You CAN tip in the UK just isn't mandatory or expected, I always give a 10% tip if the food and service were good. However in the UK our waiting staff are paid enough to (just about) live on. Unlike in the US where from my understanding if you don't tip your waiter/waitress they aren't eating that night.
Also we definitely don't have public toilets in the US. The only way you're gonna see a public toilet is if you're in certain public parks or truck stops, etc (just middle of nowhere locations), but definitely not on city sidewalks though I wish that were the case.
Ngl I feel like the outlet switch wouldn't just save energy but also save time too, like if you don't wanna use the outlet or whatever it's plugged into, just switch it off (although the no bathroom outlet is weird like do brits just always have vanities to do their hair? Like where am I gonna straighten my hair at?).

The sad part with the cigarettes is that those images don't really stop us at all lol. I'm a smoker and I just keep hold of the pack with the least offensive picture on it then just pour tobacco from one pouch in to that one lol. Also you didn't mention it but not only do our tobacco products have those nasty images on them but they also ALL have to come in that dark-green packaging. Makes every brand look the same, I think in an attempt to make smoking look boring.
As a smoker in the US, I kinda wish we had that in our packaging. Not to drive people away from smoking but bc it just looks cool to me. Looks better than our generic packaging (Americans are too soft to see graphic medical pictures).

The pictures are so varied though I mean my tobacco pouch I bought the other day just has a picture of a hand putting a cigarette out in an ashtray full of fag-ends or butts whatever you wanna call them, had another one once of just a jar full of a black liquid with a poison warning label. Then other packs are a picture of a set of healthy lungs next to a black, shrivelled set of lungs or of a dying child in a hospital bed or a close-up of rotten, yellow, brown and black teeth with multiple teeth missing, etc.
