While breastfeeding we have high nutritional needs so we don’t want to be removing nutrient dense foods unless we need to. This is...

So let's talk about it! In this video we chat about: - Some of the key hormone c...

I had a preterm delivery and i am suffering from anxiety depression that my child is born before time and is low birth. I cant accept this fact and due to stay in NICU she has dark complexion skin. Im not having that motherly feeling.. kindly help me deal with yhis situation as you too had a preterm delivery
Hi. What if i am not breastfeeding agter delivery due to low milk supply and i am getting my periods irregularly like almost 2-3 times in a month for 5-7 days..its really exhausting.. please suggest me what can be done?
Increase your fat and protein intake. Your body is craving it! I run a program where I help postpartum women align themselves so their bodies can easily balance hormones, lose weight and regain health. Many come to be torn between their health and their milk supply. You can absolutely have both. That's the way we are designed; we just have to align!
I think minerals are also very important. Especially magnesium
Can GABA be taken when needed while breastfeeding
Hi! Best to check with your health practitioner xx
I gained 60lbs during my pregnancy and can’t seem to lose any of it. I’ve been at the same weigh since my delivery (5mnths). Even after a healthy diet and exercise. Any tips?
I love your channel! I wish I had it during my first pregnancy but I’m excited to try all your tips with baby #2. Thank you
Can hyper vigilance - intrusive thoughts be fixed without medication
Yes! I teach about this.
How do you defrost ?
Just take them out in the morning they defrost quite quickly - within an hour or so.
Your kids are too cute! ❤😂
Does consuming the placenta postpartum help replenish these happy hormones?
How much grated liver would you use per lb of ground beef?
Your blood makes your food. THEN BABY EATS WHAT YOU EAT. Their systems are not able to handle all adult foods. What we eat goes to baby. Spicy food or dairy products or processed foods will cause avid reflux, hours of crying and missery.
Great to see advice on a well rounded diet for bub.
Omg girl, your speaking my language. Finally, someone talking about it! The anxiety induced insomnia is for real in my postpartum journey. This has given me relief. Im in general and very healthy person. I was feeling desparate about not getting any sleep and it was a self-fulfilling prophecy. Just knowing a bit more about whats happening and that things will eventually balance out
Thank you for sharing this. So helpful. I'm 3 months postpartum and having sleep issues due to anxiety. Definitely hard to deal with as I consider myself a very active and healthy person. Nothing can truly prepare you for motherhood, but these things, if in place will definitely help l. Also reminding yourself it's all going to pass very quickly in the grand scheme of things. We are warriors, and we have been able to raise and feed our babies in times of famine, war, etc. We can do this!
How much of these supplements are recommended daily?
Hol die Glocken raus Baby
Postpartum depression/anxiety for about 3 months after my now 5 year old was born. Im scared because I have twins due in about a month. Any big advice for me? Ty
Congratulations! My best advice would be to Plan for postpartum. How you are going to regulate your nervous system so it feels calm and safe, how you are going to support yourself nutritionally. Adding in extra supplements that support the hormonal change (I have an online postpartum class that shows you exactly how to do this!) Ask for help before you have the bubbas. I’m so excited for you, You’ve got this Mama. Feel free to email me if you need ❤️ Michala
Thank you! I had a C-section and VBAC too but struggling postpartum this time around 😢
I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling ❤️ it can be difficult with multiple kids! I have more tips and free resources on my website themamaway.com and feel free to email me. Michala
Thankyou this video was really helpful, there’s a lot of postpartum meal prep videos online but not much on healthy ones! 😊
So glad you liked it! Yes its the time we need the most healthy food possible too ❤️
Thank you so much for this video ❤ may I ask you what is this hypervigilent mode that you are talking as I think I might be suffering from it.
Such a helpful video! Thanks for spelling it out and showing picture examples of how a nutrient dense meal can look.
Great video. I love your channel.
Thank you! ❤️
Do you cook before you freeze it? And then just reheat?
Great video ❤
Thank you so much!! My baby is 13 months and sometimes I find myself super stressed or having mood swings😭 I needed this video. I can see now how lack of sleep and not having the right nutrition can be affecting my hormones. Thank you for the information 💗
Here's a MAN tip: Move out for about 6 to 8 months, saves you a whole lot of suffering. Women change after CB if you are reading this SERIOUSLY. Think twice before getting her pregnant
The good men step up and give their partners the love, support and compassion she deserves after growing and birthing a baby....
Thanks again oh❤
Can i drink chamomile tea?
Yes, but that's just one piece of the puzzle.
Yes you can though I don’t find teas to be as effective. 🤍
Interesting insights thanks
I have a hard time getting protein in workout dairy. I always feel so much better when I eliminate dairy, soy, and gluten. It’s just really hard to sustain.
What about those women who suffer malasma or pregnancy mask that didn't leave their face 5years after the baby was born?
Can be related to hormone imbalance, copper imbalance or adrenal dysfunction. Best to work with a naturopath to get to the root cause.
Swapped the nutritional yeast for parmesan I think my fiance threw out the nutritional yeast 😅
What a great video! 🤩😍 Thankyou!
Thanks for watching!
What do you think about supplement like magnesium, iron , zinc ? To help for the stress Thank you so much for this video
Yes where there’s deficiencies. These are 3 of the most common deficiencies I see with new Mums. Mag and b vitamins are very helpful for stress but also lots of minerals needed for stress support.
How long after you eat something would it affect your baby?
15 minutes
I don't have kids. Will this work for me... someone not lactating?
I love how practical you are with your advice! Also it’s funny how every tip is so simple but as a mum you forget the simple things of looking after yourself! Haha
Haha yes I love simple and practical! Most Mums struggle with getting their baseline needs met so it makes a huge difference just getting the simple stuff right - we overcomplicate it!
This explains so much thank you. I think I’m going through this right now
You’re welcome I’m glad you found it helpful! how old is your little one?
Awesome hack for eating that liver! I hadn't heard/thought of just adding the puree to ground beef recipes.
Yes it’s a good way to disguise the taste and freezing it makes it easy / convenient!
If the baby needs to be fed every three hours, how can sleep be prioritized? At most, my wife can get a max of 2.5 to 3 hours at a time. We're working on the ide strategy if she can get 3 x 2.5 hours sleep per 24 hour period, then she's doing well.
That's great that you've got a plan in place (and you're supporting her). I have a 6 week old at the moment too so I understand it can feel hard to prioritise sleep. What I find works best is going to bed as early as possible. Resting during the day whenever possible (even if she can't sleep - resting is the next best thing). As baby get's older and feeds stretch out, your wife will be able to hopefully get some 4-5 hour blocks of sleep which help with feeling more refreshed.
@themamaway thanks! Another question: I've heard that as the baby grows and can eat more in one feed and then sleep longer, it becomes better to feed regularly during the day and then try to get longer sleeps at night. My question is, how do the breasts cope with going 4-5 hours without giving a feed when they're used to giving a feed every 2-3 three hours?
Ps, our baby is 3 weeks and 2 days and is 4.4kg. She seems to be developing quickly. Thanks.
Is this all ok to take while pregnant?
Yes all are safe during pregnancy. Zinc and Probiotics I find particularly helpful during pregnancy in preparation for birth and postpartum.
Absolutely beautiful. Cooked this one today. Looking forward to making this regularly. Thankyou 👍🏻
so glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for your work :) it helped me a lot
Glad to hear that!
Could it be nursing that helped you lose the weight?
I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding for 3 months and have been stuck at the same weight. It definitely doesn’t help most women lose weight.
It doesn't help. I have 3 kids and I can tell you it can make people gain weight if you don't have discipline and control it makes you feel extremely hungry everytime you nurse.
Please, PLEASE, water that plant 😭
Yes it's still alive! Hope you enjoyed the video.
Are you certified?
She gave us our experience and tips. Do you need to be certified for that?
Nice lovely information
Can’t figure out what sauce went in.Anyone catched it?
