This was my Longest Contract, since I became a Deck Officer.
Journey was long and tiring, but the joy of getting down from the ship after so much of delays and hurdles, doesn't make you feel tired.
You are going to experience all the events that took place before and after my sign off, and how i reached India.
A Surprise at the end as well.

I can truly imagine how difficult it is live alone without family. I am not a sea farer but I kind of have to spent sometimes 4-6 months away but in Land. like NY city. But it is still very painful. WE kind of miss our family our love everyday. And once you are back in India.. it is truly amazing feeling. Apna Desh toh apna hota hai... I hope you enjoy your stay and make more memories. One thing I can say. "We realize how important our family is only after staying far away from them" . All the best bro.. TC

I can't even begin to fathom the frustration you must have felt after all those failed sign off attempts. I have always been able to sign off on time, with the exception of one contract. I know, the sign off day is AMAZING! Have a good rest!

if your ship is waiting in uk Brazil or any other country ,the ship company give ticket or you have to spend your own money plz plz tell this is my biggest doubt.
All the travelling expenses during sign off/at the end of contract, are borne by the shipping company.
Seafarer don't have to pay from his own pocket.

Complete VLOG was shot on Gopro Hero 7 Black.
You can use various mounting accessories, such as chest, head or bag mount, for getting some real time footage. I did the same, when i was not able to hold the camera in my hand.
All those cancellations, and the uncertainty....... I can't imagine.
My last signoff was in March 2020 in Dubai, right before the storm hit. Even then my signoff was 50/50.

Brother if your contract was of 6 months but like this your stay extended for 11 months , so do you got paid for those extra 5 months and was the amount same?

Not a problem work 323 days rather then sitting job less.. company has paid for each days.... being a seamen I don't find u have to hard work there for 24 hrs.. ever thing is done by the crew working under u..

If you want to join the Deck side(deck Officer), go for IMU cet exam (after your 12th) and If you want to join in Engine side(Engineer) go for Marine engg.
