I started this channel after uploading a video for the Dodge Charger's AC Solenoid and then one for my truck's transmission solenoid. They received many views and people asked me about other automotive questions. Although I'm not a mechanic, I love working on cars and try to upload videos to show how I do it. A million thanks to all the subscribers and people who do not subscribe but still watch the videos. Please email me with any questions related to the content and I will gladly reply as soon as I have time.

Hey we’re you experiencing any transmission issues?
@@kingchris447 Transmission was having delayed downshifts.
Great job !
Works in 220d 2013
It's not letting me do the mode
@@JayGarcia-l4e I had problems with it doing it once and I just tried again. I'm posting a video for you later today or tomorrow. If you have any questions email me. Not sure mu email gets posted in the profile
great effort and patience making sure we could see each step.
how many miles should replace brake
Does this work also with a 2018 Cla 250?? Anyone ??
Very good tutorial thank you
That looks suspiciously clean for being 19 years old. Lol
@@markbronson6724 LOL. Welcome to Arizona's super super dry climate with zero humidity. This year 2024 broke the record for triple digit temperatures on a row, 113 days.
Long extension and impact gun and wah lah

does anyone know wjere is the transmission temperature sensor locates? thats the only code im getting and they say its on the valve body but dont have a picture and also calles the dealer and they cant find it either. issue that im having when the truck is on third gear it just shift to second on its own then when i stop at a light it takes off on second gear not first gear until i shut it off and turn it back on it fixes the issue till again at some point itll doit again.
@tazzzerolimitmc994 proper diagnosis of this problem requires special tool. Based on what I found on the Transmission service manual it can be mounted on the valve body or be part of the Solenoid. Codes include: P0711-TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE SENSOR PERFORMANCE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . P0712-TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE SENSOR LOW . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . P0713-TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE SENSOR HIGH . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . P0714-TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE SENSOR INTERMITTENT Tool needed: TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE SENSOR Turn the ignition off to the lock position. Remove the Starter Relay. NOTE: Removal of the Starter Relay is to prevent a Transmission, NO RESPONSE, condition and disable the starter. Install the Transmission Simulator, Miller tool #8333. NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary. Sorry for not having the specific info you need. Best of luck
Any Idea why the red parts are so hard to push? I'm afraid I'll break it
It didn't break for me. Probably harder plastic. Best of luck
Any tips so I don't risk breaking it ?
I can remove the battery cables and hook back up and my truck runs fine for the next few days and then it will act up again...very strange.
@@bryanvance6629 check for transmission codes.
@@juancastro6934 the only code i got was P0700
The only code im getting is P0700....can you please tell me what i need to replace? Im just regular driving and it feels like it downshifted on me, the haul button at the end of the shifter doesn't work when this problem is in play. I can clear the code and i get regular driving back
Most likely you'll need to take it in for a better diagnostic check. P0700 is a very non-specific code and you could end up changing the wrong part.
@juancastro6934 before it throws that code everything is fine...when the code pops up, i no longer have 2nd gear it seems, it starts off in 3rd gear is what it feels like from a red light. When i pull over and clear the code, my transmission shifts perfectly fine with no problems. I have fluid, its not low.
@juancastro6934 the part you changed. Was the transmission stuck in a gear? My transmission seems fine but it is stuck in 3rd and thats part of the code P0700
@@bryanvance6629 mine wasn't shifting properly and it had a code specific for shift solenoid
@juancastro6934 i have a friend that will be hooking up his scanner shortly. He thinks its strange too of what my truck is doing. I can clear the code P0700 from the dash and the truck drives perfectly fine until the code pops back up on the dash. Very weird
I just did mine and a deepwell socket will fit with a 10" extension But this is a nightmare when you go to put the tank back in and reconnect the fuel line i have an '06 ram 1500
what size are the bolts
Unfortunately, I did not measure the bolts at the time

Thanks
Thank You!!!
Thank you! Very clear and helpful
Hey I just changed the shift solenoid on my 04 dodge. I watched your vid on it and it fixed the problem but I ran into another problem and I’m not sure if I did something wrong or if you might be able to tell me what you think it is any help tho would be really appreciated
@tylerclardy6835 what other problem did you have?
@@juancastro6934 so the truck was fine before the solenoid went out so I changed it and it fixed the problem of it not going into park so I could start it but after fixing it and getting the truck started when i shifted into drive or reverse the truck had no movement at all
@@tylerclardy6835 very strange symptoms. Since it happened after you did the solenoid replacement, it's likely related to that. If you loosen valve body bolts accidentally, then shifting would be affected.
@@juancastro6934 alright I’ll be sure to check that out thanks for the info
Isn't there 4, 2 on ea side?
I’m in the first mode with the odometer showing I press the pick up button and then the ok button but nothing shows up on my screen
Would you happen to know the part number on that clip that you replaced?
@austinrawlins9099 if you're referring to the fuel line retaining clips, they come in a pack with black and white clips at AutoZone. Dorman Fuel Line Clip 800-023. Hope this helps.
@@juancastro6934 Thank you so much!
You didn't mention that you have to hold the phone pick-up button and the OK button simultaneously for 5 seconds in order to enter that mode.
Thanks for the information. I didn't have to do that. In my case I only had to do press them within a second of each other. Hopefully people read your comment and try that as well. Best of luck to everyone watching and posting.
@@juancastro6934 hmm, I found out by watching another video after not having success by just pressing it. Maybe it varies by year. 🤷🏽♂️
@@bhen205 it might vary by year. Not really sure. Hopefully everyone else here with a different year model will share their experience
Great job not doing all the extra work for no reason ……
This is what I call "doing things with great care" :-)))
Have a 2006 4.7, po871 code. Reset computer it shifts fine for about 25 miles or so, then after shutting off truck for a few and restarting and driving off, lose the shift at 45 mph and OD at 60. Other than that shifts fine, no slipping. Would this solenoid cause this?
Is it always rear brake pads that go out first or front?
It varies by vehicle, and other factors. In my case, my Mercedes rear brake pads went out first because of lack of grease on the caliper piston bracket pins.
@@juancastro6934 Mine rear worn out and uneven wear first.
Props for making this video for us, shops wanted $750 to $950 for this job with a new pump.
I'm glad it helped.
Is the tank metal or plastic?
The tank is plastic
Thank you for the video. I am about to replace the solenoid on my 2005 ram 1500 . i have codes p0700 and P0755
Hopefully it helps you with the job. Don't remember anymore what codes I had, but I did mention them to someone's comments a while back. Best of luck
My piston won’t go back in
If weren't able to open the piston using the dashboard menu, you'll probably need to try the caliper piston cube tool to close the piston by rotating it clockwise. Best of luck.
i have a 2005 ram 1500 5.7 and it says P0700 tcm but my truck has none and it goes to limp mode can this be the solution
@zeowolfpup4802, there's a very good probability that replacing the transmission solenoid will solve your problem. I don't know how much those solenoids cost now but it should be cheaper than replacing the transmission
@@juancastro6934 u got it boss
Bro its people like u who trigger my ocd just remove the truck bed leave the tank in place just remove the bed its only 6 bolts holding it down 3 on each side and u gona have to remove the tail lights pick up the bed pull it back far enough so u can see the fuel pump on the tank just un do just the pump assembly the wires and hose to trust me bro its a huge time saver

That did absolutely nothing on this car
Please make sure to have the ignition on the first position (not the second with all instrument lights on) set the display to odometer portion. Hope this help. Best of luck

@@dwightlester6309 I’m sorry but I did. I used my Autel scan tool instead
which side passenger or driver side is needed to change out whenever the driver side throws out hot air and the passenger side throws out cold air ?
Unfortunately, I can't tell which blend door and the service manual I have does not clearly specify. If you hear a clicking from one of those actuators, then it would need to be replaced and that would hopefully fix your problem. Best of luck
That clip that you disconnected that connects to transmission - does it need to be flush or is there a little gap 1:05 video mark - I seen you pryed it with you flathead
That red clip is a security clip for the plug and when you put it back it will go all the way in and you'll feel a click.

Yes it did
Why did you change this part.what was going on with tour transmission
@gabrielsalazar6648 I don't remember the code anymore, but the description was for "shift solenoid" and the transmission was not shifting properly.
