range (such as if a tire without a sensor is mounted). So with this system, there is nothing to reset when adding air. On the other hand, the 2020 Fit (at least the Sport and lower trims), don't have these sensors for TPMS at all. Instead, the car looks for tiny differences in wheel speed, which results from when the wheel loses air and has an ever so slightly smaller radius. The reset button is basically used to tell the car that the air pressure has been adjusted and manually checked to be ok, so the car can then looks for wheel speed differences from this new normal.

It did not work on my Bosch washer, for two reasons: 1) the tool's prong is too thick to fit in the loop on the end of the spring. I have 8+ year old LG Washer WM8000H - similar to one shown. Can't get lid off. Tried two people "sliding" the top backwards, using rubber gloves for traction. Nope. I just searched for the manual for your washer on Google and it appears that you have the same attachment method. Sounds like after 8 years it's just stuck. I think you'll have to be a bit forceful to get it off, rapid push/hit in the rear direction with your hands, closer to the edges. Also, the 4 pins have either rubber or plastic around them, so maybe heating the areas by them with a blowdrier or gently with a heat gun might help? The pins are on the sides (2 per side), straight above where the long vertical stadium-shape is, where the side wall meets the lid.

      @@FASTmaster789 Thanks for the reply. I finally got it off. I did it by removing both screws from each plastic tab, then partially reinserting the screw that goes into the top/lid. I then used a small wrecking bar (I image a claw hammer would work, too) and, levering on the lower body of the washer, gently pulled on the screw - like pulling out a nail from wood - until the lid moved a little. Once it got unstuck on each side, it slide off easily.

      Sorry to hear that. I'd try taking off the top of the washing machine (should just be two screws in the back). Then hopefully you can get to it from a better angle. Thank you for your video. How do you go about cleaning the main brushes themselves? The base of the black brushes get gunked up after some time. I've found this to be really the only pain in the butt part to clean.

      Thanks, glad you liked it! I actually just made a video on cleaning the main brush: th-cam.com/video/qnVQOcPubaw/w-d-xo.html

      Great idea, thanks! This is the standard replacement that I used: roborock Silicone Side Brushes (2... www.amazon.com/dp/B07SQ65FQX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I'll add that to the video description as well.

      @@FASTmaster789 I think they updated the brushes to have 3 arms and brush tips at the end, because the 5 arm silicone ones were becoming tangled on long carpets.

    Thank you for this tutorial! It's been taking me a bit to learn this new interface (I'm coming from Solidworks) and this was straight to the point.

      Glad I could help! I feel your pain, I also had to go from years of SolidWorks to NX and it was quite the learning curve. Let me know if there are other specifics you'd like to see.

      @@FASTmaster789 The only other thing I'm curious about right now is if there are any better ways of rotating a sketch than having to rotate the entire plane that it's on. But yeah it's good to hear I'm not the only one haha.

    Great video! How often should this be done? Once a month?

      Thanks, glad you liked it! It depends on how often you vacuum and on your specific case (such as how many people are in your household, pets, etc.). I like to empty the dustbin after every whole-home vacuuming, which I do every other day. I wash the filter every 3 weeks, sometimes every 2. The brushes I clean as needed when they look like they need it.
