2013 Mustang Hood Vents w Rustoleum Peelable Paint

  • I got bored today so decided to paint my hood vents. Typically people use plasti-dip but, Ive never really been impressed with it. Add to that, plasti-dip requires a glossifier which renders weird results if not used properly.
    I used Rustoleum peelable paint for this, just as an experiment and I ended up liking the results.

      Long term report: The Rustoleum couldnt hold up to the engine heat and sun exposure. I looked good for just over a month. Then, it started to crack and peel.
      I ended up replaced them with TrackSpec hood vents. I would suggest plasti-dip on the stock vents.
