Little cloud was always a little gay to me to be honest. I feel like every warrior cats character always gets a ship, and Littlecloud was a warrior before he was medicine cat so he very well could have taken a mate. Also, as someone who is ace myself, it’s nice to have some representation in the books. Even if it’s not true, it’s Still gonna be my headcannon :)

There are a lot of cats that I thought were gay. Darkstripe for example, I know he had a big fat crush on Tigerstar the first, I also think that Shadowsight is gay and is in love with Rootspring, this is how my brain functions. I thought that Littlecloud had a crush on Cinderpelt, but if people believe he’s gay then I’m all for it.

I would say Ravenpaw and Barely but they are official so that’s off the chart for secret gays. (pride month post by one of the authors of them cuddling behind a pride flag)

I don't think the implication was that he is ace/aromantic (I doubt the author is aware of asexuality and aromantic people existing, honestly), I think she just meant gay. Also, he was a very safe choice, as a background character whose job prevents him from having a mate... It's like the Dumbledore case, yeah he's gay, but nobody talks about it and we will never speak of the one lover he had. I would be very interested in the hoax video! The warrior cats "facts" videos have a ton of them and some are... Honestly disturbing. Edit: grammar.

My favorite webcomic has got to be Tales of Perfectheart by 9rainbowtails on scratch, it follows a cat named Perfectpaw who is a giant stinker who has to be taught by this cat named Dave who teaches him how to be nice, also lesbian cats, dogs in clans, and some fourth wall breaks!

Frostpaw & Whistlepaw are ALMOST canoned to be. On the Warrior cats fanart site, Whistlepaw was mentioned to be one of “Frostpaw’s potential mates.” Honestly, I’m all here for it and absolutely praying.

I remember the specific wording of "isn't into she-cats", but I definitely heard it anywhere between 2017 and 2021, so it's not very helpful for this video beyond showing the rumor was still popular enough for me to hear it. Nice video, hope the mystery gets solved!

I'm not sure if the post is real or not (it definitely sounds like something she could say, but it also could just be made up) but I do think: 1. The Dumbledore being gay thing definitely had a resurgence at some point after 2007. I thought it happened way later than that because I thought I remembered when it first was revealed. Then again, I thought that was around 2015+, not 2014 or earlier, as I thought I had heard about it on Tumblr, which I didn't join until 2015. So that's probably not the most reliable background information. I just have a feeling that the statement could be from 2014, and being "after dumbledore was confirmed gay" was just people not realizing how early on dumbledore was confirmed gay. That is 100% just speculation, for clarification, it's just something I wanted to mention. 2. I think the wording of "not into shecats" is very important and makes it more plausible. He definitely wasn't confirmed gay, that's for sure, based on any credible testimony in my opinion. "Not really into shecats" can mean anything from aroace or gay to low libido / prioritizing his job over his clan, but if it's real (or for those who do believe it's real) I do obviously understand why people would feel uncomfortable around other people who ship littlecloud with girls. Idk, Silverhawk is a recognizable name to me and I didn't know I was even that into the warrior cats fandom, so I personally lean towards it being real, but if it can be proven that the warrior cats misconceptions blog has spread misinformation in the past (especially since that post itself isn't super clear / accurate) I could totally believe that being the source in all honesty. I definitely don't think it's just a joke by Silverhawk and co from pre-2014, the story sounds too legit for that, but this fandom rumor has obviously had tangible effects on people if others can remember the effect it had on fandom culture, so whether or not it really came from Vicky, I think it "existed" to some degree.

For the record: I do know the diffrence between aromantic and asexual. The reason I refer to him being ace in this video is because this is what people were claiming he was. For those of you who don't know or don't remember there was this time in internet history where people would often misuse the term asexual to mean aromantic, so that's what's probably going on here. I should've been a little clearer about it in the video itself

There’s also Blackstar, Russetfur, Hollyleaf, Splashtail, Shadowsight, Tall Shadow, Rock, Sun Shadow, Purdy, Puddleshine, Snowtuft, Juniperclaw, and Mothwing for implied LGBT+ characters - the Erins have stated at various points that none of them would be interested in relationships / taking a mate! Similar to Mousefur, I’d consider them to be kind of canonically aromantic/asexual! I recall another time that Leafpool, Graystripe, and Thunder were implied to be bisexual too?

I haven't engaged with anything related to warrior cats since I was tiny. Never read the books. But this was a great video! I appreciate how through you were and this cliffhanger makes me hope you discover the truth about the whole situation. As an aroace girl myself, I'd love another canon/technically confirmed one of us to add to my small collection, even if it is for media I only passively interact with :)

i've been in the fandom since 2013-2014! my memory really isn't the best but i feel like i remember this. i think i might've seen it in one of those ancient "warrior cats fact" videos. also i feel like i remember this topic coming up in an old moonkitti video in passing, possibly/probably in one of their streams? but i could be mixing it up with their littlecloud discord bot and some other joke about how a bunch of shadowclan apprentices spawned at the start of a vision of shadows. some other people mentioned that littlecloud "wasn't into she-cats" because he was too focused on his medicine cat duties which sounds a little bit familiar.

I definitely recall this being a piece of information that was passed around at the time, but I genuinely could not tell you if I remember seeing a specific screenshot, just that it was something that was occasionally brought up in factoid videos and on forums and such. I really hope that if there was an original statement on it it can ultimately be found!

Oh gosh I feel like you just jogged my memory! When I was younger I remember going to the wiki and reading through those old author q&as (they might’ve been called author chats?? Idk it’s the same place where some other canon-dubious stuff was said), and I think I remember something about how littlecloud wasn’t interested in she-cats because he was too invested in his med cat duties or smth along those lines, probably as a response to whether or not he had a crush on cinderpelt, and I definitely think that could’ve been misconstrued as them thinking that was Vickie confirming he was gay. I don’t remember exactly when those q&as happened, but I know that it was relatively early on in the fandom, so they definitely could’ve happened around 2014 or so. I think that could be a good starting place for finding the source!

I think what that one user was saying about Hollyleaf being "confirmed Asexual" is bc iirc in one of the Tpot books she says she's "not interested in having a mate or kits". So that could imply she's Asexual? Though obviously that's not canon. Also. I'm on the side of this being a rumor. Maybe Vicky said something like "Littlecloud isn't romantically interested in Cinderpelt" around 2006-2014 and someone misconstrued that into her saying he's gay? I wouldn't be surprised if Vicky did say he was gay though, the authors aren't necessarily shy about giving their opinions on certain character's sexualities (like Tallstar and Jake being described as a couple, but the publishing team just saw them as friends. I think one of them said this on a Facebook post.)

I have been in the fandom since 2010, I remember this rumor being around bcs Vicky did said Littlecloud was not interested in she cats, but bcs he was too focused on being a medicine cat: this statement was misunderstood(in fact she also said few times he had a crush on Cinderpelt, then say they were just friends) and I remember someone screenshotting a facebook post, that was revealed to be a fake edit, listing some various canon queer characters(like Ravenpaw and Mousefur), also tv tropes was full of wc's queer headcanons, from kestrelflight to blossomfall, stating the possibility of queer characters as Erin said they didn't wanted to talk ABOUT queer issues, not about just writing, but they were all theories. Unfortunately it was always debunked as no canon queer warriors exist as they have to sell all around the world and have to stay quiet. The authors outside did reveal Tallstar is gay but not for the editors, while also stating Ravenbarley are partners and it is written on the wiki. Tbh I don't think we can hope any representation from WC, but fandom exist for a reason

One place to check could be chicken smoothie, a pet collectible game with lots of foum posts made by users, there was a considerable warriors community on there in the late 2000s/early 2010s. The website only went online in about 2008 but given that there were lgbt users who were warriors fans on there even back then, it could be worth a look potentially to see if it’s mentioned on there. Old posts do still exist, some stuff I wrote in warrior cats forums on there during 2009/2010 are still present. Edit: there were even several special warrior cats collectibles pets out out by the people who ran the website that were made in 2009, obviously non official but there was definitely a big chunk of the warriors community on that site for sure

I did find a tweet from early August 2013 also stating that "one of the authors said that littlecloud might not have liked she-cats", and while it doesn't help track down the source of these claims it does help with the Gay Littlecloud Timeline and also adds to the claim that littlecloud specifically wasn't into she-cats

I wouldnt be shocked if that statement was made at some point, sounds like something the victoria would say, what doesnt seem likely is that littlecloud being gay would be that easily forgotten, seems almost impossible that just got forgotten by almost everyone, but i wasnt in the fandom back then so maybe it was just different

Maybe a weird q but have you tried to contact vicky about this? I know there is a chance she forgot, but if you tell her that theres a rumor she said something so specific going around that seemed to start in 2014ish that could jog her memory.
