I can remember ordering from Atlas back when they weren't really set up for retail clients - I had to fill out some very dated form that seemed to assume I was a commercial purchaser. I excitedly told my coworker how I found a store where we can get Rhodias and steel Lamy 2000 fountain pens at incredibly good prices. I actually do recommend starting with an expensive pen, that way your first pen will not end up something that just sits unused forever after a few years because it's no longer at your level but you don't want to sell your first. If you start out with something you are really excited for, maybe have to spend some time saving for, it will forever feel special to you.

I love cool reds and my favorite mixed red is Mission Gold Permanent Alizarin Crimson - it has SUCH a rich, dark mass tone, and washes out a little more on the pink side than my other Alizarin's (which I have 6 right now that I'm comparing) and it doesnt dry down as dull as the others either.

Orange is my least favorite color, so I could count my convenience mixes on one hand. I can say that I tried DaVinci's Peach (because I hate mixing Peach for florals) and I really don't like it, it's too opaque and pastel looking.

Watching late, but I'm catching up. I totally agree with you on Holbein Cobalt Blue Hue, it is a travesty to take PB29 and PB15 and call it Cobalt Blue... even with HUE after it, bah. Even Holbeins true PB28 Cobalt Blue is not near as vibrant and granulating as others, and I'm a Holbein fan, but Im a blue lover first, LOL. You have totally turned me on to White Nights, and I am loving the Mists that you sent to me, oh my heart! Thank you for steering me in that direction!) And WOW, that Yellowish Green Mist is gorgeous! Loved this video (I watched it first for the blues!) and I can't wait to watch the rest of the series! This is an absolute joy for pigment nerds!

I JUST minimized the greens in my primary palette. I can mix everything I need with PG7, PY129 and PBk31…oh, and cobalt teal. I’m currently working on a dragon painting I decided to challenge myself and only use the trio Denise (Soden) suggested for this month. A warm yellow, cobalt teal and PV19 (Quin red). I’ve actually been shocked at the variety of mixes I’ve been able to get! I AM trying to make an even smaller “travel” palette to take to the hospital on my frequent visits…just haven’t decided what to include yet.

Poor sound - I couldn't hear anything

First: do you know your audio went really faint? I have a question. I am making my own “cards” for some CBD, low THC gummies..they are the only ones I have had that don’t make me feel “high”, but still help with pain and sleep. The company told me I can get a permanent discount of I tell others about them, especially those with my genetic disorder. A lot of folks in my support group, like me, are 50-80, have no desire to get “high” but bc of everything happening with the opiate crisis-we no longer get pain meds, even like last month, I had 2 rotator cuff tears and 2 stress fractures at the same time. Anyways, here’s my question: I made a bunch of light green (diluted sap green-I did a few with diluted azure green too) hemp leaves with watercolor and I want to do a stylized RX over the leaf with one of my inks. I’m going to put my link they gave me on the back in ink, with “30% discount” each time they use my link-then laminate them. The main reason I’m making the cards is my pain mgt doc said he’d also recommend them to other patients and I’m going to leave some with my primary Doc too. This company makes different, what I call, “specialized, gourmet” gummies with different strains, cannabinoids and terpenes-so I want the cards to be reflective of that. I’ve made some examples to test different colors over the leaf, but they either clash or just look strange. I don’t have quite as many inks as you do, but I’m willing to get another one. I’m also going to try my inktense pencils on top of them tonight. My friend suggested either a light pink or light red..and add just a touch of Kourtney’s..I can’t remember what she calls it, the bright silvery “holographic” glitter paint on top…just afraid that might be TOO much, but going to play with it tonight. As i may have said before…my vision loss seems to be affecting my ability to paint things so they look cohesive. I finished one last week and am going to redo quite a bit of it to make color corrections. It looked fine when it was still wet, but when it dried…😖😂 it was a rare painting I did flesh tones and…didn’t quite turn out “right” (thank goodness for non-staining paints 😂) Any suggestions?
