So far Trails in the Sky SC is my favorite. I love maxing out the orb combos to get all the broken spells 😊, the dialogue is actually good (which is INCREDIBLY rare in JRPGs), and the story after FC is gripping. But I have yet to play a lot of classics

I'm super excited for Chained Echoes DLC and way more hyped for Ninja Gaiden Ragebound than the new 3D one, lol. Thanks for the vid.

This game is on sale so I found this video…. This was a phenomenal review. You gave such a thoughtful and measured assessment, and really hit on so many points, good and bad. Not to mention, you made it entertaining to listen to…..great work.

No slay the spire, rimworld, terraria, hollow knight, outer wilds, Stardew valley, Celeste Dude, you really need to expand the genre before say the BESTs

I HATE the loot selling, its same as FF 12. But here you can actually see if you have sold all needed, or whats missing. Just a question for that, does it add more "charges" to same DEAL, if i sell more of same loot. Or does it use those sold loot for different deals? I mean is it worth to sell all loot? or should i look up a list so i know what to sell to get deals i want without wasting materials?

Echoing others to say I was surprised with this list, and I picked up a few new wishlists. Kudos - and +1 to Blasphemous 2. I despise contact damage but man is it to satisfying to unlock secrets

Moonlighter is one of the worst rogue lites... Replayability is mind of important in that genre and it has none.

Tbh there is the Beat multiplayer one missing. There can't be a list of best Indies without Deep Rock Galactic. Easily one of the best Team Games ever Made. One of the best Communities Out there aswell

Personally I prefer Dragon Quest VIII and IX over DQ XI, and some other older ones as well. Metaphor is good, but not as good as personal 5 royal (or even just persona 5 basic), also personal taste but FF7 remake has a worse story than the original and they should have kept the turn based combat, Eidolons lost that mystic feel too cause mr robot kid can just recreate their materias. Also FF IX > FF X! xD My favorites are Chrono Cross, Legend of Legaia, Legend of Dragoon, FF IX, Persona 5 royal, Dragon Quest VIII and IX, Final Fantasy IV, Fire Emblem (From awakening to three houses), Nier Automata, and Valkyrie profile for the nintendo DS ( Dont remember the official title right now, but I loved the little twist in it, only downside for me is the story is too short)

I kinda see your point, but at the same time, I really don't think it's an issue. I personally found the exploration great. Not on hk level, but still. The only issue I had is that sometimes, it's really hard to tell where to go. Maybe it was a me problem but I could not figure out how to get back to the peach blossom village for the life of me. The other issue I have with this game is that some things are TOO inspired by hollow knight. The jade system is basically the same as the charm system, just with lamer designs and no overcharming or ''overjading''. But if we ignore the fact that it's originally from hollow knight, I don't have any issues with it. There are other things (like the lake location), but they minor and not too worth mentioning. Besides these 2 things, I have no issues with this game. The flaws just can't out weight everything else, I like it more than hollow knight. My favorite game along with 3 others (I don't rank my favorites).

Tunic was kind of a let down tbh. I was expecting a fun Zelda like adventure game. What i got was an annoyingly hard Souls like game during the era of every game OBSESSING about making their game hard as shit.

Playing metaphor at the moment. What a fantastic game. It has got me interested in jrpg again. Downloaded my ff15. Shin megami vengeance and corvein. The jrpg has a quality that is missing in many western rpg.

Deaths Door was my favorite experience in years! Such a phenomenal game. Wish we had more.

Really don't like sequel of pixel art games that go 3D, it seems like a trend recently and it's awful.

I played Tunic and its fr my first indi game EVER that was sooooo bad I uninstalled it. I was shocked how bad the level and combat design was... and its heartbreaking to see such a beautiful game beeing bad ;,(
