No DLC for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, has confirmed that there are no plans to release downloadable content (DLC) for the game. This decision stems from the development team's commitment to focusing their resources on completing the third installment of the remake trilogy as swiftly as possible. Hamaguchi stated, "I think, from my perspective, what the fans really want to see the most is not necessarily DLC. They want to see the third part of the series as quickly as possible."

Fewer Minigames in Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3
Feedback from players regarding the abundance of minigames in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has led the development team to reconsider their approach for the upcoming third installment. Hamaguchi acknowledged that while the variety of minigames in Rebirth was intended to enhance the gaming experience, some players felt there were too many. He mentioned, "Looking forward to the third game and to other games, if you asked me 'would I do the same number of minigames', I don't think I would." The team plans to "rearrange things slightly" to offer a different experience in the next game.

Final Fantasy XVI Review [SPOILER FREE] - Overleveled Games
16 looks like the best to me.
I played it when it first came out. I was 13. I played it so much that I could have probably wrote you a strat guide. I hope they remake it.
Final Fantasy 3(DS) was my first Final Fantasy game. Very difficult though I just gave up. Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Crisis Core Reunion were more to my liking having never played the original Final Fantasy 7 or Crisis Core on PSP. Still have to play Final Fantasy X and FF7 Rebirth.
start at 7 its the best do not bother with 16 thats hot garbage
My first final fantasy is fft
I know the video is two years old, but I got to add, you are misunderstanding the replayability of FFX - so much - the sphere grid allows you to customise your characters a lot, and you can beat the enemies in different ways, also, did you play the end game? this game more than any other final fantasy is really about the end game, revisiting all the areas, crafting weapons, customising abilities, you can literally teach any character any ability - in the end game - in the remaster version - you can also use the alternative sphere grid which lets you diverge faster, though I personally prefer the original one that is a bit more stream lined,, doing "pokemon catching" with the arena system, finding all the optional summons, you can also optimise your summons, I've played through this game at least 5 times, and it never gets old, please, consider giving it a proper try if you enjoy turn based RPGs if you haven't tried
I cant wait to summon knights of the round and watching that 20 minute cutscene in hd
Save 27 minutes, go play FF6 cuz it’s the best :D
Hey anything beats the writing of kingdom hearts tho
I wouldn’t be surprised if part 3 comes out in fall 2026
That's would be wildly impressive
@@overleveledgames do you think the level of freedom we will get in part 3 will be akin to elden ring?
Came straight to the comments. Since FF7 remake, there is no reason why it shouldn't be your first FF game!
"ATB turn based"....
There's a bit of a fad recently, especially in the indie game scene, for "liminal space" horror. I actually think SH1 has the best use of liminal space I've seen. I couldn't explain it when I was a kid, but waking through these abandoned houses, seeing really mundane things like patio furniture and empty kitchens dreamily lit in the gray fog was so unsettling to me. And after the bombastic, industrial horror of the "other" place, coming back to the normal version of the town might let you breathe a little, but it still has a weird, quietly haunted vibe that's so unsettling. Perfect example of liminal horror imo
Fully agreed
I started with crisis core as my first one not knowing it’s connected to ff7 then i played the remake tears after
We didn’t know it then but this game felt like a ps2 game.
FF12 should be your first and last FF
Yes, it is. I know some people "can't get past the graphics", but those people are mental children, and don't deserve to be taken seriously anymore than someone who can't "get past" the Elizabethan English enough to appreciate Shakespeare's immense impact on fiction. Besides, the low-res visuals make everything look even more like a nightmare than it already does. _Silent Hill 2_ is rightly considered the best in the series, but the first one is widely held to be the scariest, and for good reason.
You make me sad..pound sign sad face.
I recently played through Silent Hill 1 (first time) and 2 OG (first time in 20 years) and they both hold up incredibly! SH1 specifically has such an amazing atmosphere and aesthetic. I love the little 3D models when you pick up an items and wish SH2 had kept them.
If this is a question...yes!
Not sure if they have fixed it but if you play the ps1 game on a fatboy ps3 it had a piercing ear sound glitch when you first find the radio it made it pretty much impossible to play, that was like 15 years ago though.
That's really interesting. No, I didn't encounter any glitches during my playthrough
Yes absolutely worth playing even in 2024😊😊😊😊
Agreed!
Great game and and an excellent debut... but it's technically obsolete if you look at it with totally mature, cold and unbiased eyes. It takes either large doses of nostalgia, or a taste for retro games in the case of a younger person's 1st play. So it's for few people. But the fact is that those ps1 standards were rough and were easily surpassed by the sequels. The franchise is in a complicated spot because not everyone that grew with later game generations is into playing a ps1 game, yet this ps1 game is required to play SH3, that is the best game to suggest to someone who is just a curious casual.
You need to play Silent Hill 3, it’s the sequel to the first Silent Hill.
That's the plan after I finish the SH2 remake!
You're doing so much of what it takes to do it big. Keep it up
I appreciate that!
Silent Hill is one of the greatest games ever made. Ages like a fine wine.
Agreed!
Game´s mid, NGL, such a slog, especially at the end, didn´t particularly impress me. It feels like they are just checking new mechanics for persona 6 with this one
your so underrated! i have some friends of mine who love the same kinda stuff. i told them to sub to you for more of this kind.
Thank you so much!
SH1 is probably easier to jump into from a modern perspective just because so many modern indie horror games were inspired by SH1. Old feels new in a fun sort of way. If youve played any indie horror game with a ps1 aesthetic, you'll probably feel right at home. Also this game scared the crap out of me when i was younger, haha. The hospital was especially nerve-wracking.
My buddy sent me a loose disc copy a year or so ago, I put it on my PS1 mini with the attached screen. Really good, it was one of the only ones I hadn't beaten. I think 2, 3 and Downpour are my favorites. 4 has a great story and setting, but the back tracking sucks and the item management.
Silent Hill 1 is the closest thing I've ever experienced in gaming to reading a complex novel. When I finished it the first time 20+ years ago, I had NO IDEA what had just happened LOL! I was like "Alessa was birthing a demon? Cheryl was her doppelganger? Was Lisa real?" It was only after reading online forums explaining or theorizing about the details that I understood how unusual this game was. I really can't think of anything else since that is quite like, so full of homages to previous horror. SH1 is so full of little details/easter eggs to 70-90s horror books/movies.
God bless those online forums, haha. This lore goes DEEP
I played this for the first time in high school, not long after it came out. Probably 2000? I was IN LOVE with how unsetting it was. My friend gave me her game because she couldn't play it. I think that in 2024 the only thing lacking is the graphics. Everything else still holds up pretty well, IMO. It's a good story, I found the world pretty engaging and immersive, the sounds can give you heart palpitations lol I am *REALLY* hoping Bloober will get to remake the first game. SH2 was great psychological horror, but IMO SH1 is just straight up horror and in the best possible way
I'm so glad I kept my PS1 with Silent Hill, Dino Crisis and Resident Evil 2 & 3. 😱 those prices are ridiculous; some people are just greedy 😱🤬 Many happy hours spent playing, and I'll keep playing until the end 😂 yes, it would be nice to have an updated version eg graphics, but I highly doubt that'll ever happen 🙄
Same sword and axe model for the entire game? Did someone forgot something?
played it when i was 7 years old in 1999, could barely understand english back then...i used to call the game silent hilk for some reason. having been a huge resident evil 2 fan, i remember being weirdly lured by silent hill despite how desolate and off putting it was compared to RE2 and then i got stuck at the god forsaken piano puzzle until several years later where my brother in law randomly told me the solution for it and then i went back to completing it.....the other-worldy school was a huge shock to me because i never expected the game to take such an even darker, more twisted turn than it already was. i still remember the first time i witnessed lisa's death.......jesus fucking christ
Yeah, that piano puzzle got me too
Silent Hill 3 is a direct sequel to SH1. 2 is its own game. Although I absolutely love SH2, I think SH3 is a much better game.
I definitely agree I wish I didn’t sell 3 😂 what was I thinking
I have the physical copy of Silent Hill 1, and i play it on a ps2. I enjoyed it.
Ff7 remake was my first coz I am allergic to pure turn based combat. But 16 is my favourite so far as they have built the kind of combat I enjoy the most
Saw this in my Recommended and immediately came here to post: YES. It is absolutely worth playing in 2024, 2025, 2026…..2100. Didn’t have to watch the video to answer this question. For anyone who hasn’t played it, you’re absolutely missing out
Well, I hope you did anyways lol
As someone who played all of the original games back in the initial incarnations (or as close as was possible at the time. I played 1, 4 (II), 6 (III) upon their original releases, and by 1997, owned a Famicom and Super Famicom to play 2 and 3, and 5 respectively, via fan translations that I printed out on literally hundreds upon hundreds of pages of printer paper,) I am really not a fan of the Pixel Remasters. I really don't like the aesthetic updates of the initial few games, and find the graphics jarring when I'm so used to the originals. I also feel that much of the beauty and genius of the original games had to do with the visuals they were capable of producing at the time. The other MAJOR complaint, is that in many of the Pixel Remaster iterations (I'm thinking of IV specifically, but I know it's an issue in several others, if not to the same extent) is that they changed the experience payouts (because modern gamers are apparently deathly averse to grinding) so that unless you inferentially try to avoid encounters, you end up severely over leveled half way through the game. I also could do without the translation/localization changes, but that's a slightly less important gripe. It really just feels like strange alternative versions of the original games. They changed them too much to serve as replacements for the original versions, but not enough to be considered true remakes or improvements. Instead, they fall into this nebulous middle ground that does too much, and not enough, simultaneously.
I was 11 when I first played this game. It just came out for the PlayStation one. My mom bought it for me at the mall one night. I put it in when I got home and right after dying at the beginning I couldn’t play it until daylight lol and I had nightmares that night. It was quite the experience, especially for the time period. You’re gonna love the remake. But I would love a remake of the first one.
Im from Poland, the country Bloober Team - devs of SH2 Remake came from. I'm 38 and I remember exactly when SH1 came out. I was at my friends house, we were playing some games - Larry 7 on PC as I remember ;) and he told me that he has this PSX demo disc and there's a demo of a game SILENT HILL. It's a horror game but it's so scary, that he can only play like 15 minutes of it and that's it. He's too scared to play it more. Well, really? Show me - that was my reaction :) and... he was right. Right after Harry leaves that diner, after a cutscene with Cybil, we turn that off because it was too scary for us. I remember we felt so... stressed. We just couldn't handle that atmosphere. It was too much for kids - I was like 12-13 years old then. We were terrified and we decided that we pass on it :) Then my other friend, at school, in 2002, told me that he has SILENT HILL 2 on PC. It was on 3 CD's and because I was a horror fan, I said - well, I remember that the first game was scary as F*** and today I want to play it but I don't own PSX so please, borrow me the second one at least. That way, I first played and finished SH2 and then, when emulators launched (bleem! was the first if I remember correctly) I was able to play SH1. It was still scary AF! Different vibe from SH2 but no less scary and I remember having hard time to finish it... to finish them both actually :) So yeah, back in the day, it was a whole another level of horror and everybody said then - Resident Evil 2? Pfff - check SILENT HILL :)
I'll never forget the first time I played silent hill in 2000. I remember binge playing this game for a weekend just to beat it. I actually just bought a black copy it it was 120. I had to have it. I'm actually getting a ps5 just to play the remake. I can't wait silent hill 2 is probably the best horror game ever made.
First time I ever played Silent Hill would have probably been in college - sometime in the mid 2010s. When I was a kid I didn't even know about it, but I wish I had the opportunity to play it as a kid. The first time I played it, I didn't like it. I felt like the controls were clunky, the graphics "sucked", and I didn't get very far. I had a very similar experience with SH2 and 3 on the HD Collection back in probably 2014 or 2015 or so - it was free on Xbox 360 at some point. It wasn't until about 2019 when my roommate discovered I had the HD Collection on my Xbox and he said "oh you have to play these games". I said "Why? They seem terrible". and he politely told me I was a fucking moron. We sat down together and he watched my first full play through of Silent Hill 2, and then again with 3. He was a great audience - keeping everything to himself and just observing, except when I'd get really stuck he might give me a little hint like "wasn't there a thing back there?" - After 2 and 3, I bought 4 on Xbox 360 through Ebay, and also decided to play 1. Now, I didn't know about the PS3 store version of SH1 at the time, and everything I was seeing online basically said to emulate it, so that's the route I went. But again, I didn't finish it. I think in that attempt I got to the early parts of Midwich and gave up. It wasn't until about 2022 or maybe even 2023 that I finally sat down and played the whole thing. By then I had seen many play throughs of it, heard a lot of talk about it, learned a ton of theories and rumors, etc. So it wasn't a "clean" / blank slate experience like my time with 2 and 3 were. By the way, I never played much of 4. Own it on 360 disk and on GOG, and just haven't made the time to sit down and play it. I fucking love SH2 Remake. It's my favorite game of the year, and might be my favorite Silent Hill game, period.
Don’t ask stupid questions. If you don’t already know the answer you’re a filthy casual
The original is a masterpiece and changed my life. Rented it when it first came out and have been a life long fan ever since. With that being said they definitely should remake it still. The second one is the best one and Bloober did it justice, I trust them.
Bloober has my trust so far!
It doesn’t have to feel bad to not feel modern. It’s not bad to play even today, but it definitely doesn’t feel modern lol
As someone who was only playing it for the first time this past month, it definitely felt like something that would come out by an indie studio nowadays. In my opinion, of course
@ I get what you mean, but the whole point of indie games like that nowadays is to NOT feel modern. Like I said tho I get your point 😂
