I did not like it. Returned it. Lot of air and less power for my grinding needs.

Ma’am I have a question. Why are you grinding the urud and rice separately instead of together?
Urad daal and rice are different in texture and composition. Urad daal is easier to grind and does not take long. Rice on the other hand is tough (even after soaking) and requires more grinding to get the right (fine) texture. That is the reason you grind them separately and then mix them.

Hi, we are trying to buy a blender for indian recipes. Ninja IQ 1400 would be ok?
It depends on what kind of Indian recipes you want to use it for. If you want to make simple tomato-onion curry base or ginger-garlic paste etc, it is okay. However, if you are looking to grind fresh coconut for curry or make idli/dosa batter, I will not recommend this one. It just does not have enough power to grind our ingredients to the texture we want or like.

@@daicygeorge6152, this is going to be a long response, so bear with me. If you want something for idli/dosa, I would recommend you to buy a wet grinder like Premier or Ultra separately. This will be an investment that will pay for itself, trust me. For regular Indian blending/grinding needs, I have heard great things about Vitamix. So if your budget permits, you can look into it. However, make sure you are getting the top of the line and most expensive one. I got a mid-range Vitamix and had to return it, because it was no good for my coconut curry base. Finally, I think our good old Indian brands are better at the moment; price and performance wise. Looking into Preeti 750 watts or more.

Hi, where to put it 24 hours? Can I put it just in my oven, without turning on the heat?
If you are living in colder climate, you can put it in your oven and leave the oven light on. Don't turn on the heat. Check after 12 hours and then leave it for another 3-4 hours
I passed by a bag of frozen, whole chub mackerel in the store today because I wasn't sure how i could cook it. Next time I am there, I'll be grabbing a bag! Thank you auntie!

In video rice flour is steamed but in the recipe card it is all purpose flour which is steamed.Do we steam rice flour or maida? Please tell
You have to steam the all-purpose flour (maida).

Looks like it, trust me, it is not burnt. When it cools down and solidifies it will turn light brown and have a grainy texture with amazing aroma.

I use a cleaver for cutting fish. Although for mackerel it is not needed. I also use kitchen scissors to trim out the fins. If any fish has scales, I use a small, narrow knife to remove those.

For frozen paneer you will have bring it to room temperature before using it.

I have ninja blender but I tried to make dosa bater with this but it was not like your bater means small hard pieces of lentil & rice are left
Which model do you have. I have been very disappointed with the recent Ninja blenders. The Ninja I use in the video has unfortunately been discontinued.

You could check frozen aisle of your supermarket or you could make it with fresh berries when they are in season.

If it’s ok to ask, which store did you buy the frozen mackerel from? I’m from the same area and there are a lot of asian markets to choose from so I’m not sure which one to go to. Also did you have to gut them yourself? thanks :)
When I made this video, the frozen mackerels were available in The Asian Food Market store in Plainsboro. However, recently I have not see them carry it. You can also check 99 Ranch Market in Edison. Since these come whole and frozen in a packet, I had to clean and gut them myself.
