I could name a few I like^^ Pixie and Brutus is a feelgood story about a young kitten and an old retired military dog, they slowly grow fond of eachother which leads to a loving friendship How to be a Dragon is a cute funny compilation of cute dragon stories, no more to it than that. Loving Reaper isn't technically an animal story.. but it's close enough it tells the stories of many lovable animals who have experienced their death to only be met with death himself, though.... What if he wasn't evil after all? amazing if you need a good cry. It WILL make you cry if you are easily attached to animals Burrow is a sad short story about a little lizard and a big wolf-like creature they are treated by the big flood driving them to extinction.. will they find themselves and get through it or will they succumb to the raging flood
I personally would highly suggest the webcomic "what lurks beneath" and its a very fun warrior cats inspired story that deals with things like cults and religion while also having a very good cast and a very pleasant artstyle that dosent make female and male cats look explicitly like they are male and female because in real life you cant actually easily tell what gender cats are, as cats may be sexualy dimorphic but not to the point where its easy to see.
i really like saltburn's clan, it's a warriors oc comic on tapas (not sure if its on webtoon?) and really interesting..its about saltburn (the main character, who is also sapphic!!) discovering the shunned away mysterious hidden clan she originally belonged to before being taken to another clan as a kit
Hey, thank you so much for featuring our comic and talking about it here! One thing I do wish to mention is that we appreciate you explaining our history and goals behind the comic and how we try and differ from the comic's origins as a MP AU vs. trying to rewrite an existing project. Which has never been our intent. But yep, we truly appreciate that and the kind comments you have for the story and the support you have given us. Thanks again. 8D
My favorite webcomic has got to be Tales of Perfectheart by 9rainbowtails on scratch, it follows a cat named Perfectpaw who is a giant stinker who has to be taught by this cat named Dave who teaches him how to be nice, also lesbian cats, dogs in clans, and some fourth wall breaks!
I have a really underrated one: Redbirch. A warriors webcomic following the story of WindClan dealing with the horrific shadow of their murderous former leader.
thank you for covering crushed olive branch! alek is my fiance and it makes me really happy to see their comic talked about an appreciated like this (and a little bit surreal to see my partner's work discussed in a video essay sorta way)
YES! I love a lot of the comics in this video (and now I have a few more to check out). I also love Saltburn's Clan! Some others in the comments have already talked about it so I won't repeat the description. The Misadventures of Misfit and Mieko (by parisEdoodle) is also a great comic. It's a story about anthro cats. Misfit is an unlucky cat, cursed to always have bad things happen to him, and Mieko is a lucky cat, a cat cursed to only have the best happen (it is a curse as some treat him as almost like a god when he just wants to be treated as a normal person/cat). Mieko and Misfit become friends and the comic goes along with their adventure to try and remove the curse, travelling through the seven kingdoms of Misako. It starts of quite lighthearted and begins to tackle more difficult emotions and events as the story goes on. It's also got a bit of mystery as we find out more about the curse and the history of the main characters and the embodiment of their curses. The characters and character development as they grow closer is amazing. The comic is on Webtoons. There's also a YT channel by the same name (The Misadventures of Misfit and Mieko).
TYSM for including my silly cat comics, it was so sweet to hear how much you liked them :D also so cool to hear you talk about comics I do and don't know!! I'll definitely be checking them out
Aaaaaa hi! Thank you so much for adding Crushed Olive Branch to this list! Makes me feel very special to be the lone human comic here lol. I really really appreciate all the nice words for my silly little fan webcomic, I've put a lot of work and thought into a lot of how the characters talk/how they feel about the world due to their upbringings and such due to my own personal feelings/what I've heard from others. It's an incredibly personal story for me so I'm glad that it was able to strike a cord with you! (and gimme like a couple more months I'll have a public animal comic going eventually lol) If you want some comic recommendations of my own: Un/Bound by Deercliff (Deals with topics of trauma and how it affect you also made by my fiance who's a crazy good writer) I'm WIth You by Chevrelune (Deals with lgbt-phobia like Crushed Olive Branch along with parental abuse but with anthro goat people) What Lurks Beneath by Arualmeow (Other people in the comments have mentioned it but it's crazy good if you want a really longform slowburn political drama with beach cult cats) Dark Carnival by thrumples (A horror inspired comic about a group of friends and a carnival with something shady going on underneath with anthro cats.)
I was wondering if you'd bring up patfw!!! I've been following that since the blog was first made, it's crazy that it's almost been a year! Anyway, thanks for making this! All of these I haven't heard of, (besides Razmerry's stuff, I Hope So, and The Immortal Hate) so I'll definitely be looking into these recommendations!
I Hope So is an amazing story. Sadly, it has been taken off of Webtoons. I'm currently reading Africa and Tofauti Sawa. I like Africa more. Not too crazy about Tofauti Sawa, though.
(At Africa, I Hope So, The Dog Star and Pinepaw And The Forgotten World, does the What Your Favourite One of These Says About You) No way you actually know these ones!? Can we be friends!? Cool! I was at the I Hope So part while writing this! You have such fantast taste and recommendations! Been a long time since I read Africa! It certainly had me hooked the first time I read it ❤ When I took a look at I Hope So after seeing the trailer of it, I really enjoyed it the first time that I stayed with it 😊 The Characters felt like characters and I could see why some prefer it over My Pride, I too once watched My Pride and only until the I Hope So creators' video examining it did I see how problematic My Pride handled things (Just my personal opinion of it now). I personally enjoy I Hope So because of the art, the story and the characters :) Storm and Hope's relationship feels natural, I LOVED Hope and Clever's bond, and I dunno why, but it felt realistic about how parents like Vicious and Jasper treat their kids both disabled and not, their family members and more. It certainly is one of the many things that shows me to do an excellent story by inspiration and believe me, I still wanna slap Vicious or even kick Jasper for how he treats his family (More like prisoners), you know a story's THAT GOOD! I appreciate how it also handles neurodivergency :) Trivia for those who may not know: Storm has ADHD, I love her to absolute BITS :) The Dog Star is one of my pleasures to read, even if I don't always give it as much attention as I do PATFW! Razmerry is unique with her characters because in one of her Dog Star Character Family Portraits (Been a while), it's not often you get to realistically see how family dynamics and how certain behaviours as a result of them affect the individual in their future. 😮 This is one of those few works in my opinion that explores (Subtle) how your upbringing and how you were raised truly matters because it can affect your behaviour and I realised I liked that in a story! (The Dog Star, PATFW, Louixie's Crowsong, I Hope So, and more are the examples for me about how family dynamics affect one growing up) I. Love. Pinepaw And The Forgotten World! Nearly everyday, and I make sure to at least wait until the weekends 😎, I check on it 😌👌 It is (Chef's kiss) beautiful! And very unique in how it presents itself, the journal like appearance combined with the comic is just incredible! Even if not all characters get a focus, I love how complex each of them are and thanks to it, alongside many many works, I've grown to appreciate complexity. I'm intrigued by the way it handles themes of generational cycles, how the pressures of having children having an impact on not just she-cats but it can also affect toms too, issues with being in the closet, and again, how even though a cycle is strong, in the end you have the choice to continue it or put an end to it once and for all. I feel my empathy grow big each time I see the characters ❤ My favourites have to be Cypressfoot and Nightberry (I have such a soft spot for these two!), Daffodilpaw (She's sweet as pie), Slugpelt (I freaking love this woman), Blacknose (Soft spot for her too - Come on have you seen how she was towards Dustfeather!? All my fellow PATFW fans understand what I mean!) And... Well, that's me but it is still awesome! I swear each time I look at the voice headcanons, I can imagine Pinepaw in Hogarth's voice jumping up and down excitedly "My own giant robot... I am now the luckiest kid in America!" I gave a listen to some of the songs that fit the characters. You dear Pigeocore have excellent taste! In fact some of it, aka Crushed Olive Branches, reminds me a bit of the film I've watched two times called Nimona (I never read the comic. Maybe if it is on tumblr I will give it a try and compare the differences, but still!) Have a lovely day or night
I STRONGLY recommend tales of perfect heart its on scratch but simply searching up "ch" in the searchbar will come up with chapter 1 of tales of perfect heart I read 1 chapter and binged it for the rest of the day
RAHGHHHH DOGSTAR MENTION TEARING RANDOM CIVILIANS APART WITH MY TEETH I've been a dogstar fan since it started thank you for directing more people to it 🫡
I really like Forgotten. It's about a housecat who meets a stray and leaves her home to solve a mystery going on in the society of stray cats
Omg thank you so much!! I have been trying to find this webcomic again for a long, long time!!
absolutely! forgotten is great!

other really good webcomics are saltburn’s clan, the exiled, and golden shrike! they are so so so good i highly recommend checking them out :>
Oh yes I just started reading Saltburns clan and I’m up to date on golden shrike! Both are amazing!
i really like saltburn's clan, it's a warriors oc comic on tapas (not sure if its on webtoon?) and really interesting..its about saltburn (the main character, who is also sapphic!!) discovering the shunned away mysterious hidden clan she originally belonged to before being taken to another clan as a kit
I want to make a webcomic and I am planning one on my own right now!!

Another really good one is No North!! I binge read like 120 pages of it in one sitting
Also sorry for getting detectiverJ's username wrong in the video!
