Thank you for making this video! I used your file to download everything, and it downloaded fine, and the update appears to work. Thank you and I have subscribed to your channel. Edit: The update took, it shows up but there is no amplification of the signal. I will try loading again, if it doesn't work, I will go back to version 2.6 Edit 2: Reloading the software did the trick!
Having problems updating to ver.2.8 firmware in micro power 50+..... I bought 2102 usb adapter, but when I connect jumpers between usb adapter and pa50+, as noted in manual "Note: If the small board of the serial port module does not have DTR, it can also be connected to the RTS of the serial port module", the 2102 board has nothing resembling RTS to connect the DTR to !! Help, please
Hi, my new MPA50+ has firmware of 2.8.5 and on 15m, when I press PTT, it shows BYP in place of TX. Unable to remove that. If I change band, it works just fine. Only in 15m. SWR is good on the band at 1.2. Do you know why BYP is coming up ? Thanks.
@@vu3gwn I had the same issue. 15m and 30m don't work and just show BYP. There is a multi-click option that is missing from every manual I can find, that is for "30/15m Open/Close". This comes up after 8 clicks. Do the 8 clicks until it says "open". Then power the amp off and back on. This seems to enable/disable 30m and 15m operation. Same as for the 7 click menu option for "17m/15m SWR On/Off". No mention in the manuals, but turns the SWR meter on and off for 17 and 15m (no power cycle needed).

Thank you for your work ON7OFF. I do have a question. Is there any difference between the two amps other than the display size? If not, strange there's two different FW's. And thanks for sharing. I would not have known about 2.8 if it wasn't for this video. I'm one of those that refuse to join FB. I'm not alone.. Just sayin..
I don't have much trust in these firmware updates. There ist no official source for the updates. There are no official release notes for the version numbers. And while it took 6 month to get from firmware 1.9 to 2.1, we are now presented firmware updates on a weekly base.
@@Funkwelle I have added this information in the comments section of your own video regarding the Micro PA 50. I told you there is a Facebook group called Micro PA 50 and this is where you can get the information, files and details. As not everybody has FB, I just share it here on my YT channel to help people. I also refer to the video from Wang who makes the amps. He is not a company, he is just a independent person who designed the amp for the ham community.
@Funkwelle 1. When and how often the firmware will be updated depends on user feedback. Users raise issues and suggest new features, new firmware fixes issues and adds new features, and that's it. 2. In your video, I responded to the questions you raised, and I asked you to send me an email and I would send you the link, but it has been at least 2 weeks and I have not received your email. . 3. I repeat here: there is no official website, but there is a network disk for releasing new firmware. There is a discussion group. These all existed a long time ago. I set a time almost every day to go to the discussion group to answer everyone's questions. These links are written in the sales introductions of many cooperative merchants, but these links cannot be posted in comments because they will be ruthlessly deleted.

Hi,
Does this PA works on 60m band?

My PA 50+ does not work on 30m or 15m. Says "BYP" in the upper right. Is running 2.8.5. Anyone else experience this or have a fix?

Hello dear friend. Great material about this software. Will you be doing PA50+ tests? I have ordered it and am waiting for delivery.
Does the + need to have the firmware updated or just the first one?
It depends if you wish to have the functionality to disable/enable the buzzer. If you don't bother about the buzzer, no need to update

I get the firmware from the designer of the amp. There is only one person who makes these amps, so how you want it to be more official?
@@ON7OFF So you found the official website? With downloads, release notes, manuals, etc.? Why don't you share this important source?
