What I like about this game is that it totally realizes that one type of dream most gamers had at least once, the dream of playing a game you know but things aren't in the place that they actually are, corridors that go to places that don't exist, layoults that are impossible and so on and so on, it's more than 'creepy' it's actually pretty damn cool.

To let everyone know the romhack has been updated since m4m4 made this video so b3313 us now on version 1.0.1. Theres a few more new areas to explore and over 400 stars to gather. Theres this many stars now cause the duplicate stars issue was fixed and now every level has it own set of stars that will count towards your star counter. Theres also red stars to gather that unlocks some of mario's moves like the long jump and later activate other mechanics that will change other variables as you play the game. And all 13 red stars are required to get to the supposed "final level" of the games

Now that I think about it, it doesn't really make sense to say "it was going to be", does it? Because it literally was not going to be. We're here. It wasn't.

I like to think of this game as 'Super Mario 64 if your dreams designed it" Funny enough, I had a dream recently where I had a scary cutscene in a dream version of Stardew Valley and when I woke up, I saw a figure staring right at me but it was just a shadow from the nettings. Kinda like some scenes in this hack.

12:23 i KNEW i wasn't the only one which it did happened the same exact thing! Not even the fact that i played thousands of rom hacks of the game, even if i did not complete a single medium/big one of these, not even a 30 stars rom hack one lol (that includes OG SM64 btw), rn i completed OG SM64, Dream 64 and Behind the Cursed Mirror, and yes, i did also imagine and fantasize about not only OG SN64, but also some rom hacks, which for me only makes even worse the fact that i did not have a single dream about SM64 in general, not even just normal SM64 ported to my dream itself or whatever lol.

This is just absolutely amazing. I might actually buy a proper controller to play this (3D platformers just don’t feel as good with a keyboard). I hope it doesn’t worsen psychosis and schizophrenia…….

It is abstract but it is too derivative in my opinion... trying a little too hard, but I want to see this become like a subgenre for ROM hacks

In retrospect, there was this one Japanese person who attempted to make a hack of the game as some sort of sequel, but other than a few intricacies about how the game functioned it didn't really go anywhere.

I always compared it more with Yume Nikki, several doors that can lead you anywhere

This is pretty much what a fever dream feels like. Despite all the different areas this has it takes you back to more “familiar” areas when it seems like you’ve made progress.

I started playing this recently. I love everything about it. I recognize soooo much from the iceberg. I wish like save file D was just a version of the hack that like makes the levels easy to go through in order with signs in front of the levels. Like a New Game plus mode.

The darkest of the game is how thousands of Toads suffered the attack and got homeless while hundreds of them are tortured till death so their souls will be send to factory and get turned into fuel or juice that shroobs consume. Then many gets caught, brainwashed and shroobified for the rest of their lifes to play the slaves in the invasion, but were cut off when Professor E gadd destroys them too. Don't forget in Yoob there are also many skeletal koopas remains on floor or in stomach acide of Yoob, where you can clearly see how they suffered injuries and dying painfully, the worst part is those who managed to come back as dry bones, who are just killed again by Bros this time or just are left to rot forever in dead body of Yoob. And then you have Chain-Chomp hiding in sewers tricking you to kill him.
