Just getting started with my Gen 2 Preditor in 6 mm ARC !! Its shooting 1/4th inch groups at 50 yds ?? Its a good start But I have not really started to learn to shoot this unit !! I put on a bipod and got my pinch bag out of the closet !! So we will see what happens !! I did clean the barrel before I started shooting and it had lots of crap in there !! Remarkable !! It is fun to shoot either 103 or 105 Hornady bullets ( I don’t remember, 103 i’m pretty sure ) Box says 2750 ft per second so I’m guessing around 2700 ft/sec ! I’m really happy with the new stock ruger put on these, much better, much stronger fore end and is adjustable !! My only change will be a trigger spring by Mcarbo ! I have used their springs in several rifles and its a game changer !! Got two Win Model 70’s right down to 3 lbs from about 8 lbs, which is perfect for hunting IMO !!

Can you add a bipod to it? Do you need an adapter? If so do you know what it’s called

I got 6.5 Grendel Ruger gen 1 with 123 grain sst shoot alright for me half inch group at 100 yards but takes me like 5 min for each shot lol but it works for me to get better groups lol I got cheap Bushnell trophy scope on it with 4 hole weaver skeleton rings ..hey it works why would I change it lol

You should be using 147 gr. And 150 gr. Winchester ammo

I wouldn't just brush off the wolf ammo. I've shot that stuff through my AR BCA and my Ruger American gen 2 and it grouped very well about 1.5 MOA @ 100yd. It did group about 1 MOA higher than the S&B and IAAC 123-4 gr ammo. Shooting from a sled will remove a lot of variables from the equation,👍

I've 500 rnds through mine and also the Hellcat Pro. Only hiccup was an inexplicable failure to eject around 200 rounds with the Pro.

I really feel ALL Grendel mags don’t have enough upper angle on the bullet. I’ve had to open up the front on all mine. It lets the bullet angle up a little more. Has almost eliminated feeding issues

.45 is my emotional support caliber too. I solved the "what to carry in .45" a couple of years ago when I got my Sig P-320 Nitron Compact in .45 ACP. It's now my EDC. 9+1 (10 round mags from the full size .45 work), 3.9" barrel, 26 ounces, night sights, Pic rail, great trigger, and great ergos. All I have done to it is put a Talon 'pro-texture' grip on it. This thing is a shooter! About the size of a G-19. I can conceal it in just shorts and a T-shirt. Try one... The downsides of the Shield .45 are the barrel being so short (velocity loss), capacity being so low, the grip being so flat-sided, and the trigger sucks.

Best thing you can do with the Grendel is load your own in my humble opinion. Good video though, I appreciate the variety of options you tried hopefully you find an option that works well for you.😊

This seems to be consistent with what everyone is getting with their Gen 1 Grendel rifles. Really wanted them to do better!

Just picked up some frontier boxes. They were $2 cheaper than Hornady black. Have some wolf also I’m going to try.

nothing wrong with Glock, but the M&P does most things on par with Glock, and some things it does better. Also the Garand Thumb freezing and mud tests... that's a pretty damn strong argument in favor of the S&W

I have one in 6.5 creed - with hornady black 140gr bthp I have been able to get .4 MOA at 100 yards

Got a security so my daughter can shoot with me with smaller weeker hands. So far it's awesome...It may be my carry if I go 380. Feels great in my paws..a little wider than most carry guns but I like it.

I shot my new Ruger Gen 2 Predator in 6 mm ARC for the first time as I wanted to get the scope sited in. Because I was just getting the scope working I elected to shoot at 50 yards, not 100. I am not a very good shot yet with that rifle, However, 5 shot groups with Hornaday 105 grain bullets was 1/4th inch groups, at 50 yds. The Scope is a Athlon Argo 6x24x50, a really nice unit !! As I shoot more and get to using my bipod and pinch bag, I feel pretty confident this rifle is a real shooter ! Time will tell but the rumors I’ve heard re: Ruger Gen 2 Predators not shooting well seems do not apply to my rifle !! My aim point was not nearly as precise as it will be when I get more and varied ammo and really test the accuracy !!

Big loose for my GX4 IS: - the rounds will nose dive in the magazine when fully loaded only , it will any bigger hollow point to get stuck on the ramp . (all of my older and never production gx4 do it. , makes it completely unreliable for JHP ! )

I have ruger american predator 6.5 Grendel i get about half inch group at 100 yards with 123 grain sst customs and doe i shot with it only ran anout 40ish yards good cailber for deer in my opinion

I love this gun. I brought it to the range with me again this morning along with a couple more expensive 9mm pistols, but I enjoyed this one the most. I never intended to use it for carry, but I like so much that I'm gonna purchase an IWB holster for it and give it a go. It's such a great pistol for the price. 380 ACP is more expensive than 9mm but I have found pretty decent deals on ammoseek if you buy in bulk. Side note, I have thousands of rounds of Armscor 22LR (sadly) and it's pretty dirty, crappy stuff. These days I use it only in a Rossi lever gun since it will feed literally anything and if it fails to fire I just cycle it right out.

I love them both. Also my p320 is AXG model, all metal. Fits hand like a glove and shoots smooth, no reliability issues with neither of them.

Love me some 6.5 Grendel. Frontier Cartridges are OK. Sometimes Grendel is hard to come by. Great Video. Do not let other people tell you how to do YOUR videos. Keep it up. If you shoot 6.5 Creedmoor show us some videos. I am just getting into that thanks to my son.

Did I understand you to say that you weren't going to be aiming for the center of the target because you expected the ammo to shoot low?

This rifle needs to be REALLY CLEAN and well lubed….if not , will sometimes jam

Picked up four boxes of the new Palmyra State Armory black Sabre 123 grain but haven't had a chance to try it yet not a bad price I think four boxes was little less than $75

It's your buffer tube.Those high caliber rounds need AH3 buffer.You can't run AH2 or smaller buffer.In those platforms you gonna have to run a h three

Testing a shotgun was fine but to test this particular ammo, it would be a better choice to shoot ballistic Gel to see the wound channel, split of the pallet & penetration of it.

Maybe you hit the slide lock by accident
