I love your video's and how you put the past into perspective for ordinary people such as myself to understand. I have a favor to ask of yourself, it involves the Tudors but starting from their beginning. I think someone should do a more indebt look into Elizabeth Woodville and I am sure it will be realized that she was not the great woman everyone has been lead to believe. She was conniving, vindictive far from a dutiful wife as Historians have painted her. Why did her first husband not leave his estate to her and their sons? Why didn't Elizabeth go through normal means to get the property back. What happened to her first husband's mother after Elizabeth became Queen, the woman who took what Elizabeth believe should have been hers. In my opinion she spread the lies about Richard and her daughter, She plotted with Margaret Beaufort to wed her daughter to Henry, while she also plotted with Margaret of Burgundy, whom I believe had one or both of the Princes with her, to place her son upon the throne destroying Henry Tudor and her own daughter Elizabeth. I am sure you will see what I am attempting to point out here. She went against the King's wishes after his death, attempting to take the power of regency while her son was a minor. But no one seems to think this wrong, all they go on are the lies spread about Richard III as the villain when I think it was more Elizabeth Woodville then anyone else.

I think Henry was ruled by his masculine ego. I think what ended his love for Katherine of A was when she sent him the bloody cape of the king of Scotland. She had been successful in battle while he had not in France. Soon afterwards he started his open romance with Bessie blout which continued for years. That must have killed Katherine. She suffered a slow death at court bless her. She loved Henry to her dying day.

'Meeting 1000 Tudor People' sounds like a great addition to the Tudor lovers bookshelf. Time and again when researching history the 'supporting cast' are much more interesting than the main subjects. Also, annoyingly, even websites such as 'The History of Parliament' contain pages (especially in regards to 16th century Members of Parliament) that hold no information at all! Many thanks Carol Ann for this interesting interview. This book is now on my booklist.

I have also read several of the series in which Jane Austen investigates crimes. I enjoyed them as well, although I can't remember the name of the author...Currently, I am re-reading the Matthew Shardlake series, by C. J. Sansom. Remarkable series set in the Tudor times. Unfortunately, Mr.. Sansom died this last April while he was writing the 8th book in the series... Thank you Carol Ann for bringing us such interesting content and guests! The Yorkists were also descended from a Beaufort. Cecily Neville, who was the mother of Edward IV and Richard III, was the daughter of Joan Beaufort, Countess of Westmoreland. Why are you asking a person who is not a native of England, in terms of heritage, about English history? His views are totally Tudor skewed. By the way, Elizabeth of York was proposed by her parents to be married to a number of nobles by her parents. Finally, Richard proposed to marry her to a Portuguese prince, not to marry his niece.

I think a special live broadcast on Wolf Hall would be tremendous. What crossed my mind was - the BBC have completed filming 'The Mirror and the Light', which will be screened on the BBC and 'Masterpiece'. It is due release either in the BBC Autumn Schedule - or the corporation may hold it until 2025 (the BBC have yet to decide ). If it was released September/Oct period (although admittedly a bit of a wait), it would allow the concluding part of the drama to be discussed alongside the novel. Also, just wanted to mention how much I look forward to your broadcasts. Many thanks - Elizabeth Cumming. @@carolannlloydshakeup
