It's good that Sega made Amy mellow out in recent games. It makes her a great role model for little kids. In a kiddy franchise like Sonic The Hedgehog, you need to set a good example for the audience, and having Amy pester Sonic to marry her and chase him around isn't a good example for kids.

I find SA2 to be one of the weaker 3D Sonic games, imo.

8:01 Of course, I'm not against cards, I'm against their main weapon being only 3 moves long, none of them being a truly offensive option (one is a Parry, the other is the Boost and the last one is a Cyloop). Other than that, she has to be the most enjoyable character to control.

As someone who grew up with the classic sonic 1, 2 and 3 I think the 2d side scroller focused on speed is the best direction for it to go but with the story telling of black knight

This is for you character analization of Sonic video, I Love your discription of Sonic the Hedgehog, Neck! It sounds like me when I was and still am in that zone. And thank you for saying nice things about the Black knight game too. I Personally think the years when people said Sonic games were meh, I like them because I feel that Sonic is done with comparing to Mario, even if he's not the best game ever, he at lease can help younger kids get into the adventures and speed before getting into the more intense journeys. (You don't have to agree or not, When it comes to my Sonic opinions on you tube, people don't actually like me for my thoughts.) And yes, I perfer flat characters over relatable ones, cause I get better perspective of things when my eyes are off me. Flat characters are the best, they get me to try better at the things I do. And Sonic Adventure 2 was my 1st ever Sonic game too, And Sonic character in the games as a developed character is basically underlooked SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Much, Thank you for saying the things I wanted to say for years.

Awesome video! I've played the first island of Frontiers but I can't really play the whole game in long sittings because of motion sickness (even more of a problem in ChaosX's Project 06, so I can't indulge in Sonic games as much as I really want to). I love hearing other people's opinions on this game and their hopes for the future. This franchise is part of my childhood and I am really excited for the future. I do hope they polish certain things especially to make the game feel smoother because, man, is the camera pretty shaky when Sonic runs over rough terrain. It's fun in small playtimes though.

Don't mean to critique this video, I actually loved this well put together review, but where in the game did they used Batman Returns score? The game uses the 1989 score. Now in Lego Batman 2, they did use the Batman Returns score.

Blaze didn’t beat sonic in the fight neither did sonic beat Blaze in the fight. It was a draw between Blaze and sonic. Also Blaze deserves a playable character slot more than knuckles but not more than tails.

5:05 hoooold your horses buddy. Mephiles didn't lose, he 100% won. He merged with Iblis and destroyed the whole universe and time itself. He succeeded so greatly that the only way to defeat him was to literally rewrite him out of existence

Should pick up the DS version again and give it another shot, it honestly is really good. It has some better boss fights in my opinion, has good level design, some awesome new suits, and just generally is a pretty great game despite its rigidity. I think both it and the console versions are equally great in their own ways. But hey, maybe that’s just nostalgia talking.

4:50 this game may not have had characters talking but they said so much without needing to.

Considering that past games were more stronger quality wise, characterization, Final Boss, and the game still having bugs and issues comparing to earlier titles & other series, its safe to say its still only a step in the right direction because it made the franchise comfortable again. It deserve its success, but its not really outstanding in terms of presentation. More power to ya if u love the game tho, which i know you do lol (ps: sonic was already shot out of a gun/canon... sonic x?)

Pffft! Amy is actually the worst here and her IDW portrayal is some of the weakest there’s ever been. Ian Flynn seems desperate to convince us she’s “strong and independent” and not a damsel, despite him and his terminally online feminist followers being the only ones who erroneously see Amy as a damsel. The rest of us already know that Amy is actually very proactive and fights some of Eggman’s most dangerous mechs along with the others. There’s also this weird obsession they have with her tarot cards. To the point it’s getting annoying and removing her iconic hammer.
