You have a fun attitude about pens and your watercolor. My favorite watercolor mixing palate is a pure white porcelain serving tray from Target. I brought one for small servings but had an ah ha moment and quickly got another for my palate. I think I have 3 now. I had 50 years worth of misc mixing palates but this the the only one I kept when I decluttered. Enjoy your workshop
