They usually board by high speed boats. Ship ke speed utni Tez nahi Hoti. Ship par gun nahi Hoti hai, in case agar hum High risk area me jaate hai to company ship ko armed guards provide karwati hai

Yes we do change for meals. Plastic covering is only for providing extra protection.
Do all Bergebulk vessels have starlink? I think they have handysize as well
Not yet, we are still in transition of equipping all fleet vessels with starlink.
Fifty or so years ago l sailed on what were then considered large ships ...VLCCs..Very Large Crude carriers...The first of those l sailed on was called 'Megara', a Shell oil Tanker. of about 210,000 tons. l was amazed, pleasantly surprised how these ships were fitted out. Far superior to ships l had sailed on before. All the crew had an on' suite bathrooms equipped cabin. We didn't have all the trappings of your modern day ship but they were pretty comfortable for their period...Haven't heard the term 'Monkey Island' for a very long time...Thanks for my youthful memories...

Looks like pretty spacious, clean, and complete accommodations. I'm sure you're ready to go ashore after a long voyage but it looks pretty comfortable onboard. Do you have a dedicated medical officer, or are medical duties the job of a crew member who also has other duties?
We don't have a dedicated Medical officer. Medical duties are taken care of by Master and Chief officer.

Thanks for an informative vid. I just can’t work out how the off loading grabs can pick up the last of the grain loads. I saw too that there was iron ore deposits/remains in the holds after the hold was declared empty. Does that mean the hold is contaminated for the next load? Or will it be cleaned out for a different cargo? It’s all very interesting. Thank you for sharing.
Glad to hear from you. Near the completion of discharging, bulldozers are lowered into the Cargo Hold to collect the cargo from the sides and then transfer it into the crane's grab. Stevedores usually shovel the cargo as much as they can and collect near to the grab. If in case we are scheduled to load different grades of cargo, then After departure, we carry out Cargo hold cleaning and washing.

Dear sir, I have a question regarding loading of urea Fertilizer in the ship through opened hatch covers.... How can we avoid rain and humidity ingress while loading such products at ports... Is there any canopy type covering arrangement available in the ship cargo service market? Or have you ever seen such water proof covering while loading in the ships? Can you share your email address to discuss more on this topic? Thanks
Sorry I haven't loaded urea fertilizer anytime during my sea career. However usually cargo operation is stopped if there is rain or excessive humidity.

We do have an IT support team assisting the ships with IT related matters. But they work on shore and assist us remotely.

Nahi onboard nahi Hoti. Humare ship ke servers ki troubleshooting remotely ho jaati hai, and for periodic maintenance or updates, jab bhi ship port me jata hai technicians aa jaate hai.

I like the way the steering wheel is placed, all the way forward with no walking space between it and the window. WIth space in between, it was always irritating when steering and someone (mostly the pilot) standing right in front of you, and have to ask him to move just a little to whichever side. Looks like a large ship with all those hatches. Nice cabin. BTW, I sailed 42 years, now retired.
