Great question! I'd say filtration effectiveness is pretty equal. There were tiny differences but this might have to do with the fact that our before-vs-after lab testing doesn't provide 100% accurate results.

You're welcome! The G3P600 uses 2 sediment filter layers in the first filter cartridge. But the problem with well water is that it can be really dirty (or have other issues) so that it would clog up an RO system in no time. That said, depending on your specific well water supply you might be fine.

We're about to start testing the Waterdrop TSU together with a bunch of other under sink water filters. But it will be at least a couple of weeks until we will have a finished video.

The iSpring RCC7/RCC7AK is on our list, but we will test other filter types first before we get back to under sink ROs.

Great question! If you check the following links, you'll find that both G3P600 and G3P800 are certified against NSF standards 42, 53, and 58, and for the same contaminants. The only difference is that the G3P800 is also certified against NSF 58 for barium and radium 226/228 reduction. Hm, any chance that you also measured input water TDS before and after this change happened? In other words, maybe your feed water changed? It could also be the TDS sensor or something like that. If I were you I'd reach out to Bluevua about this.

Although it's not certified against NSF standards for fluoride reduction we do think it's effective, but we don't know for how long in terms of gallons filtered.

I totally understand your concern. This certainly isn't ideal. However, it also depends on how much aluminum (or any other chemical) is being leached. The level that was measured in our water (0.05 ppm for AquaTru Classic, 0.04 ppm for AquaTru Carafe) is considered totally safe even when using the absolute strictest health guideline (0.6 ppm). In other words, depending on feed water quality, this little aluminum leaching is not a bad as having unfiltered water - at least in our case. We had 6 substances above their strictest health guidelines before filtration, and another 2 that were relatively close. After filtration, there was no substance even remotely close to their strictest health guideline.

Any aluminum is cumulative and poisonous.

@beethovensg Do you have any sources for this that you can link? I'd love to take a look because we got to a different conclusion in our research process.

@boswater6065 i don't see my comment for reference, but it may have been an 'extreme' claim about the prospect of ingesting aluminum. If you need to figure out how much it is (if not bad for YOU), that's good for ME, then you have probably had enough already, and can not understand the lack of purpose that this metal serves and its ability to catalize a structural change in the magnetism of the molecular energy. You drink the aluminum. The FDA will be YOUR GUIDE to research your question.

You are right, 2 or 3 years warranty would be better than 1, although a 1-year warranty is pretty common even at that price point. I don't know what the issue is with CF filter replacements in the UK/EU.

@@boswater6065 There's a lot of people complaining in the EU/UK that the system becomes useless due to no availability of filters when it's time to replace. Some say they wait for months for delivery and/or have to pay $75 for shipment from the US. Also, I was shocked to read reviews stating that Waterdrop 15UA filtering system has written on it's box it CAN CAUSE CANCER or BIRTH DEFECTS?!! Some people on Amazon returned them immediately after spotting this small print on the box... unbelievable.

I'm assuming than note is a Prop 65 warning which doesn't necessarily mean anything (see www.aquatell.ca/blogs/aquatell/understanding-california-proposition-65). Also the Waterdrop G3P600 is certified against NSF standard 58 meaning it was also tested for material safety. Of course, you can never be 100% certain but this is about as good as it gets.

@@boswater6065 hmm... if there's a small print on a box stating CAN CAUSE CANCER OR BIRTH DEFECTS that means a lot to me hence am not buying products that supposed to protect or improve my health and can do the opposite. We've had a similar one before i.e. Teflon from Due Pont that they claimed was absolutely safe and it took 20 years to prove it was causing same health issues.

I haven't done this myself but it shouldn't be too difficult. You just need a 1/4" T quick connector and additional 1/4" tubing which you can get in your local hardware store. But this might also vary based on your refrigerator. The quick connector goes in between the line connecting the Waterdrop system to the faucet.

I have to agree . It was so slow I fell asleep. I just saw that all the water doesn’t go into the tank either. It only filters so much into the tank then the rest sits in the reservoir

Great question! They focus on testing reduction for bacteria and parasites (cyst), so I guess if you have any of these in your water.

We used ETR Labs, and Derek (Modern Castle) used Tap Score.
