  • Demonstration showing how to replace a side brush for a Roborock robotic vacuum. Turn the vacuum upside down. Then, use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw at the center of the side brush. Take the new side brush and fasten it to the vacuum. Then, reset the brush notification on the Roborock app. The Roborock used in this video is a Roborock S4 Max.

@@FASTmaster789 I think they updated the brushes to have 3 arms and brush tips at the end, because the 5 arm silicone ones were becoming tangled on long carpets.

What is the role of the tiny brush on the side of the replacement-brush? And is it supposed to be inside or outside the cavity ?

I think the tiny brush might be some kind of anti-tangle feature, perhaps to prevent hair from collecting on the side-brush? Sorry, I'm not sure what your question is referring to as far as inside or outside the cavity?

@@FASTmaster789You're probably right. I was just wondering wether the tiny brush should be visible from below, after the procedure. From what you say, I reckon it should.

@@leifkristiantungodden1423 I just checked mine and yes, it is visible too. I think it is likely an anti-hair-tangle feature. The brush appears to take up the gap that would otherwise be there, so this way hair can't wrap around the area. My guess anyway!

What brand of screwdriver did you use?

My #1 Phillips is a Crescent brand. I think it's about 12 years old now.
