Did you happen to record this in Northern California? It looks a bit like Sacramento County.
@@tallo7545 No but you’re somewhat close. Santa Barbara County, California
Where'd you get that roof liner?
@@gx2akosu_725 No roof liner. Just bare painted metal because XL trim. I put stickers up there if that’s what you’re referring to
How long does it usually take to start on freezing cold mornings? Does it take longer when it hasn't been used for several days?
Just hit 320K on my 1994 F150 Flareside. Original 4.9L and manual trans. One of the best motors ever!
Thank you.
Blue is better than the red that they put on them interiors, but I’m so glad I have gray
I really liked the blue interior except that it was difficult to find parts for. I have since sold the truck and now have a 94 F150 with the gray interior
@@harley_benoit I have a burgundy 95 f150 4x4 302. I’ve replaced about everything on her. I grew up In this generation of F150 so I was a truck that I knew I would have to own one day
hey ❤
Where can I get the ac mod for thiss truck?
Not sure but maybe LMC Truck
Which automatic is it, the C4 or C6?
C6
I found a sweet short throw shifter for my '89. Core Shifters makes em. Came with a nice chrome Hurst lever that's like 3 feet long. Shifts it quicker than the clutch can open hahah
Can you rev it up a little more
Unfortunately not. I sold the truck a couple months ago
@@harley_benoit dang that’s alright did ya get something else after you sold it?
@@Cherokee93 Yes, I got another OBS Ford. 1994 F-150 XLT 4x4 5.8L. Only 133k miles and in great shape
@@harley_benoit nice
The conncectors are called "spade terminals".
Truck channel, keep up the good work
Thanks man, will do
Sounds awesome. Im not familiar with the carb models, did this have a resonator behind the cats?
Thanks! No, no resonator. Just single cat and single muffler on stock exhaust
My father passed away a year ago. I'm rusty on driving a 5 speed. Its been 20 years. The original gear shift knob was missing. This helped me tremendously! Thank you! 😊
Where did you get the dash carpet? That looks really nice and I want to protect my ‘94 350
I bought it on eBay. I responded to an earlier comment with the link. Thanks
Thanks for posting, just got some weird issues with my tail lights. After reviewing the diagram I’m pretty sure it’s this multi function switch. I will put one on order and use your video for help. Cheers
You’re welcome! I’m glad it’s helpful. Good luck
The real ecoboost, they should have brought it back as a DOHC 4V
Did you find any performance advantage to having dual exhaust
Over stock, this set up is definitely way better. So yes but idk if it was due to the duals or just the cat delete
@@harley_benoitwell what type of performance would you say happened? And gas millage did you see any changes?
@@naarvmaan I mean I don’t really have numbers or anything but it just seemed to free it up. Better throttle response and easier to do highway speeds. Gas mileage might have been marginally better but I didn’t really notice anything
@@harley_benoit that’s what’s up man, I have two a 95 and a 89 both 4.9 gonna sell the 95 and keep the 89. I got it for 1.5k with 114k miles, it didn’t start cause it needed an ignition switch. Since I know this engines will last with the kind of millage I have I think it’s probably a good call to add true dual exhaust and maybe an upgraded intake manifold as well.
@@naarvmaan Nice. I had a ‘95 (the one in the video) and I still have a ‘75, both with the 4.9/300. My ‘95 started burning oil around 180k miles but still always ran good as long as I kept it topped off. My ‘75 has been rebuilt once but it still runs like a charm. No oil consumption or anything. They are great motors because of their simplicity (which also makes them horribly inefficient 😂). I think duals are definitely the move on the EFI ones because they are set up so well for it with the split manifold. Idk if intake would gain you anything unless you put a Holly Sniper on it or something like that but probably won’t hurt. Good luck!
Like my Late boss Jack Clifford used to say 6=8. R.I.P Jack you were a helluva guy to work for.
Perfect! It has been so long since I needed to do it. Thanks
I have a 1995 Ford F-150 with 300 in it w/ 157000 miles on it. It is indestructible. It is going to out live me!
Would be nice to know which radio you selected and features like blue tooth? Also the speaker wires guess it does not matter which lead you connect them to
i had the same question, I feel like it would matter which wire goes to which lead. it doesn’t help that the doors wires are not red or black. was wanting to do mine today
The radio I selected is linked in the description. The leads do matter for the speaker wires. There is a positive and a negative. Orange is positive, blue is negative.
@@TheZixt7.3 I just responded to the initial question. Good luck!
@@harley_benoitthey make a double din kit for you're truck
@@dustinkey8885 Yes, I know. It’s pretty cool but I didn’t want to cut up my factory dash
Just buying my first manual truck and hope that a 95 ford was a good first manual because I’m still learning and the reason why I watch this vid 24/7 now
I think it's a pretty good first manual. My first was a '95 Explorer. Good luck!
3 inç? 2.5 inç sizce hangisi daha iyi ses cikartiyor
sounds like a civic
do you know the exact part number for the flowmaster 40 series?
What’s the name of the tool you used to remove the stereo?
Radio Removal Tool. They vary by brand so it needs to be one specifically for Fords. It will say on the box
I’m afraid of driving manual. So I plan on buying a manual 1994 f150. Just so I can break that fear and make it a daily
On the harness adapter, did you use those red crimp connectors on all of them?
Yes, the ones with heat shrink on the ends.
Nice video we’re did you buy that dash cover
Thanks. I bought it on EBay. I responded to an earlier comment with the link
Nice Job kid.
How can you have true duals on an inline 6? Not really a thing
Yes it is really a thing. EFI 4.9L engines have split manifolds
I love my 1995 F150 XLT 4x4 with the 5-speed. Owned it since 1995, will never sell it.
That’s awesome that you still own it. Not many one owners left out there. I wish I could have bought one new.
Assuming this will be similar to a 97 F350?
Definitely similar. As far as I know, it should be the same.
@@harley_benoit I watched some more videos and came across one f350 and as far as I can tell it is but it was also a 10" screen installed with backup camera so maybe there's a couple things different
Excelente camioneta
Silly question I purchased my 1992 f150 4.9l and it has a d where the 5 should go.should I shift into that or leave it highest at 4. It has 1234d and then r for reverse.
No worries. It can be confusing. The D is inside of a white circle which is an O. It stands for Over Drive. It's just to let you know that when you shift into 5th you are using an overdrive gear, which you wouldn't want to do if you were towing, hauling a heavy load, climbing a steep incline, etc. Any situation where you need a lot of torque. Back in the day it was common for trucks to not have an overdrive gear. For example, my 1975 has a 3-speed with no overdrive, so 3rd is the 1 to 1. In my 1995 and your truck, 4th is the 1 to 1. So yes, you should use OD (5th) when it's appropriate to do so. It will allow you to cruise at highway speeds with lower RPMs. This will improve your MPG significantly and its better for your engine. I hope that helps!
Why does yours sound better than everyone else on yt lol 👌
Thanks lol. I really don't know why it sounds so good to be honest. I just took it into my local muffler shop and this is what the guy recommended.
Never knew these had split manifolds. Nice sound.
It's not possible to put duals on a straight 6 engine... There's only a single bank of cylinders and one exhaust manifold
@@bigtermtech5188 It is possible to put duals on these 300 I6s because they have split manifolds (two separate manifolds, covering 3 cylinders each) permitting two separate exhaust pipes.
Yeah the efi ones do I don’t think the carbed ones do though
@@Cherokee93 Correct. The carbed ones have a "log" that flows about as well as a dirt filled sock
Ok I am not doing this to my 96. Sounds horrible.
it really does sound bad, needs an x pipe and a couple glass packs
How is it a true dual if it only has one exhaust manifold
EFI 4.9L engines have factory split manifolds.
At idle kimda sounds like a v8 but as soon as you get on it all i hear is vintage Jaguar
Sounds 😎
