We're an AI-free review show about restaurants, hotels, and products presented in a few minutes. Reviews are based on real visits to restaurants, hotels and activities. My goal is to help you make informed decisions before trying on your own.
All opinions and videography are my own. Prices are approximations as they change over time.
I'm Arthur, a food enthusiast, former Yelper, voracious reviewer, and lover of travel and people. I travel anywhere to try new experiences year round. As I'm not a picky eater, I'll eat anything and try anything with an open mind. Contact me if you want me to check your place out. I always give fair restaurant, hotel and product reviews. Email: minutereviewshow@outlook.com
I currently call Long Island and New York City my home, so most of my reviews will be from the Tri-state (NY, NJ, CT) area.

Dan szeto Vancouver. And only you give extra explanation touson ookin My dad owned two restaurants north of san francisco. Two much work. Thanks for letting us know of chinese cooking
You're welcome and thanks for watching!
How do you always go there when it's not busy.
The only way to do this is to go off hours, usually 2-5:30 pm.
Great recommendation. Just went last night and it was just fantastic. Not sure if you been to taste of Caton but please review. Would love to hear your opinion.
Glad you enjoyed this spot! Also thanks for the suggestion! It's on my list!
Spice is nice
I went there nearly two weeks ago and it's full of stuff that's just too cute! And I could not compose myself when I got to Miniso! Such a great mall!
There's definitely something for everyone at that mall!
Very good food
I live in the area. The food is great 👍 now we don't have to go into flushing to get great food.
Tyvm and yqw Arthur 😊
I notice you order the same dishes every time, you should make a spreadsheet of the raking of each dish.
That's a great idea. But if you ask me offhand what my favorite version of a dish is, I can easily tell you what it is. Perhaps I should make a "best of" video?
LOL I am mostly a Toisanese speaker but I knew enough to know she said some 'spicy' words. 😂 I like eggplant so would have liked to seen more eggplant in that dish. The pork and the sticky rice dishes looked delicious and more traditional. Glad to see generous portions. Thanks for pointing out this restaurant!
When I do my reviews, there's lots of colorful language in the background. But my channel is definitely a family channel!
Hi Arthur...😮 Wow another great recommendation from your friend...first off...all the dishes looked amazing...the eggplant dish was different, but very tasty, the lobster and sticky rice looked grand and the salt n pepper, I prefer the Peking style more 😋😂...very balanced choices...glad you enjoyed your meal...have a nice weekend ❤😊
Have a good one too!
Looks delicious. I like the jazz background music. I think Arthur likes jazz
Thanks for introducing this Cantonese restaurant. Will visit it when get a chance to visit NYC .
Arthur, born in 1982 or later?
Hands down Mei lai wah was the best baked roast pork bun in NY. The baked Gai Mei Bao was also best in entire City. Legendary status. I had relatives from out of State visit and buy several dozen to freeze and take home. They were never really known as a “full service restaurant”. More a grab and go joint for breakfast. Had few dim sum items too. I think they made huge marketing/branding error in using the same name for noodle restaurant
I am big Wong my last name 😂good food first time 1979
What was the tab? Got it I almost ended it.
$200 for the family? You Da Bow?
How long did you spend in there? Did you told them in advance you was filming? That's a small place what time did you go to have the place to yourself ?
How much was the tab? Why 1.59 subscribers? This is like a cafeteria? You should pan the layout.
My go to place everything time I’m in NY. IMO, their roast duck is best.
They've been there for ages and for a good reason!
Your videos are a little long. Do you order in Chinese or in English?
Thanks for watching! The language used is dependent on what easier to communicate the dish. Also, depends on the waiters.
Not feeling the “B” health score…
I left New Jersey after I graduated from college in 1979. I miss the good Chinese food in Chinatown. From your and other videos it looks like the price is slightly less than here in the Los Angeles area.
Thanks for watching! I think the secret sauce in Manhattan's Chinatown is that many restaurants are in buildings that they own. The public definitely benefits!
Looks good. NYC has some good sushi spots.
NO!!!... at most very traditional places in both Manhattan and Flushing Chinatowns a light batter is the way S & P squid is made - And those are long hot green chilis, not jalapeños. but other than that, I'm sure you know what you're talking about.
To summarize, the wings were super spicy and hit Arthur’s tastebuds. But it was delicious
Does each restaurant accept credit card for payment? Important to know.
A good rule of thumb is that restaurants outside the core of traditional Chinatown cores will accept credit cards. And within the core of Chinatown, the old school type of restaurants, not the ones with younger customers will generally not accept credit cards. For Jade Asian, they definitely accept credit cards.
Another gorgeous meal. Arthur loved the juicy pork
Wanna collab on some places? Hit me up, we can do two opinions.😂. I’m usually in Little Neck
Never say never!
Another great review. Can't wait to try their BBQ pork!
Thanks for sharing, can you comment on parking availability at the Hotel Champlain. Salamat.
Yes, the parking must be reserved. The only way to do this is to call the hotel ahead of time. Spots are also very limited, so call way ahead. I think it was $25 Canadian. Finally, the spots are small, so don't bring a giant SUV. They will ask you what kind of car you have before they make the reservation for you. BTW the hotel is in a great location!
Hi Arthur, this is my first time viewing your channel and video. Very nice job on reviewing Ming Wong restaurant. I just subscribed to your channel and looking forward to your future videos.
Thanks a bunch! I appreciate that you enjoy the channel!
Every time I go to Chinatown I always stop at Big Wong to eat. I have been going there since the 80's and I have not found a restaurant that really taste as good as them. I did go to Ming Won when they first open around 2018 and the food not not as good and I heard the rumor that it was own by a different family member. But it seams like that restaurant had go through several remodel and changes since then. I know you mainly review restaurants but have you found a good place for ready made food to go? There used to be a place called May May in Chinatown and all they sold was the sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves don't know how to write the name in English but they were as good as the ones I used to have in Hong Kong back in the 60's but they closed and I haven't found any place that make them that's taste like home made ones. I hope you will do a review on the food Court on the corner down the street from Ming Wong that used to be a huge Dim Sum Restaurant on the weekends.
Hey, thanks for that long comment! That's a lot of history that you went through. I usually like Century Cafe on Grand Street. You can get dim sum, buns and other stuff there at decent quality. As for May May, they were a classic in old time Chinatown. They've been gone for many years, but I think there's two places that would have it. I haven't had it for years, but here goes. One is Mee Sum Cafe right across the street from the old May May. The other place is actually the old lady who sells the sticky rice in bamboo leaves on the street. She's always at the corner of Grand and Chrystie Street by the entrance of the B & D Grand Street subway station. Finally, as for your suggestion about Mott Street Eatery, I'm not sure if I can do a good job covering that place because I'd have to order a ton of stuff. One day I might try, but it's daunting!
@@minutereviewshow Thank You for the quick reply. I will try those places that you mention the next time I'm down there.
May May was on Pell near Mott Street. Lotus steam buns were my favorite.
I miss May May. There is a small spot at the corner of Elisabeth and Hester that sells jong. They have variety and other items
Tyvm and yqw Arthur...guess I've been spoiled with the chow fun noodles being thicker and wider...😂😂😂
Glistening with oil and slurpee with minimal chew. The corners of the lips will ooze oil that the tongue will recover back.
@ManChan-w5p old school style...the best chow fun 🙊😋🤣🤣🤣
Hi Arthur, thanks for another great video. All your choices are good looking and certainly delicious. As I said before wonton is my favorite. The prices also seem reasonable.
Most certainly reasonable. It's amazingly "cheap" compared to what I find in Midtown Manhattan! Thanks for watching!!
Great review...food looked delicious...prefer my chow fun noodles thicker and wider...have a nice weekend ❤😊
Somehow I knew you would like the other type! It's definitely the opposite of the Hop Lee chow fun noodles that I had this summer! Enjoy your weekend as well!!
You have to go to Duff's or Anchor Bar in Buffalo for real Buffalo wings.
I've been to Anchor in Buffalo. It was awesome!
You have to try the salt and pepper pork chops.
Tried them on Sunday, fish curry and goat, both horrible.
I like that cash only sign. It’s very typical for Chinese restaurants to have done that.
Very!
Cats make people happy
Tried this place out recently and the chicken sandwich is good. Sauce was nice. Tried the teobokki and it was good. Just wish they gave a little more for the price they charged. It was like 15 bucks for not much rice cakes and other assorted items. The right flavor just not enough for the price.
Hello! This is chicken is back, we lower down the price for the spicy rice cake from $14.95 -> $12.95 !! Looking for to serve you again 😊
cha sui is really known as BBQ pork, not roast pork
