Ive owned four recent Rolexes over the past few years and sold them because i wasnt thrilled with them aesthetically. I opted for a Blancpain, an IWC and a Cartier instead which i personally find more appealing. So if i rocked a fake Rolex. No one would think it was a fake and i would be the only one who knew. In short, i cant justify the money for a real one so wouldnt have a problem with it. It doesnt hurt Rolex. They basically dont give a shit about us or anyone anyway.

I would not wear any Rolex, fake or real. Most people that buy them know diddly squat about watches. They buy them because of prestige.

Hi, did you apply the saddle soap on the whole jacket then wait for it to dry? Or did you do it in small sections then wipe it? Also how long did wait for the saddle soap to dry then wipe? Fakes exist since luxury goods exist. I just couldn't justify paying any money for a fake. Yeah I probably will never be able to buy a Sub 14060m again but I don't have to lie to myself and others by buying a copy. There are tons of other watches, other brands you know what you get. Buying a fake is just stupid. You have no idea where it comes from, what people are behind it and what criminal organisation you pay for a bit of fake bling.

Getting better and better. For sure. I purchased a replica Submariner 124060 and yes it looks like the real-deal but let me tell you there are many things wrong with it. It's not a case of having to open the case back to look at the movement in order to be sure it's a fake. It's almost like the mistakes were done on purpose they are so bad. But it did only cost $148 USD. Having said that, it's still fun to wear. I'd buy one at retail make no mistake. You are right. I tried to purchase at an Authorized Dealer, went back over 10 different days and nothing. So I bought a "superclone".... It is so, so similar that nobody has doubted it is a genuine Rolex, so.... Do I want to spend another $15,000 or more to wear one that looks the same? I can purchase 3 superclones and they will last like new for a long time. Why is Rolex doing this?

I wouldn't buy a replica for several reasons. Mostly because I don't need people to think I'm wealthy enough to buy one, Secondly because you're just as likely to get mugged for your watch since muggers aren't going to ask if it's genuine. Thirdly because there are plenty of "homage" watches out there that don't have the Rolex name, but are very well finished that could easily scratch that "itch" if necessary without pretending it's a Rolex.

I wouldn’t wear a Rolex knockoff because I want a watch that stays within a few seconds of the time on my phone. A real Rolex can’t do that. The only Swiss watches that can do that have thermocompensated quartz movements from ETA, and ALMOST NOBODY BUYS THEM because people who wear Swiss watches mostly want mechanical ones and are satisfied if they gain or lose a couple seconds a day. Andy Warhol didn’t bother to wind his Cartier Tank. He’d just wear it. (Actually he rarely wore most of the watches in his collection.) We’re heading for that: the time displayed on a Rolex doesn’t matter…

After reading most of the comments, l find it rather amusing to see all the opinions on a such a simple thing as taking care of your leather boots . If your boots are really dirty, use saddle soap , let them dry . I use a peet dryer myself. Works great . Dries with convection heat . Then condition them with a quality leather conditioner. Not petroleum jelly or other petroleum based products. Take your pick, Bick4 , Blackrock, Lexol etc for dress boots . Obinoffs, mink oil, Skidmores neatsfoot oil for your workboots . Not that complicated kids.

You can’t find good replicas in the US unless you know a guy who knows a guy in NY, TX, or LA. and that’s hard to find.. if you travel out of country and buy one you risk having it taken away when you come back.. and if you try to buy on the internet it will be caught by customs.. they open a ton of watches from china to catch the counterfeits and then you lose your money.. some Chinese companies guarantee that they will send you another if it’s caught by customs but they don’t have to and it’s rare when they truly follow through.. they do slip through but I’ve been burned too much.. lost about a grand trying to buy 2 different good replicas only to have both taken by customs and the company never sent the second.. to which I of course blasted their name on every site I could. I did receive one once.. just an old school day date and the quality was a joke. The crown fell out.. I happen to be a horologist so I can fix what breaks but the movements are very cheap and will not hold up..
