  • Thomas More's daughter Margaret tends to be in many of the rooms or on the sidelines when great things were happening in the court of Henry VIII. Aimee Fleming brings her into the center of the action, revealing her level of learning and how much impact she had on our understanding of the history of the Tudor court.

This was an enjoyable and interesting discussion with Aimee Fleming on her biography of Margaret Roper. I look forward to reading the book. Also, regarding your future 'historical fiction' podcast, I think the 'Wolf Hall Trilogy' is hard to beat. Many thanks - Elizabeth Cumming.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the conversation. I'm sure you'll enjoy the book as well! Wolf Hall is certainly something to include. I feel like it deserves a special look...maybe we could do something live with everyone who has read it! I'll be thinking, and if you have any ideas, let me know!

I think a special live broadcast on Wolf Hall would be tremendous. What crossed my mind was - the BBC have completed filming 'The Mirror and the Light', which will be screened on the BBC and 'Masterpiece'. It is due release either in the BBC Autumn Schedule - or the corporation may hold it until 2025 (the BBC have yet to decide ). If it was released September/Oct period (although admittedly a bit of a wait), it would allow the concluding part of the drama to be discussed alongside the novel. Also, just wanted to mention how much I look forward to your broadcasts. Many thanks - Elizabeth Cumming. @@carolannlloydshakeup
