Ff7 and 10 take place in the same universe. Ff16 is literally a dmc5 clone the combat directors are the same and i got the platinum for dmc5 while i waited for 16 to come out and there so alike. Which is an amazing thing. Its why capcom wont make a nee dmc because they cant make another combat system that good.

Final Fantasy started with FF1. You must started from there

Normal dialogue for a fantasy JRPG. Keep that same energy for kingdom hearts, same kind of shit yet still a classic

One thing I clearly noticed are the rouissantes (elves ear people). They are considered strong people unlike how we think of elves in fantasy as magic and nature users.

4, no question. there's no reason to play the original. then 6, 7, 10, 16. The rest are skippable. I love 9 and 12 as well but they're skippable

Hot take but, I think X is an awful game and represents the franchise as a whole very poorly. The story is easily the worst part. The combat isn’t terrible but it’s not good enough to make up for the bad story telling either. X-2 is even worse… IMO, someone looking to get into FF for the first time should stick to 5 or 6 for the OG turn based experience. Or play 16 if they prefer an action RPG. All other FF after 6 are too niche.

Believe it or not, my first FF experience was FF14 lol fell in love with the series after sinking a ton of hours into that MMO, went back and played 4 + 6. Planning to go on playing 7, 9, 10, and 12 next.

I have played VIII (my first one) then XV, now I am in XVI. I have checked some FF history, and I think IV needs a remake, it has a great history, my next one will be VII for sure.

I usually tell people to start on 10. Because its a lot easier to get into the game when its VA'd

Key things that i wish for with 9 remake, Beatrix as a full party member, Freya gets more expanded on with her story. Make Amarant feel like he belpngs with the party. Imo in the original Amarant doesnt belong with the party at all. Also im hoping for it the game to look like how Project Memoria looks. A part of me is still believing that square just hired the project memoria and helped them complete it and that demo twaser was a reveal in disguise as a fan made product

FFX will always be my favorite. My first entry into the series when I was 13. Played the hell out of it and X-2. Such a beautiful game. I need to get the Xbox releases

Well if you want devil may cry then play any one after 10. If you want a final fantasy then I suggest 4,6,7,9 but 1 thru 10 are what your looking for

I can't remember which FF I started with as my first 2 FF games (X and XII) were played pretty closely together since I got one for Xmas and another either before or after Xmas, and not that far from Xmas. I think I had gotten XII on Xmas, at brand new. X was definitely bought at discount since it had already been out for years. Both were awesome. I think X had a bit more open world exploration style which made it take longer because I like to explore open worlds a lot, whereas XII iirc had a more straightforward path through and not as open world? I found XII easier and quicker to navigate through the story because of that where X left me wandering around more. But I think both X and XII are good starting games for most gamers. I'm slowly working my way through VII on mobile, and it's making me feel really nostalgic for the old school games of the late 90s with those blocky graphics lmao.

What about tactics?

FFIX changed my conception of videogames… went from platformers like sonic or megaman to RPGs and never came back 😂

Best FF ever

FF6 SNES is the best FF (music, story, graphics), and those who disagree (summon Shiva). 6, 7, 10, 12, 8, 13, 9. I would love to see a Tactics remake. I'm playing 12 right now, favorite character is Fran. FF10 Zanarkand music is so nice. Yes, up to today FFXIII is beautiful, Lightning's character is beautiful. Hope was great. Whinny, yes. Come on. A kid who lost his mother, and you see him develop over the progress of the game. Just know, you're not forgiven for not placing FF6 at #1. How is Vaan whinny? To me he was kinda impulsive, asking Fran "How old are you again," best silent moment in the game.

It's personal, I think you can start with any FF. And they are people who would have started with 9. Everyone won't want to start from FF1, may not have patience and appreciation for FF1. My first and favorite is FF6 SNES (for me, FF7 my second), I call it the perfect RPG. Favorite character, Sabin. If I had listened to people who said FFXIII was bad I would not have played it. In fact, I refuse to play it until many years after it came out. When I did finally play it, I totally enjoyed it.

I love this game, it took what FF1 established and updated it (for better or worse depending on who you ask). I love the leveling system, how it takes the idea of classes and allows for you to make each character in your own image. My only issue with it is that everyone ends up as a fighter/ranger, white mage or a Holy/Flare spammer since all the other attack spells suck. The story is an ambitious jump from the first game, going from adventurous and lighthearted to dark and atmospheric. The music is also great, though I have a strong preference to the Origins soundtrack. I love the PR soundtrack too, but I feel that it's a bit too orchestral and bombastic for how somber this game is (the main battle, final battle, and final dungeon themes being good examples of this). I wish that the dungeon selection was stronger; there are no terrible dungeons like the Ice Cavern or arguably Marsh Cave, but there is nothing on par with Mt. Gulg or Eureka. This is a really solid game, but your mileage depends on whether or not you feel that the game is a bit grindy, or if the leveling system is stupid.

Woo, can't wait. U know most devs don't realise that fans of a game don't want you to change the game completely, I hope it's more or less the same but with better graphics and maybe extra stories items quests etc could be good to but arnt necessary
