I'm discovering your channel years later and just letting you know they are just as helpful now 👌
Great to hear. Thank you for letting me know!
thanks a bunch, was having a hell of time trying to figure out how to choose what object gets the other objects aligned to
I'm trying to follow along with the first design you have and I must be missing something. From looking at it it looks the same, except for maybe the two adds where I can't see the steps, edge or edge steps. It does the original design in blue and then ends with two big red boxes on top of it. It also could be that I need to set the object variable somewhere? I am just getting a very different result. I figured it out! I didn't have the red box set to transparent.
Hey there! So, you're good now? Red boxes should be holes. They cut off half the original design. LMK if there are still issues. Cheers!
@@robmorrill1 I am good :) thank you!
Alignment only seems to work one way. For instance, I might be able to align object A with the inner front face of object B, but I can't get object A to align with the outer front face of object B. So the align tool only really works for me about half the time. As a solution the user could hold a key, like shift, to swap the face normal used for alignment.
Hey there. If I'm understanding you correctly, I think your issue can be resolved with the workplane tool. This would allow you to turn the face of object A into the workplane, then drop (select object, press D) object B onto it. The two faces then align perfectly. Here's my short vid on the workplane tool: th-cam.com/video/DHGZQECvjF8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4NbizGmgA4nM1tN3
Love the filament it looks so cool
Map out on ios is inexpensive and was miles better than Connect when last tested 2 years ago in the UK
Thank you! You are awesome!
Tinkercad is wonky on this one and it's plagued me for a long time. Thanks for sharing this simple and inventive workaround
Trash
That would be a crazy set of flower pots. Very nice work you put in.
I like your set up. I wish I had more printers. I have 3. We only have room for one on the counter and I have PK so we have to keep them a bit protected.
Looks like this 'tutorial' is outdated.
This is very clear and easy to follow, which allowed me now to use correctly my installed hike . Thank you very much ~ just given you a 👍
Hi can you please help, I am trying to create a course using the app and if I place one of the little black circles in the wrong place but have since placed more and don't want to use the undo, how can I remove it? Many thanks!!
I had no idea you could plot a course from the mobile app. Thank you for the video!
Is the Tinkercad app on an ipad the only way to view files created with Tinkercad in AR? We are a laptop school but do not have ipads. Anybody know? Is there an android app?
The AR feature is just on the iPad. One strategy might be to get ahold of one or two iPads for your class, then have students take turns signing into them to view and record videos of the projects they designed on their laptops.
I use rotation all the time, but there's one BUG that is so f'n annoying when working with smaller parts. That is, you hover to get the rotation arrows to show so that you can click on it, but when you try to click on it, the danged white number flag pops up and blocks the ability to touch the arrows. It takes a long time to mess with the camera positions to find one that lets me grab it. Anyone else noticing this? It does seem worse now with the latest update. ????
This is not extrusion.
What tires should i get for my ariel rider grizzly?
Very cool! Your class must be very fun!
im a 6th and ive made aome cool stuff too
As a teacher, shows great variety, very interesting with modifications of old projects. I note the use of card board, have you moved away from more solid materials or is it and exercise in sustainability? Also note wide use of mock-ups and models which is great to see.
What CAD software do you use prior to laser cutting?
Thanks! Yes, the cardboard used here is on its second life. Helping kids gain an innovative, design-thinking mindset feels like a good investment of paper resources. Cheers!
@@cristinatroccoliwilliams1389 Tinkercad or Cuttle.
That's very cool
thanks mate you made it easy to load maps
easy to way 3d model need more information lookin from pakistan
Thank you for the succinct solution to an issue I've had several times.
Nice job!
Excellent demonstration of the feature. Thanks.
It broke because ur suspension moves. Make drop down brackets from the top of the rack that hold it away from the tire. You'll destroy your bags otherwise.
Do you loose traction on the street taking turns with both motors engaged
Thanks for the great video. How did you turn the torus into a hexagon?
The align function is just stupid. If I want to place text on top of a block it will align the TOP of the text with the TOP of the block. But how to place the BUTTOM of the text to the TOP of the block?
Sorry for the slow reply here. If I'm understanding you correctly, I think your issue can be resolved with the workplane tool. This would allow you to turn the face of object A into the workplane, then drop (select object, press D) object B onto it. The two faces then align perfectly. Very helpful video. I got a Garmin 6 pro last week. Wish you had more videos on this watch
Thank u!!!!!
Thanks for sharing looking forward to more with this watch!
Hey! Is there a way to resize the workplane? Not finding any information on this.
Do you a link where you got that BMX handle bars on that grizzly?
Very useful! Thanks
LOL! Well, technically that's an ebike... I big lumbering short distance low-end ebike with massive rolling resistance.
It's great that you showed how map rotates, I was looking for that. It's send it's pretty responsive. Thanks!
I've never understood why they don't offer "hiking" when creating a course in Connect.
Hi, My fenix 6 keeps recalculating my custom courses, where I will be following the large directional arrow, the arrow will reverse to say I am then going the wrong way. I also noticed that parts of my custom course were way off compared to the actual paths themselves. What could be going wrong? Thanks.
I don't have this watch yet. The way you multi-tapped with your finger I found it very helpful to know what button you were pushing. Great video.
NIce, but tinkercad has slowed to a crawl now so can't be done at the moment
Wow
I can't seem to extruded the box. ;(
No comment section on second video... I was wondering why you didn’t use acrylic instead of the material to hold your rear pouches ! They would be water poof !
Is this fenix 6 or 6 solar?
6 sapphire.
Thanks Rob, this video was really useful. Off out to try this today for the first time 😊
Thanks for this solution. There should be an "Align surface to workplane" button in Tinkercad, which most slicers like Cura have by default. Absent that button, thanks for this creative workaround.
