lf they would have made another STBB with trades and season stats it would have been one of the greatest baseball games ever!! l still think the feel of yanking a HR on this game is second to none!!

This is actually a great baseball game when you get the hang of it and turn the annoying announcer off. It reminds me of the original R.B.I. plays very similar but you can play a season without a battery save too

I started playing EA FC24 after playing FIFA 22. So several years in between. The commentary is almost exactly the same. This game from 1992 actually has way more variation then FC24.

At 2:04 you could have advance the runner on first to second, the catcher won’t throw to second if you have a man on third

Wow! Love it! I think I used to make the ump say “HES SAFE” over and over again because I couldn’t believe there were actual words being said in a game during this time 😂

Some games like Ken Griffey, Junior baseball do not have a good interface for when you have to feel the ball. It doesn’t give the outfielder enough time to know the trajectory of the wall. Does this time give the Fielder enough time to make a reasonable decision? That’s what RBI baseball was good at.

Yeah! This was based on the 1991 statistics. Cal Ripken and Terry Pendleton were MVPs for their respective leagues. Chuck Knoblauch and Jeff Bagwell were the rookies of the year. Roger Clemens and Tom Glavine won the Cy Youngs. And the Minnesota Twins won the World Series.

World Series Baseball 95 truly set the standard until Triple Play came on the scene and the rest is history. I too kept stats in my notebooks for this game and for Ken Griffey Jr baseball on SNES. (You had to even though it kept stats because at the all star break every year, one player on your team had their stats reset, and you never knew who it was going to be at random.)

Absolutely loved this game. It has a sentimental value for me as well. In 1992 I was in a major car accident and pretty banged up. I had to be home for an extended period of time. My dad went out and bought this game for me to pass the time. I was in heaven. Like many players, I too had a notebook where I tracked all the stats (I used the White Sox...I was a die hard McGwire fan his entire career, but this game was based off of his worst season as a Pro). Went through several seasons. I still have this game today along with a mint Genesis (I saved all my old systems....all in perfect working order). I'm now 52 and think I may just break this out again. Thanks for the video :)

Love the backstory! I received this game in a mix-up when my dad moved out of his friend's apartment (the friend had lent me some Genesis games, and he came and got them, but he left Sports Talk Baseball behind). I was already quite familiar with Lon Simmons' commentary from Joe Montana Sports Talk Football, one of the only two Genesis games I had when my uncle gave me his console. Baseball was probably my 4th or 5th favorite sport, so it was low on the priority list; I spent most of my time playing full football seasons. But one night at my dad's new place, not having much else to do, I finally put this game in. The graphics were simple, the commentary seemed clunky and outdated now, but I played anyway...and it definitely pulled me in! I don't remember which team I used or played against, but I remember losing a hard-fought battle against the CPU. It's a 16-bit game, but it feels like its between 8 and 16 bits. I still have my copy, and my original Model 1 Genesis -- maybe I'll play through an actual season soon.

For The Peace Keepers, i prefer Japanese version because in NA version most of the music was removed and replaced with ambient sound. Like you said i also don't care about story, just give me a fun and addictive gameplay with great music and i'm cool with it.

Oh man, auto fielding is absolutely the way to go with these baseball games. That function alone kept me playing Reggie Jackson on Master System well after the "better" Tommy Lasorda baseball came out. Great video dude, took me long enough to get around to watching this! 😅

Good to know that someone out there also believes '94 is overrated. Even back in the day, I would argue with my friends about which was the superior game, '94, '95, or '96.

I actually quite like this game, despite it's short falls. I think in the end it's most guilty of not being Streets of Rage 2. I honestly believe it would have been better received if it had a completely different name and entirely different characters. Nice playing!

I am by no means a Sega expert, still a noob really but I love Streets of Rage 2 and Jungle Book is great too. You came up with a nice value with this list too. I really need to seek out the Shinobi games. They look great. Cool list man. 🍻🤙🏻

I hope they can redo the English version and make it uncensored like the Japanese version and work on the colors a little bit better to be more digital and a less lot cartoony I bet it could be done for Final Fight SEGA CD again!!!

I have always been interested in this title, but I have never played it. This is a fun watch, looks like a blast to play.
