What would you recommend for the tiniest of scratches? I got a nice folding buck knife for Christmas a few years back and i just noticed a bunch of micro-scratches on it from the where sheath's button rubbed against it. I collect knives and dont intend to use this one, so i want to take off as little metal as i can.

I recently had one of these in but it was much longer and much thinner. I looked at it for a few minutes and decided I couldn't do anything but hone it which did improve it quite a bit but the customer said they'd send it back to Cutco for their "free sharpening". They had to pay what I'd charge for a serrated knife in shipping and it's been 3 months and they still haven't got it back. They ended up buying another serrated knife to get them by in the meantime. I think that's a ridiculous service which is unnecessarily complicated just because they wanted to do something different.

Wouldn't sharpen a serrated knife without one of these. 1/4" belt stays on my Work Sharp KO full time. Very useful slack belt.

I have a hard time feeling the burr, so i have a hard time sharpening my knives

This product could be very useful in rc modeling, we split a lot of balsa wood sheets making different widths from larger wider stock, would need a couple of modifications 1) one end side would need to be flush with the center pieces because its easier when splitting balsa wood to set the wood on a cutting self healing board and set the splitter on top of the balsa then pull to split this helps keep the strips flat on the cutting board. 2) the other side needs to stick up a certain amount depending on the thickness of the balsa stock that you start with there are only about 4 different thicknesses and if you have a 1/8" side, 3/16" ect... you could just rotate that one end to adjust the height that it sticks up, with the other end flush with the middle sections you could use different width sheets to start with and set the blade width since there would not be any need to create more than 2 strips at a time make different width plastic center pieces to adjust your cut to many different combinations.

What you're doing with the black paper as a background under the microscope is actually clever and called darkfield light illumination.. I used cardboard stock paper That is ultra black and it's amazing for knives and coins pretty much everything

Great video ! Ty ty Low angle small knife is double clamp or double fillet clamp better . I have the L clamps just purchased . Can I use the axicube on Kadet pro ? What would you recommend for the fellow who doesn't want to pull his knife out of the jig to examine the edge. In my case the TS Prof. Thank you for this review. I still may get it for the price.

This is USB powered 5V? So in theory I could use it with my 230V mobile cellphone charger (Im not in the US)

Don't be offended, but the microscope must be optical (not digital), it's just that you will never see the main small nuances in excellent quality on this "semi-microscope", only optics and preferably high-quality, money is useless here.

Thank you brotha you are the best man! mine is coming today it should help me plenty! What is that small wooden block platform your putting the knife on to prop it up under the new scope? Is that part of the gochi? Did you get that on amazon? Do they have those at home depot? I need something to help reflections to prop my knives under this scope I do a lot of diamond stroping. Did you make that yourself? I like how you did that I want one of those they seem like its easy to slide for the edge and blade. If you have a link for that wooden small platform please post it for me if you can so I can find it or if you can please guide me I swear they made this at gochifix for people like us that do knives they are awesome I cant wait

I figured out which one it was the gochifix is what you were saying you were reviewing in the other message you responded to me a few minutes ago :) that does look like a good microscope with the shield you screw onto the lens for the shine... for 70 on amazon with the code is wway better than spending 200 for an adonstar that is overkill and that edge looks good under this one

Thank you for the input. I did think about having a belt to lay on top. I just finished the design and will start testing shortly. When I designed it, I was thinking of one blade at a time. I rounded the edges at the top so you can hold it on the side and pull it through.
