The Partido
United Kingdom
The Partido is a TH-cam channel that aims to bring the Spanish speaking world of football to an English speaking audience. For many football fans who don’t speak the Spanish language, news from leagues like La Liga and Liga Profesional Argentina can often be restricted to the upper echelons of Real Madrid, Barca, Boca and River Plate.
However, this channel aims to change that with a string of videos that will focus on the areas of football that you may currently not have the time to research. We love making videos about the stories that make football. Football is so much more than 90 minutes on the pitch so expect videos on the history of clubs, how fans enjoy matches and more!
Of course, we will focus on Real and Barca as well!

Visiting Estadio Centenario - The HOME of the World Cup
The Estadio Centenario is one of football’s most iconic and important stadiums. It hosted the first World Cup final and has seen some of the most iconic moments in South American football history, transforming the way football stadiums could be built in the process.
In this video we visit the iconic stadium and explore the fascinating history of how it became the iconic home of the World Cup and why it stands as a testament to Uruguay's rich football heritage.
The new stadium has now been chosen as the host of the first game of the 2030 World Cup.

I think that your information is wrong. Return will be be February 2025.
why are you whispering?🤔
In ireland the story went that the ship was flying a flag from County clare whose colours are also blue and yellow, obviously boca know where their colours come from, just don't tell clare people.
I'll be looking out for a Clare GAA jersey in La Bombanera from now on!
interesting
I'm better than him why shouldn't I 💔
because it was only for marketing he was not playing because he was good
That should be illegal. What about his quick substitution and online bets ?
Good, rushing it made no sense. Let the construction progress as is, and where it reaches for next season then start using it again.
Camp nou is the most beautiful 😮

False, not delayed...opens in 2024/25 season...as forecast, first match of second leg...on february 2025
Y el Hurling club?🏉
And montjuic is an athetics stadium, not a football stadium
#DeezerCampNou
well they can't carry on playing at the estadi olympic luis companys because playing there costs the club around 100 million in lost revenue, rent cost etc PER SEASON. so yeah thats why they're pushing to play at the camp nou even at a reduced capacity
the team is performing well now, fans are making the effort to attend the olympic so revenue loss is not as bad as before which is actually real reason club was trying to rush to play at camp nou this december or january. now they can wait, revenue is not so bad at olympic stadium.
@@mrbabyhughit's always going to be bad at a less capacity stadium, think about it they are in a stadium roughly 30k capacity vs the avg attendance of the Camp Nou at 75-80k
Sucks.
Why don't la liga games just be played in South America? They all speak Spanish or Portuguese. This is ridiculous
Just seen video and was suitably jealous! The reason is that I was roaming outside the stadium with my wife late Friday afternoon on Feb. 5th, 2016. The ground and museum was closed so I missed the chance to see it! However it did look a bit worn out from the outside, bearing in mind it is nearly as old as the old Wembley. We finally went back to our hotel dodging the many joggers in the surrounding parkland. My disappointment was shortlived, the next day I watched my beloved Foxes live on TV beat Man City 3-1 on the way to the title! 🏆
Disappointing you didn't get to see it inside but what a memory to have in Montevideo all the rest!
Bro you should have more subscribers! sick videos
Spitze ! Just love your videos. Cheers
Check out the Irish comedian David Nihill. He has a very funny take on the links between Ireland and Latin America.
Veléz Sarsfield, anybody? There must be an Irish connection 😊

Recreativo Xerez and Hurcules they were big club s that also fell from La liga could you do a video on them
Great channel mate, I found your channel and had to comment on this one. I'm British but my mum is from Argentina and her family are all Gimnasia supporters. It's actually the oldest still existing football club in Argentina, founded in 1887. Some others dispute that because for a period it stopped playing football and focussed on other sports, but then it re-took football in the early 20th century. So of all the currently existing professional football clubs, it's the one which started playing football first. Some other facts: 1. It has a great but tragic history: the most 2nd place finishes of any club which has never won the leage in the professional era (though it won a title in the amateur era, and won a special AFA "centenary" tournament in the 90s) 2. Has a notable supporter base, including the great Dr René Favoloro, an Argentine icon and cardiologist who invented coronary artery bypass surgery...as well as the somewhat less popular former President Cristina Fernandez the Kirchner. 3. The club which Maradonna managed until his death. I'm not sure if you're still in Argentina, but if you'd like to go to a game there, I can reach out to my cousins who go regularly, I'm sure they'd be delighted to take you there and to give you a tour of the stadium (which is in the middle of a woods, hence the club's nickname being "El Lobo del Bosque"), and of the city. Anyway, thanks for your channel, love the content you've put out about Argentina and elsewhere :) (funnily enough, despite being a Londoner, I've got a friend who is a Lincoln supporter and I sent him your video).
I understand their feelings tho every non Atleti fan prefers the new one. As a Barca fan i was dumbfounded whin they announced a new badge in September 2018 and even made merch for it. Luckily as a 100% fan owned club the owning fans voted against it
