Had no ego? What Norman is a Mental mess, way to much ego. Saw him at Doral for 4 rounds signed few autographs for the kids on the other hand Nicklaus signed every young fan, hardly leaving time for the practice green.

Inxs is NOT Inxs without Michael! Inxs should have known that it was going to be impossible to replace Michael Hutchence with a wannabe!

Interesting live appearance, this was nearing the end of INXS just before they retired. They had a brief second act without Michael Hutchence on vocals from about 2006-2011, but then realized the jig is up and without Michael it's just not the same.

Sorry I can't even watch it all all I see is a man up there trying to be Michael the whole thing seems forced it's not natural he might have halfway of a voice but the charisma the attitude he doesn't have people don't want to see somebody trying to pretend to be Michael people want to see Michael and that's sad

That's sad that Michael Hutchence took his life because he felt there was no other way out of all the pain but he was feeling and the loneliness that he was feeling and now he's left all of his fans with that same pain and loneliness because he's no longer here 😭😭😭😭 RIP sweet man

JD "blew" it. too much coke and not enough sense !! INXS gave it a go and realized this guy is NOT right for this band ;) good for them not continuing just for money !! and finding ANOTHER lead singer. They have NOTHING to prove their music is super power and unique no one like them and never will be What an amazing talent each one of the band IS !!

No Clue. Honestly, this popped up .. probably because i was recently watching 80's music stuff... and I wasn't paying attention. Pretty indifferent - then I glanced at the screen. Wow! He looks super healthy and just great... has a new style but still stylish... Yes. Yes I did absolutely assume it was Michael Hutchence. It's plausible people. I knew a big fat nothing about the star search like competition - and still know very little. I do know, the band picked a freaking doppelganger for their late singer, in look and sound. I didn't watch the show, but I can't see how anyone could have beat him unless the real MH rose from the ashes! So I didn't get into the show except a few minutes here and there of ... honestly cringy performances. I also read an article on why INXS 2 with JD did not become a permanent fixture - they didn't describe it that way, more like an extended hiatus.... you know, like SILVERCHAIR🤔 (more on SC later) Soooo I guess more INXS Problem is, the members didn't stay in their lane so to speak. For literally decades, the band happily forfeited the brilliant spot light - remaining in the cool shadowy side spaces... because what else could they do? Michael Hutchence was beyond enigmatic and basically owned the stage. Now , JD of course .. did not have the years long assent to the fame and recognition that Michael had - but he already knew how to "fake it till you make it" ya dig? And he actually DID, by default, bring a certain amount of attention to a band who had been MIA long enough that .. well, it pretty much ended with MH death. So the fact that they found a dynamite facsimile? GTFOH! JD breathed life into a band on life support. They cut an album. Went on a very successful, multi - country tour, made appearances on all the late night shows and morning ones too. Plus, the band received a lot of goodwill from their loyal fans ..so what happened? After a couple months of pretty rigorous touring, the guys went on a supposed 2 week R&R vacay.... Aaaaaand the band nor the manager called JD back. Or returned calls. After strenuously attempting to contact INXS management, a form letter was sent out stating that the band enjoyed their contractual work with JD and have not ruled out contracting in the future. Wait what ? Contractual? This is starting to smell very Micheal Anthony - yes the Micheal Anthony who was on every Van Halen record and every tour from 1977 to 2015 when he got booted so Wolfie could play. At some weird point, ....the band members contracts were redone and MA officially became little more than a session player. I know. Way off any sort of the topic. I'll wrap up. Ego.. in this case, egos. The INXS members were having a group - narcissist moment. Once again, they are relinquished to the shadows. The shadows aren't a bad thing sometimes, especially if you're getting old and crusty... that could have been something too, a band full of guys going through mid life crisis. While simultaneously sharing a stage with a young, handsome charismatic guy getting tons of adoration.. Now. I think there should be a show to replace Daniel John's in SILVERCHAIR. The other guys, Ben and Chris ... Still mates and Ben especially is still involved with music. Daniel was a genius as a young adolescent, through his teens and into his early 20's. Than... aliens hijacked his mind and he started doing god awful music. He also completely began his tirade and disdain for all things related to SILVERCHAIR including the music and his former best friends and band members Mostly he has a seemingly unfixable problem with Ben. So . It doesn't look like a SILVERCHAIR reunion is going to happen anytime soon. But alot of iconic bands went on without the singer that made them famous, Like Journey, Foreigner, AC/DC, Molly Hatchet, Queen tours with Adam Lambert Oh lawd y'all. Have a great day wherever you are! 😊😊 . .

MH died and no one can do anything about that. After his death, there were 2 choices…. Let the music die, or find another singer to keep the music alive and expose it to a new generation. Just like Adam Lambert singing with Queen. And the guy who is fronting Journey now, Arnel. No, these people aren’t the original singers, but they’re helping to keep this great music of our generation alive….. and they’re keeping the rest of the band employed. Stop hating on these ‘new’ front men…. It’s ridiculous.

First saw him at Royal St George's at the 1985 Open. Amazing striker of the ball. I rooted for him so much in 1986 when he was the 54 hole leader in every major. I saw him win the 1993 Open, he played amazingly in the final round. Pity he has ruined his legacy now being involved with LIV golf.

J.D. Fortune's replacement was a joke and a slap in the face for fans. You're not gonna get better than Fortune's performance here, especially considering he had no shared history with the band and therefore no peer support. I'm sorry about his drug-taking, but Michael took them too! How do we know he wasn't off his face when he had the argument with that cab driver? Don't forget also that Michael in 1996 was a father too and the writing was on the wall for the band as he wanted to spend more time with his new daughter. Like Jim Morrison and The Doors (and what should have happened with AC/DC - but didn't - creating a band that was nothing like the original), the Farriss Brothers, Pengilly and Beers should have left INXS in the ground with Michael, and been happy for the success they had - that 99.9% of pub bands dream of but never achieve.

Most of my golfing friends believe that if you offer to play a Ryder Cup match between the PGA TOUR and LIVGOLF teams, the PGA TOUR team will be afraid of this option and refuse to play with the LIVGOLF team under any pretext. The LIV team has as many stars as the PJGA TOUR team.
