Nothing is that bad for you in moderation and an English Breakfast is very far from the worst thing you could eat. We do not eat it every day in the UK... it's a weekend (hangover mediation) thing.

UK food once upon the time was similar to French, but slowly denigrated for most as the population (and poverty) boomed during the Industrial Revolution. Another nadir came in WWII, where rationing was imposed -nose to tail off-cuts for the meat (pig snout anyone?), minimal seasoning, few spices and herbs, -this was enforced decades after the war had ended, which is where the reputation comes from. Fast forward till today and the food is fab -an impressive mix of global offerings in any town (Indian, Chinese, Italian, Thai, American, Turkish and Spanish are ubiquitous and considered passe now), plus the rebirth of traditional dishes with high quality ingredients, and most importantly the higher standards everyone now expects. Back in the day if you could fit it in a toaster you were a chef.

One more thing.. Only a cretin would go to a low end (American) hotel chain to judge local food. How about going to Paris and trying MacDonald's? .. then try Domino's in Italy. By then you should an expert in world cuisine.

If you like meat from animals force fed with chemicals and genetically modified vegetables then the US is the place to be. Start the day with a classic American breakfast of fruit loops.

Most cons are avoided by keeping the dog outside. All my dogs have only lived outside with shelter and a warn kennel. Never had a single issue with it and they were great pets. This modern age of keeping dogs inside is disgusting and makes no sense. Feed em, play with them, work them and look after them when they're sick and that's all u need. They're not human and they don't like being treated like that. They don't knw any better!
