I own a xpulse 200 bs6 and after 20,000km the engine started to give this noise. I tried adjusting the valve clearance, cam chain tensioner but no use. still the noise is there. Adjustments doesn't seem to solve the noise. The engine is just garbage in this bike.

I know a hero cheif mechanic. He says every xpulse has valve issues, every day people come in needing new valve guides, and on top of it they need to put in pulsar valve guides.

The horrible sound will comeback again and again no matter how many times we set the clearances unless the cam assembly gets an update from oem. Is there any updated cam assembly from hero for bs6 version. Any news??

Hi Yogesh, Thanks for your videos. These have given me a great understanding on my Xpulse 200 issues. I do have engine valve noice issue but I am ignoring (no other go). However i am little concern about the oil leakage issue (same area which you showed in the video). I had this issue two months back and showed the same to Hero service center. They just changed the Gasket. After about 1 and half month, i again started getting the same leakage issues. So, i again took the bike to service center and asked them for a proper reson (as the gasket is fine). They said they will change the gasket again and see ( i was not satisfied with their answers but had to accept). They changed the gasket again and while putting the head cover back, they observed that one out of two bolts holding the head cover is not getting tighten. Then they said that threads in the part where these bolts are getting fastened have gone and need to replace. So, now my question to you is, will that be a easy replacement? I do see that part holding many other parts.. so, if they dont replace it properly, then it may increase my engine noice (my thought). So, could you please provide your thoughts on this?

sir do you know the tps sensor idle calibration value of xpulse? i cleaned carb but forgot to measure tps sensor value beforehand now it's not idling good i kept idle value at 0.40v

Glad to see you back! last week I serviced my xpulse and changed the front brake pads with the apache's one, those pads are pretty cheap than the stock one. And btw any update on tappet noise, do you still running that 0.07 and 0.09 setup or go back to 0.06 and 0.102 ? Any suggestions regarding it will be very helpful because mine did 9k kms on odo and need a tappet adjustable very soon. One more thing i changed my oil from stock one to castrol power 1 ultimate 10w40 and it does a good job, engine runs quiet and cool, but the head is still noisy

.my xpulse noise was nearly double this noise . I raised lot of complaints . Hero service guys didn't pay any heed . Then after quaralling and heated arguments they changed the rocker arm and cam shaft still vehicle had heavey noise then I changed to shell 10 W 40 engine oil with 3M oil additive. Even adjust the timing chain tensioner . It also creates a rattling noise .another trial I did was mixed 2T oil with petrol .and it has worked . My piston rattling has reduced remarkably . My xpulse engine noise has reduced by Approx 80%. Xpulse is a good vehicle problem is with service . Ye hero service Wale are hopeless . Gadi ki vaat laga dete hain . Just info.

This is the quality of third class Desi engines. There are only 2 valves , compression ratio is also less , it has Fuel injection also & still this engine vibrates. Bajaj , Hero , Tata , Mahindra all of them make third class engines

No issues with the engine bro, it's happening due to 10W30 mineral engine oil..hero is treating this 200cc engine as same as their 100-150 lineup. Just switch to 10W40 or 5W40 Fully Synthetic Engine oil and it's all sorted. Thank me later!!
